Flying… This must be how it feels like. My heart was beating so fast. I felt weightless, like gravity wasn’t even holding me down anymore. I was floating away. This was absolutely pure bliss.
Everything was moving in slow motion. Or maybe time stopped. I saw my life with Bryce, right from the first day I met him. The day we first got paired up in German, and our instant hate for each other. The day I broke in front of him, turning our hate into something that was completely different. Us bonding over soccer, treating each other like equals. Our fight, and how both our lives sucked without the other one in it.
Now I see our future. We get married. We have kids, who will play soccer like us. Then Bryce and I will grow old together. Our lives were meant to intertwine. Because, honestly, how could it not? I can’t even fathom, my life without Bryce. He is my everything.
From day one, I wanted him to be in my life…
I looked down at the ring, then to Bryce’s green eyes. “Yes.” I whispered.
Bryce visibly relaxed. “Yes?” he asked excitement, lased in his voice.
“Yes!” I said, tackling him with my hug. I planted a kiss on his lips, as tears of joy slid down my cheek.
Bryce took the ring from the small black box, and placed it my finger. He intertwined our fingers, and placed a soft kiss on my hand.
“I love you Summer.”
