The next day both Peter and Alyse caught the bus to their new school. As they got off the bus together, they stared at the building in front of them, in both nervousness and awe. Alyse turned to look at Peter in concern. "Peter I'm really nervous about this. Is it a mistake letting Lynda sign me back up for Hemlock Grove high school?"
Peter pulled Alyse into a side hug. "Don't think like that. Lynda already thought about the issue at hand. That's why she didn't sign you up as Alyse Stormnight. You're registered as Alyse Rumancek. Our cover story is that you and I both got married, seeing as we're Gypsies and you took my last name making you a Rumancek, that will keep people from talking too much about you. Hopefully it will do damage control for whatever that Christina girl said about you."
"Let's make our way to our first class before we're late," Alyse said while cuddling close to Peter as they made their way up the stairs of the school.
Roman was leaning the wall having cigarette, when the two new students caught his attention. Roman couldn't help but to stare at both of them, though his gaze lingered on the girl a little longer than it did the boy. Rumor had been going around the school about the boy and girl, people are saying that the new guy is rumored to be a werewolf; while the girl was said to be my fiancee who disappeared from Hemlock Grove, shortly after finding out about our arranged marriage. I remember that day clearly. The day Alyse disappeared, Olivia was planning on announcing to the rest of Hemlock Grove of our engagement in the newspaper. So help me if what people are saying is true and my precious fiance is back, I'll be sure to keep her from ever leaving my side again," Roman thought to himself.
Alyse and Peter made it into the school heading to their lockers, which had a couple other lockers in between them.
"We managed to make it to our lockers with no problem," Peter said trying to lighten the mood.
Alyse rolled her eyes. "Yes, but it was too close of a call. The guy sitting on the wall. That was Roman Godfrey. He kept staring at us as we were walking by him. I know that I recognize him, he's bound to recognize me. Once he does, it won't end well at all. He's going to isolate me from everyone if he finds out that I've returned. Oh god he's going to try and get me pregnant again. Only this time he will constantly be around, watching me like a hawk, so I don't have another miscarriage, like I did the last time."
Peter pulled Alyse into a tight and comforting hug before whispering in her ear. "Hey listen to me. The only reason why you had a miscarriage in the first place was, because you were stressed out. You were having a horrible nightmare, which in turn made you lose your appetite. Besides you didn't know at the time that you were expecting a little one with the douche bag, who hurt you in the worst way possible."
The day progressed on with Peter and Alyse trying to find their classrooms. They had a majority of classes together and only two separate classes away from each other. Peter was walking the hallway trying to make his way to his class, when he heard a noise which distracted him from his search. What the hell? It sounds like it's coming from the girls bathroom. Oh my god please don't tell me that someone is actually having sex in the girls bathroom in the school right now. Wait until I tell Alyse about this later. Though I already know she will tell me to grow up, but this is something that can not go unnoticed, Peter thought as he got closer to the bathroom door, listening to the moans of a girl that were coming from the other side. Little did Peter know that while he was listening, another student was also walking the halls, staring at him in pure disgust that he was actually standing outside of the bathroom listening to whoever was in there do their thing.
The person cleared their throat causing Peter to jump and turn around to find a blonde pregnant girl standing there looking at him in disgust. Peter looked her up and down. Wonder who got this bitch knocked up? Wouldn't surprise me if it was some spoiled jock who needed a quick fuck, Peter thought before his gaze landed on the girls face. She glared at him before scoffing at him checking her out.
"Um, it's exactly what you see," Peter said causing the girl to roll her eyes while shaking her head before she walked away from him. Wow what a bitch, Peter thought to himself before walking away from the girls bathroom.
Letha was sitting on the wall, eating her lunch and watching other students walk around the schoolyard talking amongst each other. Letha turned her head and spotted the weird boy who was standing outside of the girls bathroom, listening to what was going on in there, only this time she noticed that he wasn't walking alone. Letha took a closer look at the girl's face and recognized her instantly. No...There is no way that Alyse would make her way back to Hemlock Grove. Not after what she told me that Roman did to her. Even if that was her, she would go for a creep like him. Besides if she did come back to Hemlock Grove, there is no doubt in my mind that Roman would have found out the day that she set foot back. He would have went to see her and bring her back to his house to show aunt Olivia, Letha thought to herself unaware that Roman was standing next to her calling her name. Letha didn't notice that Roman was there until he started waving his hand in front of he face, causing Letha to snap out of her thoughts. "Huh," Letha asked while looking around before noticing Roman standing there. "Oh Roman. I didn't see you standing there."
"Clearly. What was so interesting that you spaced out for like ten minutes," Roman asked.
"It's nothing. I just saw the creep of a boy who was standing outside of the girls bathroom. He had the nerve to try and check me out while smiling knowing he was caught outside of the girls bathroom. I just saw him walking by and found out that the creep has a girlfriend. Can you believe that he checked me out while he was dating another girl," Letha asked.
