I walked back depressed..
" why...why her.."
I tensed up and growled.
She Has kids that look up to her at home!
I let a few tears out. I looked at my hands shocked.
Huh..why am I crying..
I quickly wiped them Away.
I walked to a down hill part and saw blood.
I put my guard up and walked out.
My eyes widen and I yelled.
"Hyakkimaru!"
the priest was there with a leg less hyakkimaru.
The priest looked up at me.
" perfect, timing help me out.."
I held hyakkimarus other side and said.
" is he ok what happened!!"
I looked down at his leg and almost puked.
All that was left was his bone that was sticking out.
The priest said.
" he shouldn't have fought with that injury...the demon Got it."
I growled and we walked forward.
" this is your fault if you haven't told him about the demon in the first place then he'd be fine!"
The priest shook his head and continued walking forward.
I heard hyakkimaru make sounds of pain..
I looked at him and said.
" his voice.."
The priest nodded and said.
" yes he lost his leg but got his voice back.."
I looked and listened..it's such a unique voice..I wish I heard it in a different situation tho.
We made it back and I sat there.
they stripped hyakkimaru down and I turned around to let the boys take care of him..
I blushed shaking the thoughts out of my head..
It's indecent for a lady to gaze unto him like that..
Specially when he doesn't know it...
But then I heard mio come in.
I turned around and she instantly went to hyakkimaru.
She grabbed a cloth and washed him.
I blushed out of anger and jealousy.
I stood up and the priest watched.
I ran out making dororo say.
" hey! Sis. Where are you going?! Bro would want you to stay close!"
I may have ran to far from them but I just needed a moment..
Or hours..
Days..
I sighed...
Mio is my friend! I just need to get this crazy jealousy under control..
I walked out of the woods and saw a huge open land.
Oh man..I went too far...
I groaned.
I heard someone yell and I looked up.
" huh?"
Who's that..three people on horses..
They started coming my way!
I panicked and looked around.
Oh shit is this Private property?!
They came closer and I gasped.
Hey it's that owl boy that visited my village..
The guy stopped and looked at me shocked.
The other two I recognized also.
They visited with him as well. I was young when they visited.. but I had fun with them. We played house a lot. Like he would Say I was his fiancé and we played in the woods.
But that was years ago I bet he doesn't even remember me..
He got off his horse and ran at me. He hugged me tight.
I tensed up and he said.
" (y/n)..."
Oh he does remember me..
I laughed and hugged back.
" what chances is this! I'm happy to see you again tahomaru."
The other two got down and walked over. I waved at them still being hugged by tahomaru and they smiled and said.
" nice to see you again my lady.."
Mutsu said with a kind smile.
" yes I'm very glad you're well..tahomaru been awfully worried since we heard about your village.."
Hyogo said.
I patted tahomarus back and said.
" aw thanks..I'm glad I took my stress walk."
Tahomaru pulled away and said.
" I'm glad I took my stress ride."
We laughed and got caught up.
We sat on the ground and I told them about my daring adventures but I didn't bring up hyakkimaru.. just talking about him makes me stutter and I didn't want to sound like an idiot.
I found it weird that they kept calling me "lady" like we did when we played house.
I looked up and saw it was getting dark and now with the help of tahomaru I wasn't feeling any jealousy or anger just happy again.
" well...I got to get going..my people I'm traveling with leaves at weird times and I don't want to be left behind.."
Tahomaru frowned and grabbed my arm
" come with me then...I won't lose you again.."
He looked at me with scared eyes.. I smiled down at him and hugged him.
I gave everyone a hug making hyogo blush but the glare tahomaru gave him made the blush quickly fade.
" don't worry..I'll introduce you guys to them sometime. We'll meet again... trust me.."
I walked to the woods and I heard tahomaru say with a smile on his horse.
" well I sure hope so..the wedding last time had to be Put on hold..I'll see you soon my love.."
Then he ran off hyogo and mutsu waved and left.
I stood There shocked..
" wedding..."
Then it hit me..when he "fake" purposed to me he acted too happy.
I shook my head and ran into the woods to hyakkimaru.
" no! I'm too young to get married!!"
I made it back and saw mio leaving.
I stopped and she looked at me at the bottom of the steps.
" oh (y/n).. hyakkimaru woke up..and the first thing he did is attempted to stand...and wouldn't stop..dororo said its because you left.."
She laughed and looked sad.
She's going to work..
" I know what your doing...I hate what your job is...I hate you have to do this...you're my friend..mio."
I walked up to her and she looked shocked.
I hugged her and said.
