Shoto woke up in a dark room. He groaned in pain and tried to blink away his dizziness. 'Where am I? More importantly, where's (Y/N)?' He thought to himself. He slowly raised his head up and got a better look at his surroundings. He looked up and saw his wrists were bound by rope. He began struggling to break free, he had to find (Y/N). "Don't bother..." A voice said. The voice was quiet and weak. He closed his eyes in frustration. "I need to get out! I need to find-" He started, raising his head to look at who spoke to him. He gasped as he saw who it was. "(Y/N)..." He whispered, getting a good look at her. She was in a similar situation. Her right eye was bruised and her wrists were bloody. "I already tried Shoto." She explained, smiling sadly. "Listen to me, I'm going to get us out of here." He declared. "I believe you Shoto." She said. Shoto continued to struggle against the ropes until he heard footsteps. (Y/N)'s eyes widened in fear and Shoto signaled at her to shut her eyes. The two pretended they were still unconscious as two people entered. "They're still knocked out." A deep voice said. "No shit Sherlock. Grab the girl." A tired voice said. Shoto was tempted to raise his head, but he decided against it. He waited until the people left the room before raising his head, only to see he was alone. "Shit..." He whispered. 'I'm coming for you (Y/N), just hold on.' He thought to himself. He continued to struggle against the ropes, only to fail in the end. He soon gave up, realizing his efforts were pointless. He took a look at his wrists, which were now bloody like (Y/N)'s. All of a sudden, a scream echoed throughout the building. Shoto realized that the scream belonged to his (H/C) wife. "Fuck..." He whispered. He started pulling against the ropes even rougher, but they wouldn't budge. Using the last of his energy, he used his flames to burn away the ropes. It worked and he hit the ground with a thud. He remained still for a few minutes, trying to insure no one would come and check on him. When the coast was clear, he snuck out of the room. He began wandering through the hallways and rooms, trying to find (Y/N). Another scream was heard, igniting a rage inside Shoto. "Please! Stop!" (Y/N)'s voice screamed. Shoto began to shake with anger as he began searching faster. He followed the sound of his wife's pleas and he eventually found the room where they were coming from. 'Considering there were two people who entered the room we were in, there will be at least two people inside. The fight will be two against one.' He thought before sighing quietly. Footsteps were approaching the door, meaning Shoto had to hide. He quickly ran into the room next door, which happened to be a storage room. While he waited for his surroundings to be safe, he began searching through the various boxes and containers. While searching, he found a box which contained his and (Y/N)'s stuff from when they were kidnapped. He looked through the box for his phone, and mentally cheered when he found it. He shuffled into the corner and quickly unlocked it. He began searching through his contacts for Midoryia and called him. "Hello?" Midoryia answered, his voice deep with exhaustion. "Midoryia, it's Todoroki." Shoto said, his voice quiet. "Todoroki? Why are you calling at... 2:23 in the morning? And why are you whispering?" Midoryia questioned. "About that, (Y/N) and I are in a bit of a situation." He answered. Midoryia suddenly jolted upwards, almost shouting in panic. "What happened?! Where are you?!" He asked, making Todoroki roll his eyes at his friend's panicked state. "We were out on a date night when we were attacked. We fought hard, but we both ended up unconscious. When we woke up, we were in this dark building. I have no clue what the address is." He explained, making Midoryia sigh. "I'll trace this call to get your address. Where's (Y/N) now?" He asked. "She was taken by two guys, they are in the room next to the one I'm in. I ducked in here when I heard footsteps approaching." "Alright, I've traced the call and got the address. I'll come get you guys with Kacchan and Kiri. Hang tight and don't be spotted." Midoryia explained before hanging up. Todoroki quickly put the phone back before thinking. 