It had been a few days since Shoto met (Y/N)'s father, or rather, learned about (Y/N)'s father. Since he had figured out that Aizawa was his girlfriend's father, he felt self-conscious. He feared that every little thing he did was being judged by Aizawa in order to see if he was really 'worthy' of dating his daughter. Aizawa on the other hand, had been a bit less harsh on Shoto. No one in the class realized this, only (Y/N) and Kirishima had noticed. He would glare less at Shoto, and (Y/N) noticed that he even extended one of Shoto's breaks by three minutes. It was Thursday after classes when she finally talked to someone about it. (Y/N) was standing with Shoto, waiting for him to finish packing. Suddenly, she felt someone tap her shoulder. She turned around to see her shark-toothed friend. "Hey Kiri!" She greeted. "Hey (Y/N), can we talk?" He replied. (Y/N) nodded and turned to her boyfriend. "I'll meet up with you in a few minutes, okay?" She asked, kissing his cheek. "Alright, I'll be with Midoriya." He replied. She nodded and Shoto walked over to his broccoli friend. She then turned to Kirishima. "So, what's up?" She asked. "Have you noticed Aizawa acting...different?" He asked, eyes filled with confusion. (Y/N) tilted her head, confused. "Different how?" She questioned. Kirishima sighed before continuing. "He seems to be acting a bit nicer to Todoroki. It started the day after he met him." He explained. (Y/N)'s eyes widened and she nodded her head rapidly. "Oh yeah! Did you notice he extended his break by a few minutes?" She asked. Kirishima nodded and (Y/N) sighed. "It's weird, like really weird. He doesn't even give this kind of treatment to me! His own daughter!" She exclaimed, but quickly covered her mouth, realizing they weren't alone. She looked around and made sure no one noticed before continuing. "Yeah! Anyways, I'll text you later. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't going crazy." Kirishima explained, waving goodbye. (Y/N) waved goodbye before heading towards Shoto. 'I guess dad has been acting strange. What should I do about it?' She thought to herself. She finally decided to confront him about it later.
"Hey dad?" She called into her house. She had just gotten back from a small after school date with Shoto. "Yeah?" She heard her father reply. "Can we talk?" (Y/N) asked, her voice had a hint of uneasiness. "Yeah, sure. Give me a few minutes to finish this report." Aizawa replied. "Okay!" (Y/N) exclaimed, unpacking her bag. Once she was done, she moved to sit on the couch in their living room. About five minutes later, she could hear shuffling. A few moments passed before she saw her father come shuffling into the living room, rocking his usual sleeping bag. "Hey dad." She greeted, giving a nervous smile. Aizawa raised an eyebrow before joining her on the couch. "Hey? Everything alright?" He asked, turning to face her. Slowly, (Y/N) turned to meet his gaze. "I wanted to talk to about your behaviour..." She said, trailing off towards the end. "Isn't that something I should be saying to you? Not the other way around?" Aizawa joked, a smirk coming to his face. (Y/N) rolled her eyes before continuing. "You've been acting different towards Shoto, I wanted to know why." She explained. Aizawa looked taken aback before clearing his throat. "I have no idea what you're talking about." He replied, looking away. "Don't play dumb. You've glared at him a lot less than you used to. You even extended his break by three minutes today!" She exclaimed. Aizawa sighed and stayed silent for a few minutes, trying to gather some words. "I...I don't want to scare him off." He explained. (Y/N) looked confused before asking for an explanation. "He's your first boyfriend that isn't a piece of shit. Meaning, I actually approve of him. I didn't want to be a dick to him and potentially ruin this for you." He finished. (Y/N) smiled slightly and hugged her dad. Aizawa was shocked for a minute before hugging back. "Thanks dad. That means a lot." She mumbled. Aizawa smiled slightly and pulled away. "Alright, enough of this sappy shit. I know for a fact you have homework, so get to it." He said, standing up from the couch. "Alright, remember that I'm not gonna be home until late tomorrow, I'm meeting Shoto's mother." (Y/N) declared, standing up as well. "Alright." Aizawa replied, walking back to his office. (Y/N) smiled slightly and grabbed her bag, heading to her room.
