Thomas -
Thomas refused to even try to talk, which worried you and Jeremy since he was almost a year and 2 months old. Considering that Jeremy never shuts up, you thought Thomas would talk a lot too but all he did was point and make weird noises when he wanted something. So, you and Jeremy had a bet to see who can get Thomas to talk first. So, every day the two of you would try to get Thomas to say Daddy/Mommy. Today was no different as the three of you sat on the floor.
"Thomas, say Daddy."
"No, Thomas, say Mommy."
"Thomas, please say, Daddy, I'm not losing bet."
"Yes, you are Jeremy. Say, Mommy, Thomas. I carried you around for nine months,"
"Don't blackmail him! He's going to say, Daddy!"
Thomas just looked at you two confused as you two went back and forth telling him what to say. He looked away from you two and smiled when he saw Jacques walk by.
"Spy!" Thomas yelled causing you, Jeremy, and Jacques, to freeze.
Thomas got up and ran up to Jacques, hugging his leg. Jacques laughed at both of you, knowing about your guys' bet. Jacques picked up Thomas giving him a hug.
"Looks like you both are wrong about his first word." Jacques laughed, making Thomas laugh.
You and Jeremy were a little piss off knowing that Thomas' first word wasn't either of one of your guys' names and was Spy of all things, but you were happy that he was at least talking.
Jenny -
Jenny could run before she could walk or talk. Jenny loved running around the place and Jeremy would always run with her, having little races. While Jenny and Jeremy were having one of their many races when Jeremy tripped over one of Thomas' toys and hit his face into the wall. Jenny stop and looked at Jeremy, she started to cry.
"Dad-dy!" She cried and ran over to Jeremy.
Jeremy didn't even have time to get excited that Jenny said her first word since he was more worried that his little girl was crying.
"No, Jenny, it's okay. Daddy is okay." He panicked picking Jenny up. "Don't cry pumpkin, I'm okay. See, I'm perfectly fine."
Jenny stopped crying, hugging Jeremy's chest.
"That's right, pumpkin. Everything is alright," Jeremy whispered rubbing her back. "I'm so proud that you talked. I can wait to rub this in Mommy's face that you said, Daddy."
Pyro
Mary -
When Mary got around the age to start talking, you and Phoenix were always calling each other mommy and daddy thinking Mary would catch on one day. You, Phoenix, and Mary were sitting in the living room, you and Mary were playing with her pony toys and Phoenix sat down next to you, smiling as he watched his two favorite girls. Phoenix had started to get thirsty, so he got up to go get a drink. When Mary saw Phoenix leaving, she started to panic, she was scared he wouldn't come back. She started screaming and crying.
"DADDY!" She cried.
Phoenix immediately stopped and you drop the toy in your hand in surprise. Phoenix ran back over to Mary, picking her up and giving her a hug.
"It's okay, I'm not going to disappear on you, Mary," Phoenix told her. "I love you so much, Princess."
"I told you she would love you." You said smiling at Phoenix.
Ruby -
It was 11:00 at night, you were in bed waiting for Phoenix to come to bed. When he finally came into your guy's room, you notice he had Ruby in his arms, who was wide awake when she should be fast asleep already.
"What's she doing up?" You questioned since you didn't hear any crying.
"I went to check on her and she was wide awake," Phoenix answered sitting on the bed. "She wouldn't fall asleep, I figured I'd play with her to make her sleepy."
Phoenix put Ruby on the bed and she crawled over to you and smiled.
"Hey, there princess." You coo, poking her nose and making her laugh.
"Hey, Ruby. Look who I got." Phoenix said grabbing Ruby's attention. In his hand, he had a bright pink unicorn in his hand. "Hi, Princess Ruby, my name is Pinkie and I love you."
You laughed at Phoenix's horrible girl voice and Ruby started to laugh too. Your little girl reached out to the unicorn.
"Pony!" She cheered happily.
You looked at Phoenix and he looked back at you with a big smile.
Scarlet -
It was the middle of the winter and the base was hit with one of the worst snowstorms of the year and everyone trying to stay warm. You did everything you could to keep your 3 little girls as warm as possible, praying that Phoenix and Dell can hurry back with the firewood to get the fire started to warm up the base.
"I'm so cold, Mommy." Mary cried wrapping the blanket around her.
"I know sweetie, Daddy, and Uncle Dell will be back soon and they'll start the fire to warm us all up." You said.
"They better freakin' hurry or we're all going to freeze to death!" Jeremy groaned.
