I felt something asking my left side. It felt urgent but I was way to tired. "Alex, wake up."
"Not now, I'm sleeping." I mumbled. Sel continued to shake me.
"Wake the fuck up Alex! Lucian will be here in 20 minutes."
"Leave me the fuck alone." I mumbled.
"You won't be long in the washroom anyways, so I'll wake you up in 10 minutes."
"Great." I was sarcastic and sleepy. I closed my eyes and I was back in my dreamless sleep when I felt something shake my left side again. In my dreamless sleep, I would see black darkness. I decided that the thing shaking me wasn't important so I ignored it. Then it shook me again. I opened my eyes slowly to see Lucian and Sel talking.
"... I'm not sure." What? Why was Lucian in my room and what wasn't he sure of?
"Look, they won't care if you do that, as long as she's there." She must mean me. So, do what to my and why won't who care? This was confusing. I closed my eyes, not wanting to deal with this.
"Alright, fine. She always finds new ways to get me in trouble." I felt someone lifting me off the bed. Was this a dream? I didn't think so. It felt to real. I apparently was on someone's shoulder. I'm guessing Lucian.
Thump. Ow. My head must have hit the door frame. "Oops." Oops? Oops! My head fucking hit the door frame and it might have caused me brain damage (A.N. Not that there's anything to damage, burn!) and all he could say was oops! Asshole. They started walking through the hall towards the dinning room. I opened my eyes a little bit but, I couldn't see anyone. They were probably looking at us. My ass might be seen to everyone there but that was the least of my worries.
I was placed in the same chair I was in yesterday. I could feel the arm rests on either side of me. When I was placed properly, I heard a soft voice. "Alex, Alex, wake up sleepy head." Lucian's voice was soft, soothing and so quiet, it was barely a whisper.
"I'm tired. Leave me alone."
"I know your tired but you have to."
"Take me back to my room, please." I begged sleepily.
"How about this, you stay awake this whole day, and I'll give you chocolate." His offer was tempting. I was still tired as hell.
"I'n not a dog, Leash." I giggled. "Leash." I started to giggle some more.
"Very funny. Open your eyes." I shook my head. "Please Alex, for me." I opened my eyes and he smiled at me. My head was facing him and away from everyone else. "All you Have done here was sleep most of the time Alex." I pouted giving him the puppy- dog eyes. He chuckled lightly and I couldn't help but join him.
This moment was good. To bad Adamant fucked it up. He suddenly appeared next to Lucian. "I didn't know you could train dogs." He whispered. I imagined everyone else were all staring at us.
"Fuck off. Thanks Leash."
"No problem Alex. You look cute when you sleep." He beamed at me.
"I guess I owe you." I ran a hand through my hair and it wasn't all knotted up and tangled.
"I'll think of something." His eyes flickered to Sel. Adamant must have not seen him but I understood and I nodded. He gave me a cocky grin and left. Adamant was fuming and he disappeared, back to his seat. I smiled when I saw him sulking in his seat. All of the attention was on me.
"Stop staring at me and eat your damn food!" They all went back to their food.
"You continue to surprise me Alex." Sel was next to me.
"I love to surprise people. It usually pisses them off."
"Why didn't you get up?"
"I was tired."
"You slept all fucking day yesterday and this morning."
"I AM STILL TIRED." I didn't shout but I was still loud. "Thanks for yesterday. What happened after I left?"
"Hallelujah, I finally get a thanks! Um, when you left Eve had to be sent down to the doctors office." She wasn't here at the table. Good thing too, I didn't want to punch her again and get in even more trouble. "When she was walking, we could see the whole left side of her face was red!" We laughed and she gave me a high five. She wasn't at the table. A few of the girls were giving me dirty looks so I gave them the finger. The look on their faces was priceless.
"Congrats for yesterday! You showed those bitches who's boss."
"Thanks Mike."
"Anyways, who's the hottie?"
"Lucian? You do know you see him every morning?"
"When?"
"Lucian brings us all down here. Didn't you know?"
"Oh. I can flirt with him every morning."
"I'm pretty sure he's straight. Sorry Mike." Sel was listening through the whole conversation. Her head sorta snapped up when she heard me.
"He is? Oh thank god." Sel breathed a sigh of relief.
"Well that's what I'm guessing."
"Oh." Sel was staring at her food smiling like an idiot.
"Who" Michael mouthed. I nodded my head in Sel's direction. His mouth hung open. I put a finger to my smiling lips. He nodded. "So Alex, have you met Evan?" He reminded me of Barney from the show how I met your mother.
I giggled. "No I haven't." He pointed to the guy next to him. That must have mean't he was Mike's roommate. I can't believe I didn't notice him before. He had pitch black hair like me but his was completely parted on the side. He had human blue eyes and I had colour- changing brown ones. They just changed from black- to- dark brown- to- light brown. Not in that order.
"H-hello, I'm Evan, Michael's roommate." He extended his hand and it was a bit shaky.
"Alex." I shook his hand and mine was shaky too. "Are you okay with Mike?"
"Hey! I'm right here you know."
"Shut up Michael. Yeah I guess. As long as he doesn't rape me in the middle of the night, I'm good." He chuckled cutely and I smirked at Mike, who was shrugging.
"I wont rape you at night, maybe in the morning, yeah morning it is." I couldn't help but laugh.