Time Skip to After School the Next Day
(Y/N) could finally feel the nerves. What started out as a fun idea was now causing her extreme anxiety. In just a few hours, she would be meeting her boyfriend's mother. She quickly packed up her things and turned to Kirishima, who she sat beside. "Kiri! I'm panicking!" She exclaimed, glancing over at her boyfriend, who was speaking with Iida and Midoriya while packing up. "Oh right, you're meeting his mother today." Kirishima said, causing the (H/C) to roll her eyes. "Yes! I am! And I'm panicking!" She replied. "Alright, listen to me. You need to calm down. I felt the same way when I met Backugou's parents. First, breathe with me." He explained, beginning to breathe deeply. She nodded and followed his actions. After a minute of breathing, Kirishima spoke up. "Okay, now then. Everything is going to be okay, you just need to relax. She is going to love you, and you are going to love her. You guys will get along great, and she will approve of you and Todoroki dating!" Kirishima exclaimed. (Y/N) nodded, trying to believe what her best friend was saying. She quickly took a glance over at her boyfriend, and saw that he was no longer chatting with his friends. He looked to be almost finished packing as well. "Shit, he's almost done packing. I'm gonna go to him. Thanks Kiri!" She exclaimed, quickly hugging her best friend. "Anytime, good luck!" He replied, walking off to find Bakugou. (Y/N) took one last deep breath before walking over to her boyfriend. "Hey Shoto..." She greeted, trying to hide her nerves. He slung his bag over his shoulder and turned to see his girlfriend. "Hey love, you ready?" He asked, grabbing her hand. She nodded and gave a small smile. Shoto smiled softly and the two began to make their way out of the school.
While they were walking, Shoto spoke up. "We need to stop at my house first. There is something I need to grab before we go." He explained. (Y/N) nodded. "Wait, isn't your father home?" She questioned. She suddenly felt Shoto's hand tighten around hers. "Unfortunately. I'm sorry, but I guess you're meeting both my parents today." He explained, realizing they were on his street. "Does he even know you have a girlfriend?" She asked, now standing outside his door. "Yes, but I can't say he's too happy about it." He said, opening the door. The two slipped off their shoes and began making their way to Shoto's room. Before reaching his room, they were stopped by Endeavor himself. "Shoto, is this who I think it is?" Endeavor asked, his voice threatening. Shoto's hand clenched around (Y/N)'s, a sign that he was slightly nervous. "Yes father, this is my girlfriend." He explained, gesturing to her with his free hand. (Y/N) quickly bowed in front of Endeavor. "It's a pleasure to meet you sir, I'm (Y/L/N) (Y/N)." She greeted, raising from her bow. Endeavor looked cautiously at the (H/C). "What is your quirk?" Endeavor asked strictly. "My quirk? It's control of the elements. That means I can control water, earth, fire, and air. Along with the addition of ice and metal." She explained. Endeavor nodded before something dawned on him. "Is your father Mr.Element. The pro hero who used to be the third pro hero in the world?" He asked. (Y/N) sighed and nodded her head. "Yeah, he was before he was arrested for child abuse." She said, now clenching Shoto's hand just as tight. "Anyways, we are just making a quick stop. We have places to be." Shoto explained, attempting to end the conversation. Endeavor ignored his son's comment and continued to speak. "I've always admired him, Mr.Element I mean." He said. "Of course you would..." (Y/N) mumbled, unable to keep her comment in her head. "What was that?" Endeavor asked, his voice getting angry. "You heard me." (Y/n) snapped back, beginning to pull Shoto along. The couple managed to get into Shoto's room, Endeavor stomping after them. "Shoto! Get this trash out of my house! I never want to see this dumb bitch again!" He shouted, shaking with anger. Shoto was able to ignore him while he searched for what he needed. (Y/N) sighed, feeling more pain than she thought she would. A part of her kind of wanted Endeavor to accept her as Shoto's girlfriend. "Don't ignore me Shoto! I don't want you seeing her anymore. If you continue to do so, I have means of getting rid of her." Endeavor threatened. (Y/N) stiffened at the comment as Shoto's head snapped towards his father, who had a menacing smirk. "Listen up father, I love her! Nothing, and I mean nothing will separate me from her! I'm sorry that you never found actual love, but that doesn't give you a right to ruin mine!" He snapped, shaking with anger. He grabbed (Y/N)'s hand and stormed passed his father and out of his house, ignoring his father's shouts for him.