'I haven't heard her scream in a while. That could mean three different things: 1) They left the room, 2) She's unconscious, or 3) She's...dead'  He thought. "It better not be option three..." He whispered before sighing. He decided to take a risk and leave the room. He was now in front of the door he tried entering before. Before he did anything, he heard voices from down the hall. "Alright, have you identified the subjects?" The same tired voice from before asked. "Yes sir. The man is the No.2 Pro Hero: Shoto. The woman is the No.4 Pro Hero: (H/N)." The deep voice explained. "We got lucky, two pros. Once we extract some blood from (H/N), we shall begin the experiment." The tired voice declared. Shoto's eyes widened as he saw their shadows about to turn the corner. He quickly fled into the room that (Y/N) was in. "(Y/N)... are you okay?" He whispered, quickly walking over to her. "Shoto..." She whispered, looking up at him. She had a cut down her left side, along with cuts on her collarbone and arms. "Shit... I'm gonna get you out okay?" He asked. She nodded and Shoto burned away the ropes that were tying her down to the chair. He helped her up and she latched onto him. She cried into his chest as he stroked her hair, comforting her quietly. "I know this was traumatic, but we need to find somewhere to hide right now. We need to be brave." He explained. She nodded and pulled away from his hug. "While I was making my way here, I found our belongings. I called Midoryia and told him our situation. He's on the way with Bakugou and Kirishima." Shoto declared. (Y/N) nodded and smiled up at him. "You always think of everything, don't you?" She asked, making him smile.  Before the two could fully enjoy their small moment of peace, an alarm sounded. "We need to hide, now!" Shoto whisper-shouted. (Y/N) nodded. Shoto began to sprint off, (Y/N) not far behind. However, when she stepped forward, she fell. "Shoto!" She exclaimed as quietly as she could. Shoto was remarkably able to hear her throughout the noise and quickly ran over to her. He picked her up bridal style and left the room. He ran down the hall, trying to find somewhere to hide. He saw a supply closet and quickly ran in. He sat down in the closet, (Y/N) now sitting on his lap. She hid her face in the crook of his neck as the noise continued. He stroked her hair as they listened to the explosions, banging, and yelling. After what felt like an eternity, the couple heard a familiar voice. "This is Deku. Red Riot, Ground Zero and I have defeated the criminals. We are now searching for (H/N) and Shoto." Midoryia's voice echoed. (Y/N) sighed in relief as she lifted her head from her husband's neck. (Y/N) tried getting up from his lap, but fell back down. Her legs were too weak to move. All of a sudden, the closet door was swung open. In the doorway stood Kirishima. He smiled brightly before pulling out a walkie talkie. "This is Red Riot. I have located (H/N) and Shoto. (H/N) looks pretty badly injured, Shoto doesn't look too much better." He declared. "Where are you guys? I'll help you escort them out." Bakugou announced. "Fifth floor, left hallway." "On my way. Deku, get an ambulance over to our location." "On it!" Deku said. Kirishima shut off the walkie talkie. "Hey guys! Good thinking to call Deku, Todoroki!" Kirishima complimented. Shoto smiled softly. "Here (Y/N), let me help you up." He declared. He helped (Y/N) stand and steadied her. When he let go, she almost fell again, meaning Kirishima had to hold onto her. Bakugou came down the hall, and carried (Y/N) down to the ambulance. Kirishima helped Shoto stand and escorted him down to the ambulance as well. When he got there, he rushed over to his wife, who was now hooked up to a machine that was giving her blood. He sat beside her and held her. Midoryia, Bakugou, and Kirishima went to check up on them before leaving. "Are you guys going to be okay getting home?" Midoryia asked. "Yeah, we'll be okay." Shoto explained, making the other three men nod. "Midoryia, Bakugou, Kirishima, thank you from the bottom of my heart." (Y/N) said. "No problem. We're heroes, it's what we do!" Bakugou exclaimed. "Try to get some sleep after this guys, you really need the rest." Kirishima explained. (Y/N) smiled softly. "Thank you, get home safe." She said. The three Pro Heroes nodded before leaving the scene. Shoto held (Y/N) tighter, making her lean her head on his shoulder. The experience was traumatic, but as long as they were together, they could move past it.