Mary gasped and started to tear up a bit, which caught everyone's attention.
"Shut up, Jeremy. You're scaring Phoenix's little one!" Jacques yelled smacking Jeremy in the back of the head. "Don't listen to him, Mary, he's just being stupid."
The door suddenly opened and Phoenix and Dell ran in carrying a bunch of firewood.
"Daddy, you're back!" Mary cheered. "Jeremy said we were all going to die because of the cold."
"Jeremy! Don't scare my princess like that or I'll throw you outside to freeze to death." Phoenix scolded the young runner. "Don't you worry about Jeremy, Mary. I'll have this place warmed up in no time."
Phoenix was true to his word and had the fire burning in no time and everyone was relieved. As you all sat around the fire, you noticed Scarlet tried to reach for the flames.
"No, Scarlet. Don't get too close, you'll hurt yourself." You said as you grabbed her and put her in your lap.
"Fire!" Scarlet yelled.
Everyone turned their head to the little girl.
"Did she just say fire?" Dell asked.
"Fire! Fire! Fire!" She said over and over again.
"Oh my god, she did!" Phoenix cheered. "That's right Scarlet, that's a fire."
"She's just as weird as you." Jeremy joked earning him another hard smack in the head, this time from you, not letting anyone talk shit about your husband and little angel.
Daniel -
Daniel was a strange case when it came to talking. He was starting kindergarten and still hasn't said a word, everyone just assumed he was mute. You were a little worried, but since Daniel was always so shy, you just figure he was too scared to talk. You and Phoenix try to encourage Daniel to talk, and even your three girls try to help and get him to talk, but nothing was working until Scarlet decided to get Daniel to talk. Scarlet and Daniel were sitting on the floor and Scarlet kept telling Daniel words to say.
"Say, Scarlet, Daniel."
"..."
"How about Mary, can you say Mary?"
"..."
"What about Ruby, can you say Ruby's name?"
"..."
"Can you say anything?!"
"..."
Scarlet got frustrated at Daniel, so she told his paper plate mask away. This caused Daniel to panic, trying to grab it.
"Mine!" He yelled.
Scarlet smiled at the fact that Daniel said something. "Mom, Dad, Daniel is talking." She yelled.
You and Phoenix ran into the room.
"Mine! Mine! Mine!" Daniel yelled trying to grab the mask again, but when he couldn't reach it so he started to cry.
"Scarlet! We didn't want to tease him to get him to talk." Phoenix scolded Scarlet taking the mask away from her and giving it back to Daniel.
"Mine," Daniel said again hugging the mask before putting it back on.
Medic
Gilbert and Amelie -
It had been a stressful day for Ludwig, after a really bad battle. The whole team was more beat up than usual and it took hours for him to patch everyone up. It really upset Ludwig that he had to take care of the whole team when he should be spending more time taking care of his twins. After finishing his last patient, Ludwig headed into your guy's room and smile when he saw you and the twins playing on the bed. You looked up at Ludwig and smiled as he walked over and lay down on the bed.
"Hey, love. That bad?" You asked running your hand through his hair.
"Jou have no idea... Mundy was giving me such a hard time as I stitched him up and Jeremy was acting more like a baby zhan zhe twins." Ludwig said taking off his glasses and rubbing his eyes and letting out a yawn.
"How about you get some sleep, I got everything under control with these two."
"Nein, I want to spend some time with Gilbert and Amelie. I don't want to make jou do all zhe work all zhe time." Ludwig told you.
Gilbert and Amelie suddenly crawled over to Ludwig and they both place one of their hands over Ludwig's eyes.
"Sleep." They both simply said.
You were shocked that Gilbert and Amelie talked, but you soon smiled.
"See even your son and daughter want their daddy to take a break." You laughed.
Ludwig couldn't help but laugh too. "Alright, jou all win. I'll go to sleep."
Sniper
Jack -
You were out on a mission for Miss Pauling, so Mundy was watching Jack alone. Jack was occupied with his toys, so Mundy decided to go grab a drink real quick. As he headed to the kitchen, he stubbed his toe on the coffee table.
"Ahh, piss!" Mundy yelled holding on to his foot.
"Piss!"
Mundy's eyes widened, turning around and looking at Jack.
"Piss!" Jack repeated himself.
"No no no, Jack, that's a bad word. Please don't say that." Mundy panicked picking up Jack.
"Piss! Piss! Piss!" Jack yelled again.
