Peter walked into his apartment after school and threw his backpack on the floor. He smiled at May in the kitchen, reading a book. He smiled at the daisies on the windowsill. He smiled at the messy coffee table. He smiled at the old and mushy couch. He smiled at the shelf full of old movie dvds. He smiled at the homework he had left lazily across the kitchen table. He smiled at the pancakes on the chipped plate in front of him. He smiled at the small details around the apartment. But then, May faded away and the book wasn't here. The daisies were gone. The table was broken in half, blood staining the wood. The couch was ripped to shreds. The plates were smashed and there were no pancakes. Peter's smiled fell. He should've known. It was Bex. Again. Just like it had been when he saw Tony tell him he love him. Because Tony never loved him. And Tony is dead.
