"So, do anything interesting on the weekend?"
Emma throws her textbook and math paper on the desk beside me, dumping her bag on the ground and filling the empty seat.
"Not really," I smile. "I mean, my mom's old friend came over yesterday with her family."
The door suddenly swings open, crashing loudly onto the wall behind it. Jason runs in, depositing his belongings on the desk beside me.
At that moment the teacher walks in, making Jason slide down in his chair.
"Are you okay?" I ask him, confused by his behaviour.
"Yeah. I'm fine."
"Are you sure?"
"I'm fine." He snaps.
"Right, sorry. I was just asking."
"Then just don't."