Once he was a good distance from his house, he suddenly stopped walking. He turned around and hugged (Y/N), who froze from shock. She quickly melted into it and hugged him back. "I'm sorry, he's just a prick, ignore him." He said, leaning up to kiss her. She smiled into the kiss and kissed back. Once he pulled away, he was confused by her smile. "It's okay. It's like what you said, he's a prick. I don't give a damn what he thinks about our relationship. Now then, shall we go see your mother?" She asked, kissing his cheek quickly. Shoto smiled and nodded, leading the way to the hospital where his mother is.
Once they arrived, Shoto signed them in at the front desk. Once they were permitted, the couple made their way towards his mother's room. Shoto went to go open the door, when he turned around to check on (Y/N). She was shaking a small bit, and twirling her hair. Anyone who looked at her could immediately tell she was nervous. "Hey, it's gonna be okay. My mother will love you, she isn't like my father. I promise." He comforted, giving her a quick hug. (Y/N) nodded and thanked him. Shoto smiled slightly and opened the door, stepping in. (Y/N) was close behind him. "Hello mother, I brought someone with me." He greeted, sitting in front of his mother. Rei smiled and looked over at the door. "Is that her, Shoto?" She asked, softly. Shoto nodded and sighed. "Mother, this is my girlfriend, (Y/L/N) (Y/N)." He said, gesturing over to the (H/C) by the door. (Y/N) quickly bowed. "It's nice to meet you Mrs.Todoroki." She greeted, raising from her bow. Rei gestured for her to join them, and she complied. (Y/N) took a seat beside Shoto, grabbing his hand. "You are really pretty, it's good to finally meet you. I'm Rei." Rei greeted, smiling brightly. (Y/N) flushed at the comment and smiled. The three spent a lovely afternoon together. A few hours passed and before they knew it, it was time to leave. Before they left, Rei spoke up. "(Y/N), I know you might not care about this, but I thought I should tell you. I think you make my son very happy, so I approve of your relationship. Ignore anything his dick of a father might have said." She explained. (Y/n) smiled brightly and nodded. "Thank you so much Mrs.Todoroki! That means a lot!" She exclaimed. Shoto smiled slightly at the fact that his mother approved. "I'll give you guys a moment alone. I'll wait outside Shoto." (Y/N) explained, waving goodbye to Shoto's mother. Once she was outside, Rei turned to Todoroki. "She's lovely. She's a good match for you. I can tell you really love her, and that she really loves you. Hold onto her, don't let what happened to me and your idiot of a father happen to you two." Rei explained, getting up to hug Shoto. Shoto nodded and hugged his mom. "I won't, I promise." He declared, pulling away. He said goodbye and left the room, meeting up with (Y/N). Shoto signed them out and he began walking her back to her house. "So, what do you think of my parents?" Shoto asked cautiously. (Y/N) smiled and looked at him. "I like your mother. She's really nice and pretty. I'm glad she accepts our relationship. Endeavor on the other hand, I don't like all that much." She explained. Shoto nodded. "I agree, but just remember. Whatever he says doesn't matter, I'm not gonna leave you." He explained, gripping her hand. (Y/n) gripped back and the two continued walking, the sun setting behind them.
