Weeks of teaching and training for the Black Eagles,I was lazy most of the time as Byleth would hit me on my head or throw a book at me which she has surprisely got good at doing. But,the day has come for the Mock battle between the three houses of the Officers Academy and the Black Eagles had the most deadly ace in their hands,two people who are experienced in combat that don't play.
Byleth: Well,today is the day for actual combat...
Y/N: And the kids will see us mess up some people,eh?
She glared at me which I just whimper and put up my hands.
Byleth: Be a good boy and don't hurt every person so badly,understood?
Y/N: Yes ma-
Sothis: And there's the loyal dog again like I said before
Y/N: Hey! Shut it,kid!
Sothis: Kid? I'm a goddess and you're a moral who should be respectable to me!
Y/N: I'll respect you when you actually face me!
Sothis: Oh,that easy then?
She went quiet as Byleth sighed and a little girl who had green long hair with two ponytails which goes into braids,the little girl looked at me with annoyance.
Sothis: Now loyal dog! You should respect me now!
Y/N: ... Pfffft!
I started laughing as Byleth and Sothis looked at each other for a moment,I fall onto my knees while my sides start to hurt from laughing.
Y/N: You... You want me to respect a child?
Sothis: You said if I showed myself,you'll respect me!
Y/N: Kid,I fear Byleth's glare not a child
Byleth: Y/N!
I instantly got into a kneeling position as Byleth crossed her arms and Sothis smirks at me.
Sothis: And you say you aren't a loyal dog but you act like one when Byleth speaks threatening towards you
Y/N: *Looks at Sothis*I ain't a loy-
Byleth: Y/N,you will remain silent until I allow you to speak for right now
I lower my head as Byleth looked at me and I nodded then stood up.
Sothis: Loyal dog!
' I forever hate that kid... '
Sothis taunts me about being Byleth's loyal dog as we made our way to the classroom where Edelgard stood outside waiting for us.
Edelgard: It's finally time for the mock battle,this is my chance to measure the both of your worth as an instructors

Byleth: Y/N...
I quickly shut up as I felt both of their glares targeted at me and I fully understand why they're glaring.
' My fellow worker and a student are intimidating me!? I feel as if half of my masculine has disappeared by the night... '
Edelgard: Anyways... Do you two think you both can rise to the challenge?
Byleth: I think showing some other students that we're ain't playing will be helpful
Edelgard: So confident,this will be interesting
' Confident... But I didn't even get a say in it... '
Edelgard: Each of us has undergone strict training,we're prepared for anything that comes our way
Y/N: What about accidentally injure?
Byleth: Y/N-
Edelgard: Yes we have prepared for that as well... Why would you want to know that?
Y/N: Byleth said I would get my ass kicked if I hurt any of the other students very badly
Edelgard: Like what you did to Caspar?
Y/N: I told him I was sorry!
Byleth: If he said he is sorry then he is sorry,Y/N shush now
I became silence again.
Edelgard: *sighs*Anyways... That means there's no need to hold back but for you,Y/N
Y/N: Understood... I won't want to hurt the other students like Caspar
Byleth: Wait... Maybe,we can use you for that
Me and Edelgard looked at Byleth in shock as she rubs her chin then puts up one finger.
Byleth: Let's just send out Y/N in the frontline

Claude: Hey there!
We turned to see the two other house leaders approaching us three,probably to hear our plan.
Claude: Did we miss our invite to this strategy meeting? Oh,no worries- we'll just join jn now
Edelgard: Simply tell me your weaknesses,and you're welcome to stay
I looked at Edelgard and offers a high-five which she accepted as we three looked at the two.
Claude: Ah,so you can't use unless you know my weakness? Poor princess,you really should believe in yourself more

Edelgard: I spare no effort when pursuing victory. As a master of schemes,I should think you would understand
Claude: Schemes? Me? I have no idea what you're talking about! I plan to fight fair and square,as ever
Dimitri: Hearing the words "fair and square" from Claude can only be a bad omen