Roman looked over and saw the back of Peter who had his arm wrapped around the girl he's walking with. "It sure would be ashame for the innocent girlfriend to learn that her precious boyfriend has a wandering eye. I usually have a way of breaking bad news to people. When I can manage to get the new girl alone so I can tell her about what her boyfriend did. Then all I have to do is wait patiently for when she's ready to thank me in her own way."
"Having sex with her is not right Roman. Don't you think it would be bad to take advantage of the poor girl after she had gotten her heart broken by the love of her life," Letha asked.
"Grow up Letha. Life isn't a fairytale. People are bound to get hurt. All I'm saying is when that poor girl gets hurt, I'll be there to help make her feel better and forget all about her scumbag of a boyfriend," Roman said.
"Whatever you say Roman. I just hope for your sake that it doesn't come back and bite you in the butt later on," Letha said before getting up and walking away from Roman.
Peter and Alyse were standing outside of their lockers, talking about how their first day was, and what had happened throughout the day. Peter had told Alyse about what he had heard coming from the girls bathroom earlier. Alyse's reaction to what he told her was exactly what he knew would happen, except for the light smack on the chest.
"Peter you shouldn't be listening to other people have sex in the bathroom. How would you feel if someone were to stand outside your bedroom door and listen to us going at it," Alyse asked.
Peter shrugged his shoulders at that. "I honestly wouldn't care. If they want to listen to us go at it, then let them. Heck if they wanted to take notes while we're going at it more power to them as well. I don't care. Only way I would care is if they were to barge in the room and look at you. No other can see your body. It's for my eyes only."
"You have nothing to worry about. No other will take me away from you," Alyse said.
Shortly after Peter heard loud footsteps thudding in the hallway. Peter glanced in the direction of the footsteps and found a really tall girl walking down the hall. As she was passing the twins, they made fun of her, only to quickly stop at the sight of the boy who was staring at them, from outside. "Oh shit. It's the guy again. Come on. Let's get to class."
Both Peter and Alyse rushed to class in hopes that Roman didn't catch sight of Alyse. For the first day of school, Peter managed to keep Alyse hidden away from Roman with a couple of close encounters.
"Geez it was hard trying to keep you hidden from that guy. Does he have a tracker on you or something," Peter joked.
Alyse glared at Peter. "Not funny. Though it did help that people crowded the halls mourning for the loss of Brooke Bluebell."
"Before you left Hemlock Grove, were you close with that Brooke Bluebell girl," Peter asked as he and Alyse made their way back to the trailer.
"Not really. I've heard about her, just like she's heard about me. When in passing we would say hi and go about our business. I had no reason to really interact with her. Even if I wanted to, I wasn't allowed to. You need to remember Peter, I was on a bit of a tight leash," Alyse replied.
"Are you going to the memorial that is being held at the school for Brooke Bluebell," Peter asked. Alyse shook her head no. "I don't want to risk getting caught. Not to mention with that Crazy Christina Wendell girl running around making accusations about you being a werewolf, and me being the missing girl that belongs to Roman Godfrey. That is bound to draw a lot of attention to us. Oh and lets not forget the twin sworn sluts, who believe everything their friend say. It's bound to happen that one of those bimbos will run their trap with Roman close by and he hears what they are saying."
"Well beautiful, the guy is bound to find out that you're back at some point. We do go to the same school as him. You can't hide from him forever," Peter said.
"I could at least try," Alyse said.
Peter shook his head before making his way to the front door. "You can try, but know this you won't succeed."
"Where are you going," Alyse asked a bit worried she upset Peter.
"Out for a walk. Do you want to come with," Peter asked.
"After almost getting caught today, I'm going to have to kindly decline. Maybe next time. But tonight I'm going to stay behind and spend time with Lynda," Alyse said.
"Make sure she stays out of trouble Lynda," Peter said.
"She always stays out of trouble. It's you who finds trouble, and Alyse is always there managing to save you from it as well," Lynda replied before Peter walked out the door.
Alyse turned to look at Lynda with a worried look on her face. "Do you think that Peter will be okay out there on his own?"
"Don't worry dear. Peter will be fine. Tell you what, why don't you help me cook dinner. If Peter doesn't return for dinner, then you can head out and find him. Make sure drag him all the way home," Lynda said causing Alyse to laugh a bit.
"You know I will be the one to drag Peter all the way back here to," Alyse answered.
"I know you would. That is why I said you would do it. Because I know you'll do it. That and Peter doesn't mind when you pull him back home," Lynda replied as she and Alyse worked on cooking dinner together. Peter I hope you know what you're doing. Going out to the crime scene where Brooke was killed is pretty risky, especially for us. Please for our sake don't draw too much attention to yourself, Alyse thought while cutting up vegetables.
