Chapter 8
Alison
"You know you can't hide in here forever right?" Blaire points put as she leans on my doorframe.
I sit up straight and lean my back on my bedframe. "I'm not hiding." I mumble a lie.
She snorts. "Yeah right. You're trying to tell me that staying in your room for two days in a row isn't hiding?" When she see my widened eyes, she continues. "Yes, Liz told me about it."
I sigh. After Leo mentioned that we must start off by kissing, I went ballistic. A normal person would have just said no or went along with it but not me. I chose to sprint right out of the cottage and into the forest. Yes I did go lost, and yes it took an hour and a half for him to find me.
I don't know why I reacted like that but I think it has something to do with the fact that I've never kissed before... Don't ask why.
"Do you mind telling me about it?" Blaire asks with a worried look on her face.
I bite the inside of my cheek. It would be good to get it out of my chest. "Everything is just moving too fast. A few weeks ago I thought that by this I would be preparing for college, but instead I am here preparing for interviews and parties."
My life really has changed.
There is a few seconds of silence before she talks. "I know this is a lot to take in, but give it time. Maybe if you'd start looking at it from a different light, a positive one, things would go great. If you need help in juggling things, I'll be right here."
Blaire squeezes my hand giving me a reassuring smile. I nod at that. Lord knows that I'll need all the help in the world to make sure that this works out.
"Why are you here by the way?" I ask her trying to avert the conversation.
She flashes me a large grin. "Because, you, my dear friend, have an interview to prepare for."

"What now?" The words stumble out of my mouth.
Blaire rolls her eyes in annoyance since I've been asking that question for every answer she told me. After telling me that I have an interview to prepare for, my brain did a small shut down. I thought I had more time but I guess not.
Now Blaire is trying to tell me something that I still don't understand.
She sighs. "You and Leo have to act like a couple, a loving couple in front of people."
My eyes widen. I can barely stand him being a few feet away from me or in the same room as mine, now just imagine me holding hands with him and doing all sorts.
"And when exactly is this interview?" I ask her.
She stands up from my bed and walks to my doorframe. "Tomorrow." She calls out.
"Where are you going now?"
She looks at me from her shoulder and smirks. "Getting food. We're going to be here for a long period of time."

Munching on the packet of chips in my hand, I look at Blaire who's now wearing a pair of square glasses and holding a long stick like she's a teacher. She has been writing everything she knows about Leo including what he usually wears, where he eats and stuff like that.
No, she's not a stalker, I hope.
"So, time for a test," she flips the board around so that I cannot see everything she wrote. "What's Leo's middle name?"
"Alexander."
"Favourite and loyal client?"
"McLayn."
"Favourite restaurant?"
"All Mancave."
"Where did you guys meet?"
"Here in New York when we bumped into each other next to All Mancave." I answer.
"What if they ask you when you got together or when he proposed?" She asks with an arched brow.
I shrug. "No comments."
She claps her hands. "That's all for today, the rest will he handled by Leo okay?"
I nod.
"I'll be back in a few minutes okay?" She says that and disappears into my closet before coming back out holding a big long dress and a white bag.
I stand up from my bed and let her set the items on my bed. "What's that?" I ask pointing at them.
"This is a dress you'll be wearing and the make-up kit to prep yourself up." She smiles.
I nods. "I guess that's reasonable." I just hope the interview goes smoothly.
