Patton POV
"I'll see you guys at lunch!" I told Emile and Remy. They waved to me as I skipped away from them. I headed from the hallway, looking for a certain someone.
My eyes landed on him and I couldn't help but smile. Logan was standing at his locker shuffling through one of his binders. I skipped over to him and stood behind him.
"Prepare for embrace!" I said, getting Logan's attention. He turned right as I pulled him into a tight hug. He stiffened up but didn't move to get out of my arms. I let go of him.
"Hi Logan!" I said happily. I smiled brightly at him and moved to lean against the locker next his. "Whatcha doin'?"
"I am retrieving my books for my next class." Logan answered. I pushed past Logan and looked inside his locker.
"Is Squiggles in here?" I asked, standing on my tiptoes to look on the top shelf. My eyes landed on the box Logan and I had designed for Squiggles.
"Yes, Squiggles is up there." Logan answered, laughing gently. His locker was super neat and mostly empty, completely unlike mine.
I turned and gave Logan and quick hug, causing him to tense up slightly.
"Sorry." I laughed, pulling away from him.
"It's fine Patton." Logan said with a gentle laugh.
"What class do you have next?" I asked.
"English." He answered.
"Oh, I have math." I said with a sigh. "I hate math."
"Why do you have negative feelings towards math?" Asked Logan.
"I suck at math." I told him. "I really struggle in that class."
"Maybe I can tutor you?" Suggested Logan. I smiled hopefully at him.
"Can you? Oh my goodness that would be amazing!" I squealed. "Thank you so much Logie!"
"Logie?" Asked Logan with a smile. I blushed heavily, just now realizing I said that out loud.
"Is...that okay? It's a...nickname for you." I mumbled, feeling embarrassed.
"It's adequate." Logan said with a gentle smile. I brightened up instantly and smiled back at him.
"Walk me to class?" I asked, knowing that we were headed the same way and the classroom I needed to go to was first. Logan faintly blushed.
"Of course." Logan said, reaching past me to shut his locker. I smiled brightly and followed Logan down the hallway.
Disappointment filled me when we reached my classroom. I turned back to Logan and gave him another hug.
"See ya around!" I told him while heading into class.

"I invited Virgil to come sit with us at lunch." I told Remy and Emile excitedly.
"Who?" Asked Remy, putting his feet up on the cafeteria table.
"The quiet emo guy." I answered.
"Oh!" Said Remy loudly. "That's one of the guys that got their locker spray painted!"
"Yeah." I answered. "He ran into me in the bathroom while having a panic attack. I helped him and than invited him to sit with us."
"He was accused of being gay, so wouldn't sitting with us just make those rumors worse?" Asked Emile with a concerned look on his face.
"Well he told me he's gay, so the rumors aren't wrong." I admitted. Remy gasped.
"Holy shit, never would've guessed that." He said, taking a long sip from his Starbucks. "The tea has been spilled today."
"Language." I reminded him sternly. He held his hands up in surrender. "So what did you two do while I was with Logan on Saturday?" I asked, already knowing what happened because Emile told me everything excitedly over the phone while I was still with Logan.
"This." Answered Remy before wrapping an arm around Emile and pulled him into a kiss. Emile blushed and I smiled brightly.
"I already knew that!" I said giddily. "But I wanted to hear it from remy!"
"This is my bean, no one hurts my bean." Remy said, pulling Emile closer to him.
"Oh there he is!" I yelled, standing up quickly. Emile and Remy followed my gaze to Virgil. I quickly headed over to Virgil's table. He was sitting by himself and didn't seem to have a lunch with him.
"Hey Virgil!" I said excitedly. He looked up at me and pulled his headphones off. "Come sit with us!"
"Why?" He asked. His voice was very soft. My smile faded a bit. I really wanted him to sit with us.
"Please." I begged, giving him puppy dog eyes. He rolled his eyes but stood up sighing.
"Fine." He mumbled. I turned and skipped back happily to the others.
"Guys this is Virgil!" I told everyone again. They looked up at Virgil. Remy pulled his sunglasses down his nose a bit to get a better look at Virgil. I noticed Virgil seemed to be shrinking into himself.
"Sup gurl, names Remy." Remy told him while smirking.
"Do you how do? I'm Emile." Said Emile with a big smile. I sat down at the table and motioned for Virgil to sit next to me. He sat down but looked super uncomfortable to be here.
"You're the guy that got his locker spray painted right?" Asked Emile. I shot Emile a look when Virgil stiffened.
"And you said he's gay right?" Added Remy. I shot Remy a look too as Virgil looked over at me, fear written across his face.
"Sorry." I mumbled. He probably doesn't want to be friends now.
"We're all gay in some aspect so it doesn't matter." Emile said comfortingly. Virgil seemed to relax a little.
"Okay, why are you three being nice to me all the sudden?" He asked. "Especially after what happened today?"
"Well...we've been afraid of what Jackson might do if we helped before." I explained. "But this morning when you were having a panic attack, I decided we were going to be your friend no matter what."
"Thanks." He said quietly.
"Salutations everyone." Said Logan's voice from behind me. My heart jumped a bit and I felt myself blush. I turned and smiled brightly when I saw Logan. "Remy invited me to sit with you today, but I see you three already have another guest." He added.
"Nice to see you too Logan." Virgil said disdainfully. Logan looked over a Virgil quickly with a sad look in his eyes.
"No, sit down." Said Remy, obviously not catching the tension between Logan and Virgil. Logan sat down next to me, making my heart jump again.
"We're all gonna be best friends now!" I told them cheerfully, trying to change the subject. "Please." I added, looking back and forth between Logan and Virgil.
"I don't see why not." Answered Logan. "It would be a nice change in pace to join your group of friends." I smiled brightly and turned to look at Virgil expectingly.
"Virgil?" I asked hopefully. He sighed again.
"Sure, not like I had any friends before this anyways." He grumbled. I squealed and gave him a tight hug. He tensed up instantly so I let go quickly.
"Oops Sorry." I apologized with an awkward laugh. I turned and gave Logan another hug. He didn't struggle against the hug like Virgil did. I smiled brightly and let him go.
"Um...excuse me." Said a voice from behind me. We all turned, seeing Roman standing there awkwardly. "Virgil I need to talk to you."
Virgil seemed to go even paler than he already was. Roman didn't wait for an answer, instead he turned and started walking away.
Virgil looked like he was shaking. He didn't say anything, he just got up and followed Roman out of the cafeteria.
"Should we be worried?" Asked Emile.
"Probably not." Answered Remy. "I've hung out with Roman before, I think he has a weak spot for that emo."
"Oooo..." Emile and I said at the same time. Could the most popular person in our school have a crush on Virgil?
