I had woken up the next day and looked over at luke . He looked dead, but I knew he wasn't.
I just hoped that the time would come where I could tell him the truth. I always felt like I was betraying him, every second of the day.
It hurt me. But I shouldn't think selfishly because it was probably hurting him more knowing that he didn't know everything.
Either he didn't believe what happened was a dream at all, or he was starting to suspect it.
I was Downstairs making myself breakfast when I saw a very tired and dizzy luke step into the kitchen.
"Luke you're still fragile, get back into bed babe."
"I wanted to see you. I'm fine, really." He said and then proved himself wrong when he began to fall face forward. I caught him before he did .
"Come on," I said and carried him upstairs, placing him back into bed and tucking him in like a mother.
"Mike I want to come downstairs and be with you," he said sadly as I sat above him
"Then I'll stay here with you." I smiled and kissed his cheek, sliding into bed next to him and letting him cuddle up to me.
"Thanks," he mumbled into my shirt and I just brushed my fingers through his hair until he fell asleep.
I didn't even get to finish my breakfast.
