Saturday, September twenty second.
12:20 pm.
You watch jays car drive away. You pull out your phone and text jack to pick you up.
ten minutes later you see jacks car pull up. You get into the passenger and put on your seatbelt.
"Tell me how it went". Jack says driving off to go to your house.
"He was trying to tell me what to do and stuff, he tried holding my hand and he told me that we were going in as a couple not friends but the thing is I'm not even his friend"! You rant.
"Go on".
"I tried eating as fast I could to get out of the date but jay told me if I finished early then he would continue the things he was doing. He had a little rant too about taking me on the date saying he doesn't know why he did this. Saying I don't even like him back and saying I am a b***h anyways". You say.
"You aren't a b***h and I don't know what he's doing. He's the crazy ex you could say". Jack says.
"The definition of a crazy ex". You correct.
Jack pulls into your driveway. You both get out and walk up to your room.
You go through your drawer to pick a swimsuit out.
You put in an oversized sweatshirt over the suit for a coverup.
You put your hair in a messy bun and you go to your vanity and take off your makeup you had on.
Jack was laying in your bed watching you take off your makeup.
"We aren't going to the public pool". Jack says.
"Where are we going"?
"To my house". Jack says.
You look behind you and see jack smiling.
"Do I get to meet Isla"? You say excitedly.
"No, they all went to Minnesota for valley fair and mall of America or something like that. They will be gone for the week". Jack says.
"That's cool. I've been to Minnesota once when I was a baby". You say.
Jack laughs.
"You probably don't remember it do you"?
"Nope". You smile.
Jack laughs.
"All I know is Jonah was born in Stillwater". You shrug.
"Yeah". Jack says.
Then jack gets up and off of the bed and walks towards you. He picks you up like he always did and like you always did you complained.
"Why do you do this to me"! You laughs.
"Because your very light and it's fun". Jack says.
Then you feel jack drop you and your back hits the bed.
"Bully". You stare at jack and sit up.
"Let's play twenty questions for both of us". Jack suggests.
"Okay".
"First question, what's your favorite color"? Jack asks with a smirk.
"Poor question but red". You say.
"Cool, question two. Chocolate or vanilla"?
"Another poor question! Vanilla. Since your questions are poor let me ask you a few". You say.
Jack sighs.
"Favorite sport"? You ask.
"Basketball all the way". Jack says.

You laugh.
"Okay then. A hobby you enjoy"?
"Skateboarding". Jack answers quickly.
"Umm... different but okay. Who's your favorite sibling"? You ask with a sly smile.
"That's hard. Umm... probably going to go with... Isla because we hang out the most out of everyone". Jack shrugs.
-skip to jacks house-
7:45 pm.
You both get out of the car and you take a second to admire the two story home.
"Nice house Avery". You nod.
"Thanks". Jack says going up to the door to his house.
You soon follow after jack and walk inside to admire the open area in the house.
"Very nice". You mumble.
Jack just laughs and you hear his laugh carry into an echo.
You then all of a sudden hop on jacks back.
"What are you doing"? Jack laughs.
"You can still give me a tour while I'm on your back right"? You ask.
The house was really nice throughout the tour. Then you both head out to the backyard.
Jack starts to go inside.
"What are you doing"? You ask confused.
"I need to change into my swim trunks. Can you stand being alone from me for a little"? Jack asks with a small smile.
You nod your head. You take off your sweatshirt and put it on one of the chairs outside. You sit on the chair waiting for jack and he soon came out with towels.
You get off of the chair and stand up. Jack just stairs at your swim suit.
"What? Is there something on it"? You ask looking down.
"No". Jack laughs.
"It's a really really nice swimsuit". Jack says with a smile.
Oh". You say softly while blushing.
Jack then goes down the steps of the pool to the shallow.
"Is it cold"? You ask.
"No, it's a heated pool". Jack answers.
"Oooh. Fancy". You smile.
You walk to the edge of the pool.
"You coming in"? Jack asks you.
"Yeah". You say as you put your feet in and slide yourself in.
"This doesn't look like chlorine water to me". You say looking at the water.
"It's salt water".
"Like ocean water"?
"Yeah, I guess". Jack shrugs.
Then jack comes up to you and splashes you as he laughs.
"Avery"! You yell.
"Uh oh". Jack says.
You splash jack back with water. Soon you were making waves of water splashing each other. You both laughed and screamed.
"Will you guys shut up"! You both hear someone yell.
You booth look to the house and see a girl with her window open in jacks house.
"I thought no one was here". You tell jack.
"Oh, it's Ava. I guess she stayed home to go to school too". Jack says getting out of the water.
"And now we leave". You whisper.
"No no, we aren't leaving I was going to go talk to Ava upstairs. You stay here". Jack says.