Claude: Your Highnesses haven't known me for very long but you already have me figured out,don't you?
I kinda started to block them out for awhile as I thought of my prosthetic arm then noticed a tiny drip of blood coming from Tanto's sheath until I felt someone grab my hood.
Y/N: Huh!?
Byleth: Right,Y/N?
Y/N: Yeah!
Claude: No use trying to hide how you two really feel,Teaches. I can see it in your eyes- you two don't intend to lose
' Losing... But- '
I took a glaze at Tanto's sheath,seeing not signs of blood on the white sheath or even the bandages.
' Was I just seeing things... Maybe,it wants blood but it can wait... '
I heard footsteps moving towards us and we sees both Manuela with Hanneman
' Oh no,it's her again! '
Y/N: Byleth... Can I leave?
I whispers to Byleth who looked at me and shakes her head.
Byleth: Even through her flirts,you're staying here...
Manuela: Aw,how precious. Looks like you two and the students have become fast friends
Hanneman: While I am pleased that you two are taking the initiative to acquaint yourselves with the students,i'm afraid it's about time for the faculty strategy meeting
Y/N: Faculty strategy meet-
Claude: Ah,how time flies! In that case,I'll see you later
Dimitri: Edelgard,Professors,be careful out there
The two left as I got the bright idea and chuckled which got everyone's attention on me.
Y/N: Ah! I need to go get my armor ready,Byleth tell me what happened in the meeting!
I rushed away from them as Byleth reaches for me but I'm already around the corner.
Byleth: He really doesn't like working... Understandable
I heard those last words before I left them and goes to my room,getting my armor ready for the battle.
"Time to show some strength!"

The Battlefield
Y/N Pov
I put on my helm and walked out into the field right in front of the students who stared at my armor then slams the wood blade into the ground as I waited for the battle to began.
Edelgard: Y/N?
Y/N: You said I'll be on the frontline and here I am...
Byleth: Good,and you'll be the main attacker in this strategy!
Y/N: Yes ma'am!
Ferdinand: That's some armor!
Caspar: I won't mind having that to protect me!
Dorothea: He kinda looks like a white knight in shining armor
I heard Dorothea as I turned my head towards the students and pulled out the wood sword from the ground.
Y/N: I ain't some white knight in shining armor,I'm the fallen knight...
Edelgard: Alright,the mock battle has begun!
Byleth: Y/N,go ahead and do your thing!
I smiled inside of my helm as I took out the wood daggers and throws them in the air with the other hand holding the wood sword. The other houses noticed me walking out into the open alone while I juggle the wood daggers with one hand.
Lorenz: One lowly knight? Ignatz and I will dismantle the opposition
' First one to go... '
I turned my attention towards Lorenz as I let one of the daggers fall and used the same technique but I put enough strength just to knock him unconscious.
Lorenz: A dagg-
He was hit in the gut by the dagger which he holds his stomach in pain as he falls into the ground unconscious,I caught the other wood daggers.
Caspar: The same way he did it to me
Petra: It is strange he does that
Y/N: *chuckles* Anyone else think they're all that? Because,I'll straighten you out right now about that thought of yours!
I noticed everyone shook their heads and I just laughed as I started juggling the wood daggers again.
Byleth: Y/N!
Y/N: Yes?
Byleth: Let the students at least have to fight
Y/N: Alrighty! Let's go everyone!
The battle was kinda long as we were facing two houses at once but with most of them trying to avoid me and I use the technique of using strength or my one shot attack,say it how you like it!
Jeralt: All right,that's that! The winner of this mock battle is... The Black Eagles House!
Edelgard: Even through it was just a mock battle,we defeated both houses masterfully-
Y/N: I did most of the work!
Edelgard: As well of Y/N's affairs,take pride in this victirt everyone!
I see everyone happy for each other or just shock that I was doing most of it,I sighed.
' That was surprisely fun for m- '
???: Y/N...
That voice,I noticed my surroundings were covered by the darkness and I stood in the middle of all. I looked around for anyone in this darkness as I stepped further into some liquid,I looked down to see blood on my boots and looked up.
Y/N: When did I...
???: You could have harvest some blood... You know?
I felt a demonic pressure behind me as I spinned around to nothing but darkness which the floor was being covered in blood and I spot a crimson mist from something in the darkness.
???: Why do we stay here? We could be immortal and can rule thid worl-
Sothis: Loyal dog!
Y/N: Sothis!?
I looked around for that little girl but that's when I realized I was being surrounded by crimson mist.
Sothis: Listen to me,close your eyes and start counting!
Y/N: Counting!? How wi-
Sothis: Do it,loyal dog!
I groaned as I closed my eyes and started counting.
Y/N: 1.... 2.... 3... 4...
I felt someone punch my chest which I opened my eyes to see a worried Byleth who had the students behind her and the other teachers as well.
Byleth: Y/N...
I just quickly looked for that crimson mist before looking back to everyone,I took off my helm.
Y/N: I'm fine,everyone! Just lost in thought for a moment!
Edelgard: You sure,Y/N?
Claude: Yeah man,spacing out after the battle will worry people
Manuela: Maybe,he just needs a quick checkup from me
' Rather not! '
Y/N: I really am! I just tried from using my strength...
I chuckled as they still looked a bit worried for me and I just sighed.
Byleth: He's fine,let's get back everyone!
Everyone started walking back as I just looked at Tanto which is bloody... When did I do that. I stared at it for a moment and followed after everyone else while someone else watched.
???: That face... I guess it would be time to meet him again...