"TOUCH ME I KILL YOU." Mike's face dropped playfully, which made me laugh even more.
"Are you...?"
"No, I'm straight."
"Sorry, I was just asking."
"It's okay. Nice hit yesterday, she deserved it." I didn't see him yesterday in the room. I think he just keeps to himself.
"Oh thanks. So, what brings you here?"
"Um, I'd rather not say." I nodded in agreement. He didn't have to tell me if he didn't want to and I was okay with that. I'd find out eventually. Evan didn't eat anything. He just had a glass of water. This time I scarfed bacon, eggs and more bacon down my throat. With all my sleeping, I got no food,
The four of us got up and got our files. Mike and Evan had to clean every patient's room while Sel and I cleaned the bathrooms in everyone's room. I wasn't looking forward to this. Hopefully we bumped into each other. We started of doing our bathroom and it was clean but we wanted to hang out for a while. Well, she did. I wanted to interrogate her.
"So, do you like Lucian?" Fuck. Fuck, fuck, fuck. It just slipped out. I wanted to ease it into the conversation, but, it's to late now.
"No. That's silly. We are here for Adamant not Lucian. I mean how could I? Why you asking? Did he say that he likes me? I mean, I don't care. I mean, of course not." She was turning a deep shade of red.
"Aw. Sel like Lucian, Sel likes Lucian, Sel likes-" She covered my mouth with her hand. I should mention, we weren't at our room yet. We had to go to the supply closet to get the cleaning stuff. There was a guard with us and sadly, it wasn't Lucian.
"Shut up! I don't like him!" She was getting redder by the second.
"Okay, sssuuurrreee you don't." I said it as sarcastic as I could.
"What about you? Your hand was shaking to touch Evan. Your eyes widened a little when you saw him. You like Evan."
"No, I just didn't see him there yesterday." I don't blush. I don't know why but I didn't. That was a useful thing at this moment. I sorta did like Evan, but who could blame me? I'm stuck in a place and forced to like someone and I never do what I'm told. "Honestly, I swear."
"Sssuuurrreee you don't."
"Shut the fuck up." We walked back to out bathroom and cleaned it a little bit. Sam came in and checked the bathroom.
"This is great! You guys can go to the other ones now." She smiled at me and left. That was weird.
"Is she always that happy?" I asked as we went to the room next to ours. The bathroom wasn't that messy.
"She just likes making the patients feel more at home." That's great. She's making us feel happy in this hell hole. That's like being nice to an animal to calm it then killing it before it caan even feel scared.
Lucian came in and spoke to the guard who was supposed to watch us. He nodded and left the room.
"Hi Leash. where did the other guy go?" He just stood there ignoring me. "Hello, anyone home?" I took off my gloves and walked to him. "Lucian, what's wrong?" He moved away from me and underneath the camera.
"I'm being watched. He didn't like what happened this morning." Three guesses who he is. "He thinks I'm helping you escape. He normally checks if everyone cleans everything right. He's in the camera room watching me. My punishment was to come here and ignore you so you'll hate me but, your my friend and I couldn't. Your being watched closer now. I'm so sorry Alex."
"You have nothing to be sorry for. But some one is gonna pay for this and he's sitting in the camera room watching you right now."
"Please Alex, don't do anything. You'll just get in more trouble." Me and Sel shared a secret conversation. She told me to go and she can finish. I nodded and I ran out the bathroom, but I wasn't out whoever's bedroom this is, because Lucian blocked me. "Please Alex."
"Take me to the camera room."
"No. Alex please. You'll get us into more trouble."
"Stay here and I'll give him a piece of my mind."
"No Alex. I can't let you leave."
"So he's jealous. And if I can't leave, I'll bring him here." I walked up to Lucian and I kissed him on the cheek. Lucian looked worried and his whole face stiffened. And in seconds, Adamant was at the door, he looked infuriated.
"What the hell is this?!" He hissed through his teeth. "Lucian do you remember our little talk."
"No, no, no. I kissed him, blame me. Lucian can you check on Sel." He looked at Adamant who nodded and he left the room.
"What the hell is wrong with you?" He hissed at me.
"Aw, are you jealous? What happened to your type? Since I'm not her you don't need to worry about me and who I kiss. And relax, it was just on the cheek."
"I'm not jealous. I'm just trying to show him his place. I can't have my staff walk all over me like that. If he does, the rest could follow and I'm not in the mood to kill all of them."
"Listen you fucking asshole, there is nothing going on between me and Lucian. And if there was, it's none of your fucking business. He wouldn't let me leave so I had to get you here."
"Well then, what do you want?" He calmed down a bit but now he just sounded pissed.
"Why the fuck are you annoyed with Lucian. It's a little harmless flirting and I don't like him that way. He knows that."
"How the hell should I know?"
"Well stop spying on us and I need to ask you a question?" I took a deep breath. "Do you have any feelings toward Sel?" I whispered knowing that they might be able to hear us.
"Why? Would that make you jealous?" He whispered with a smirk on his face.
"I don't get jealous. I move on. And answer me truthfully. Do you have any feelings towards Sel?"
"No."
"Well, you need to help me set up Lucian and Sel. You were wrong. It's not me, it's Sel."
"Why should I help you?"
"Since I know what makes you get pissed. And you don't have to. I can do it without you but I need you for some small details."
"So your going to use me?"
"Yes."
"Fine, I'll help you, babez."