You nod your head and watch as jack goes inside and Ava's window shuts.
You sigh with boredom.
You get out of the pool and sit down at your chair. You go through your social media and post a picture on your story on Snapchat of the pool.
Minutes go by and finally jack comes outside.
"Sorry. I had to talk to her about something". Jack says shutting the door.
"Maybe I should go". You say.
"No. You can stay. I want you to stay". Jack says with a frown.
"But that talk with your sister must have been about me". You say.
"It was but it was good things not bad things, I really really want you to stay". Jack says.
"You sure"?
"Yes. Por favor". Jack says.
You raise an eyebrow.
"C'mon. Everyone know that means please". Jack smiles.
"Whatever". You say.
Then jack picks you up bridal style.
"Jack no! Your going to throw me in"! You panic.
"Your already wet chill". Jack laughs backing up.
"No"! You scream as jack starts running towards the water.
Then you both splash into the water.
"Jack"! You yell as you get out from under the water.
You hear jack laughing.
You hear your phone buzz and you ignore it.
You hop on jacks back in the water and he drags you around.
"It feels weird that I'm seeing my height from a different perspective". You say.
"What"? Jack says confused.
"Like, your as tall as I am. I'm seeing my height from a guys perspective". You shrug.
"Are you making up more lines about me being short"? Jack asks as he drop you in the water.
"Ahhh"! You scream.
Your head rises out of the water and you splash jack.
"Hey"! Jack complains.
You cross your arms and make your lip pout.
"Aww. Did I make my princess mad"? Jack asks with a smile.
You feel your cheeks go red.
"Stop". You laugh.
"What? Calling you princess. Oh no. Cannot do. You will always be my princess". Jack says.
"Wow". You raise your eyebrows.
"It's true". Jack shrugs.
You laugh.
-skip to 11:00 pm-
Jack walks outside while you were waiting in the pool. Jack opens the package of neon glow sticks.
"Maybe I should go. It's pretty late". You say.
"I will bring you home later". Jack smiles.
"Jack I don't know. My mom said to be careful of how late I stay". You say.
"Meaning"?
"Meaning that I need to make a good decision on when to come home. I can't come home in like three days without a text or anything". You explain.
"So... I think you should sleepover". Jack says opening another package of glow sticks.
"Jack... no". You shake your head side to side.
"Please ray". Jack frowns.
"We will see how things go". You say.
"Fine". Jack sighs.
Then jack throws in five packages of glow sticks into the water.
"That isn't much". Jack sighs.
You laugh.
"That's all we have though". Jack says slipping into the pool.
You go underwater and just sit at the bottom for a little then you pop back up.
"Is that supposed to impress me"? Jack asks with a smile.
"No". You laugh.
Jack just nods with a slight awkward laugh. You look at him with a weird face.
"Are you okay"?
"Yeah. I'm totally fine". Jack assures.
"Jack"?
"I'm fine". Jack laughs.
"Okayyy...". You say confused. What was going on.
-skip to 12:45 am-
You get out of the water and walk to your chair and grab your towel.
"What are you doing"? Jack asks getting out as well.
"I need to go". You say.
"What do you mean"? Jack asks.
"Jack, I need to get home". You say.
"But I want you to stay". Jack frowns.
"I know you do jack but I need to go. You can come to my house tomorrow. Maybe we can go hangout with the group". You suggest as you dry your hair.
Jack sighs.
"Fine. Let me go get a shirt to put on quick". Jack says going inside.
You check your phone.

You sit and watch your phone. She was probably asleep by now.
You see jack come back outside putting in a shirt.
You grab your sweatshirt and put it on quickly and you both walk to the car.
Jack pulls out of the driveway.
"Ray does anyone tell you bad things about yourself"? Jack asks.
"No.... why"?
"Because I want you to know that you are really pretty. Like your beautiful". Jack says. You see as jacks cheeks get red.
"Thanks Avery". You smile.
"And I'm all honesty your the most beautiful person I've encountered". Jack says.
You laugh.
"Like your more beautiful than Zendaya and let me tell you... she's hot". Jack says with a little enthusiasm.
"Okay". You laugh.
Jack looks at your for a moment and smiles at you.
"Thanks jack". You try to hold in a laugh.
Then jack pulls up to your driveway.
"Maybe I can sleepover here". Jack says.
"No jack". You say.
"Or stay here for a little while as we take a nap"?
"No jack".
"How about let's just talk for a little".
"Jack". You playfully roll your eyes.
"Ugh". Jack complains.
As you shut the door and walk up to your front door you hear jacks voice and you turn around.
Jacks window was rolled down.
"I love you ray". Jack smiles.
"Oh. As a friend by the way". Jack says before pulling out of the driveway.
You laugh a little then you let yourself into the house.
