We pull up to a beautiful, giant, modern house. Maddox pulls the car around the circular driveway, parking next to a white Range Rover. There are quite a few cars parked in front of the house and they are all nice, expensive cars.

I open the car door and step out, taking in the sheer size of the mansion. It's a slate grey color with black accents and huge windows. Very modern.

Maddox closes my car door behind me. He moves to stand in front of me, his face inches from mine. He puts his hands in his pockets and stands proudly, smiling down at me.

"So this is my house." He grins, motioning to the mansion behind him. My mouth drops open a bit, I am shocked.

"It's stunning," I say, unable to form any other words. He grins, his dimples on full show.

"Now don't freak out." He says, holding his hands out in front of him. My eyes widen.

"But we are here for my sister's birthday party." Maddox stares deeply into my eyes, his eyes soften in hopes that I will forgive him for taking me here. His smile has faded and a look of concern rushes over his face.

"Oh." I squeak out, unable to think of what else to reply. He places his hand on the small of my back, reassuring me to relax.

I sigh.

"Well, I guess that means I'm meeting your family," I say, shrugging happily. I smile, gazing into his green eyes. He returns the smile and grabs my hand.

"Come on, let's go in." He says, motioning his head towards the door. We walk hand-in-hand up to the gigantic front door and he opens it without knocking, as it is his house.

The door swings open to a gorgeous open floor plan. The house is perfectly decorated. I can see straight out to the ocean through the giant windows on the back wall of the house. There is music playing quietly through the speakers and I can hear the sound of people talking. The house is covered in beautiful flowers as party decor.

We take a few steps forward, now I can see just how many people are here. There are at least 15 people in the house and probably 30-40 people in the backyard. The guests are spread all throughout the house. They are dressed nicely, talking amongst themselves on couches, at tables or on the beach.

Someone spots Maddox and instantly jumps up from the couch in the living room, running to give him a hug.

She has long curly brown hair, just above her waist. She too has beautiful green eyes just like Maddox. She has the perfect, supermodel figure and is wearing a full length, light blue dress. She looks very beachy with her curly hair and long dress. Maddox smiles, lets go of my hand and holds his arms out for a hug. She jumps into his arms, squeezing him tightly.

"Thanks for coming little bro!" She says as he puts her down.

"I wouldn't miss my sister's birthday!" He jokes, messing with her hair. She tries to fix her hair when her eyes fall on me.

Maddox smiles and looks at me.

"Josie!" He says, looking at her.

"This is Cammie." A smile fills Josie's face as she reaches out to hug me too. I mutter happy birthday and she laughs.

We pull apart and she looks at me, tilting her head slightly.

"It's so amazing to meet you." She lets out a small giggle.

"I've heard quite a bit about you." She looks over at Maddox, referring to him. Her smile is beautiful, her teeth perfect and white.

I raise my eyebrow jokingly and look at Maddox.

"Oh, you have?" I say, nudging Maddox in his side. He lets out a small laugh as though he may not be as amused as we are. She laughs, looking back and forth between us.

She places a hand on my shoulder and starts to walk past me.

"Well have a fun time, I'll be checking back on you two in a little bit." She motions between the two of us and removes her hand from my shoulder. I watch as she walks away, going to talk to some other friends.

I look back at Maddox to see him looking around the room. Well, I know he has two sisters and one brother. And his parents of course. Who's next?  His eyes find me staring at him and he smiles.

Someone shouts his name and he looks up. Outside near the pool, there is a guy who looks just like him. It must be his brother. Maddox places his hand on my lower back and guides me out to talk to him.

He and Maddox exchange some sort of handshake and then hug each other, how cute. The guy lays eyes on me pushes his sunglasses down to the end of his nose. He is wearing navy blue business pants and a white button-up tee with stripes on it. He has brown wavy hair with brown eyes. He smiles, showing off a dimple on the right side of his face.

"Who do we have here?" He jokes, looking at Maddox and then to me.

Maddox chuckles and motions to me.

"Jax, this is Cammie." Jax smiles.

"Cammie, this is my brother Jax." Jax waves jokingly and holds his hand out to shake mine.

"Ah, Cammie!" He says filled with joy, shaking my hand up and down.

"Nice to finally meet you." He adds, looking at Maddox with a cheeky smirk. We talk for a little while and then Maddox's other sister joins our conversation.

She introduces herself to me while Maddox and his brother talk about some car they saw the other day. Her name is Sasha and she's stunning just like her sister. She's the youngest of them all. She has shoulder-length brown curly hair. She too has the gorgeous green eyes as her brother. Her face has some freckles on her nose which I find very cute. She's wearing a stunning burgundy cocktail dress that hugs her small hourglass figure.

The night goes on and Maddox and I chat away with his friends and siblings. The food is absolutely delicious with fancy appetizers, finger foods and tons of desserts everywhere. They have a free bar stocked with fun drinks that Josie loves.

I can't help but wonder where Maddox's parents are? I haven't spotted anyone much older than us so I'm having a hard time finding them.

After Maddox talks his way around the party and I listen to him talk with his friends, we decide to sit down on an outdoor couch and look out at the ocean. He places his arm around me and I rest my head on his shoulder. We stare at the waves crashing and my thoughts can't stop.

I lift my head up and he looks down at me.

"Maddox," I say, looking into his eyes.

"Where are your parents?" I ask. He shifts in his seat, sitting upright. I place my legs over his lap and he rests his hands on my knees, pulling them close to his chest. I lean the side of my head on the back of the couch.

He sighs.

"I don't know, Greece maybe?" I can hear a tinge of disappointment in his voice. He lowers his head down and looks out to the ocean. He sighs again.

"They travel a lot so I'm not surprised they aren't here." I place my hands over his and he turns to look into my eyes.

I let out a small smile and chew on my lips slightly, trying to figure out what to say.

"Well, that's their loss," I say, shrugging. I see the corners of his mouth curl up slightly but he pushes them back down. He gently rubs his fingers against mine.

"Besides, I'm here," I say, hoping to get something out of him.

Instead of saying anything, Maddox places his hand on the side of my face and leans forward to kiss me. It's a soft gentle kiss but filled with passion. I lean forward this time, rather than pulling away, I don't want to lose the taste of his lips. He places his arms around my waist, pulling me closer to him. I shift my bottom into his lap, craning my neck up to deepen the kiss. After a few more moments, we hear glass clinking behind us. We both pull away, staring at each other.

Maddox turns his head to look and I peer to the side. Up near the house, Jax is clinking a glass, ready to give a speech.

We laugh and I lift myself up off of Maddox. We both stand up and brush ourselves off, adjusting our clothes and hair. Maddox grabs my hand and leads me up a few stairs so we have a better view of his brother standing next to Josie, just inside the kitchen.

He lifts our intertwined fingers up to his mouth and places a kiss on my hand. My heart melts.