Y/N Pov
I was sitting outside with that cat from before which I named Fluffles [If anyone gets that reference!] But,whatever that was it wanted something from me and if not... For Sothis I would be dealing with something bad.
Sothis: I deserve a thank you?
I looked to my side to see Sothis there who points to my other side and I see Byleth sitting there,we just were in silence for a moment.
Y/N: Thank you...
Sothis: What was that? I couldn't hear you doggy!
Y/N: Thank you,Sothis... Is she always like this?
Byleth: You get used to her randomly speaking and becoming herself after a little bit
Sothis: Hey! Respect your goddess!
Y/N & Byleth: oh shut it!
We both chuckled as we realized we spoke in unison and Sothis groans.
Sothis: Always... Why were you in a demon realm?
Y/N: Demon realm? You mean that place where the... Everything happened...?
Sothis: Yes,it's a demon realm... And you somehow got inside of there
Byleth: and considering it involves a demon,bad news for you...
Y/N: How... How I do change that?
Sothis: I don't know but... I think you must have lived through death....
Y/N: Live through death... I think I understand....
I lifted up my shirt to show them the scar that is my heart and Sothis seems surprised by it,I think.
Sothis: Understandable,why that teacher lady wants you.... Pretty muscular and well shaped,right?
Byleth: Yeah,I bet I could cut butter with that
I blushed lightly as I let my shirt drop and looked at the two then crossed my arms.
Sothis: Wait,anymore live threatening scars?
I groaned as I just took off my shirt and show my many scars that should have killed me but not at all.
Sothis: You really should be dead...

We looked to Dorothea who sees Y/N's chest and her face becomes a bright pink as he faceplams.
Y/N: Dorothea... Please don't!
Dorothea: I'm both shocked at the amount of scars... But,your body as well
Sothis: Maybe,I shouldn't have let him do this out here?
Byleth: You think?
I listened to Y/N making sure Dorothea won't tell anyone about this and she agreed on one term,that he sits her during lunch as well of no ignoring her which I guess he did most of the time.
Y/N: .... Fine!
Dorothea: Nice,having you around should help me with my project

They glared at each other for a moment before she walked off and he watched her do it then puts on his shirt.
Byleth: Next time,let's just go to my room to talk in private
Y/N: Could have thought about that sooner?

He looked at her and I groaned.
Y/N: Explain?
Byleth: Later... It's getting dark and a new month ahead of us
I stood up from the ground as he sighed and picks up the cat then hands it to me,I looked at it which it meows at me then I looked to him.
Y/N: You seem more responsible than me,take care of him until I'm done with patrol
He walked away from me as Sothis looked at me and I sighed.
Sothis: Sleep?
Byleth: It would be for the greater
I started walking to my room as I held the cat.
"A demon realm... That he went to... Bad news..."