"Jack, please, stop it. If your mother hears you say that she'll kill me."
"Too late, I'm already going to kill you."
Mundy turned around to see you behind him, looking very pissed off.
"Piss!" Jack laughed.
You glared at Mundy, giving him a look that pretty much tells him he is fucked.
"Oh, dear..." Mundy whispered scared for what you were going to do to him.
Rose -
Rose was about 8 months old and you made it your mission to get Rose to speak. You spent every day telling Rose different things to try and say, but she just made noises at you. Today was no different.
"How about you say, Mommy, Rose." You told her.
"How about you say, Daddy, Rose," Mundy said walking into the room.
"Oh no, she's going to say, Mommy, you already got Jack to say his first words and it wasn't pretty. It's my turn to get our child to talk."
"Oh come on, (Y/N), I said I was sorry." Mundy groaned sitting down next to you two. "It's not like I'm going to do it again."
"Yeah, well I going to make sure she talks because of me." You said poking Mundy's nose.
You two didn't notice Jack walk in as you guys talk, but Rose noticed him and smiled. Rose crawled over to him and pointed at the stuffed bear in his hands.
"Toy," Rose said causing you and Mundy to turn your heads in shock.
Jack laughed handing the bear to Rose. "Here you can play with it, Rose." Jack laughed.
You lay on the floor and groaned, annoyed that you weren't the reason your daughter talked.
Lily-
Lily was obsessed with going to the zoo. Mundy personally hates the zoo, mostly because he hated to see animals locked up when they should be running around in the wild, but since Lily would get upset if you don't go for a while, Mundy had to suck up his hate for the zoo to make his little girl happy. While at one of those visits, you and Mundy were sitting on a bench watching lions play around. Rose was sitting in your lap and Lily was sitting in Mundy's, Jack was sitting in between the two of you.
"Hey, Lily, do you know what that animal is?" Jack asked pointing to the Koalas.
Lily didn't say anything, she just made noises.
"Those are Koalas, Lily. They're from Australia, just like Daddy." Jack told her.
"K-Kwala." Lily tried to say.
You and Mundy froze.
"Lily, you said your first word!" You cheered.
Lily smiled repeating herself.
Spy
Marinette -
At 11 months old, Marinette has done everything but speak and it started to worry you. Jacques wasn't worried at all since he remembered it taking Jeremy a while to talk to when he was a baby, but you still had your worries. As usual, you were sitting on the couch with Marinette in your lap, trying to encourage her to talk.
"Come on, Marinette. Can you say something for Mommy?" You asked giving her a smile.
Marinette just turned her head to the side in confusion and didn't say a word.
"Ahh, this is hopeless. She's not talking, Jacques." You groaned laying back on the couch.
"Come on, (Y/N). She will speak soon, you just need to give her time." Jacques tried to calm you down.
"She's 11 months old and it's been long enough. Something is wrong." You said in frustration.
"(Y/N), I promise you that nothing is wrong with her. She'll speak when she wants to. She probably stressed out with all the pressure you're putting on her." Jacques said just as frustrated as you.
"Oh, I see it's my fault. Thanks a lot, Jacques." You yelled putting Marinette in Jacques' lap and storming away.
Jacques groaned, getting up from the couch. Luckily Jeremy came into the living and Jacques asked him to watch Marinette for a moment. Jacques then followed you to the kitchen.
"I didn't mean it like that, (Y/N). I'm not blaming you, I just think if we left her alone about talking, she'll talk." Jacques comforts you pulling you into a hug.
"I'm sorry I yelled... I'm just so scared something is wrong with our little girl," You cried.
"Shhh, Mon Amour. everything will be alright." He soothed you.
"Dad! (Y/N)! Come here quick!" Jeremy yelled from the other room.
You two of you looked at each other worried before running back to the living room.
"What did you do, Jeremy!" Jacques yelled as you two stormed into the living room.
"It's nothing bad. Show them Marinette." Jeremy said looking at Marinette who sitting on the floor next to him.
"Jeremy!" Marinette yelled.
You smiled running over to Marinette, picking her up, and kissing her cheek.
"You finally spoke, I'm so proud of you, Marinette." You cried hugging her.
"My awesomeness is that powerful, she could help but say my name," Jeremy said looking at Jacques.
Jacques rolled his eyes, but let it go just happy Marinette finally said something.
(A/N - Sorry, if these are not the greatest, I haven't been sleeping well for the past week or two and it's starting to affect my health. I will try to get more chapters out but it might take some time.)