" but I know this is the way we girls can get money fast...specially from the Samurai. I just wish you stay safe. "
I pulled away and she looked at me sad.
I patted her shoulder and walked up the stairs..
And she said.
" thank you (y/n).. you're a kind friend.."
I smiled and said.
" I'll admit to you mio..I Been jealous..you're extremely beautiful and hyakkimaru seems to like you..a lot..but I actually grown to like you a lot..and realized you're my friend..so as my friend I'll promise to keep you safe...as long as I can.."
She Smiled and laughed walking away..
" don't be jealous. When you left to get herbs we asked hyakkimaru some questions..
Of course he didn't answer with words but we asked if he likes you.
He nodded. Then me and dororo told him to give you a hug. To make you blush..cause we told him that you liked him too.. that made him smile a lot.."
I blushed. So that's what happened!
" mio! Why'd you say that.."
She giggled and ran. I smiled at her personality and walked inside.
When I made it inside I saw dororo feeding hyakkimaru...actually more like shoving it down his throat.. I saw hyakkimaru choke and I laughed.
Dororo turned around and ran at me.
" (y/n)! You're back.."
He hugged me and I patted his back.
" yeah yeah.. it was only a few hours."
I heard hyakkimaru try to stand and I went over.
I went on my knees and he smiled at me.
I blushed and watched him. He brought his hand up And touched my cheek.
I turned my head away and picked up his food. He took a bite and I said.
" you need to eat..I want you healthy."
I put the bowl down and he looked at me strange.
I looked up and said.
" hey..you won't lose right.."
Dororo knew what I was talking about cause he has been having the same thoughts.
He saw the kids listening in and decided to leave us Alone.
" hey! Let's play!"
The kids screamed in joy and ran away from dororo.
Hyakkimaru looked at me and I said.
" you won't turn into a demon right.."
He looked shocked and continued carving.
I felt my eyes heavy and I said standing up.
" forgive me.. I was just scared..but I exhausted myself running today...I think I'll sleep early."
I was gonna walk out but Hyakkimaru grabbed my hand and looked up at me with a glare.
I looked down at him shocked. Huh?
He pulled me down and I was forced to lay next to him.
He looked down at me and pointed to him then me then slammed his hand on the side of his other hand which is a sword at the moment..
Oh..he's saying I can't leave him.. that I have to be next to him..I guess he was mad I left when he woke up. I laughed and said.
" alright..goodnight."
He patted my back as a goodnight and continued carving.
The next morning I felt someone shake me. I looked up and saw a smiling Hyakkimaru.
Then his Smile fade and pointed outside.
" huh? Outside??"
I got up and he walked me outside.
There were some kids and Hyakkimaru showed me his arm. I took his arm off and he preformed some sword tricks making the kids happy. I laughed and looked over at dororo. I smiled when I saw mio and waved. She smiled and waved back. Dororo looked at me and waved.
" hey I have something cool too!"
I heard Hyakkimaru say.
" hm?"
And I Smiled. He's almost there for talking all the way.
I put the arms back on Hyakkimaru and he grabbed my wrist pulling me along.
Oh man.. is it always gonna be like this.. we're practically hip to hip..note one..don't leave without telling Hyakkimaru first..
We made it to a storage room and saw tons of Samurai swords. The kid picked up a nice clean one and said.
" isn't it nice."
Hyakkimaru swung it a few times and I got a bad feeling..
The next morning I felt a kid wake me up.
" sis sis! Hyakkimaru left to kill that demon and dororo went after him!"
I instantly got up and Panicked. The kid and I ran to the steps and saw mio.
We told her and she ran up the steps and I followed her..
I was to scared to noticed we were being followed tho..
We made it to the house and I looked at mio scared. She hugged me and said patting my hair.
" it's ok..Hyakkimaru is strong.."
I nodded and hugged her back.. I then heard the other kids scream.
We all turned around and saw these Samurais attack the kids. One of them saw us. He threw a torch and I grabbed mio and the kid and jumped out of the house which is now burning.
I let them go and told them to run. I ran but got caught by my robe. I fell and I heard the kid yell for me. But it was too late..the sword came down and I closed my eyes..but..it never hit.. it started raining and got dark. I opened my eyes and saw the kid. He must have ran at me and protected me. I screamed and hugged the kid crying. The Samurai glared down at me and kicked me outta anger. I lost sight in my right eye but held the kid. I heard mio scream then silence..
I cried more... why... why this again.. the Samurai raised his sword again and I accepted my fate..I was lucky enough to survive my village.. may as well die with my friend..in hers..
But he was distracted and still hit me but missed any vital areas. He cut down my arm scraping off my layers of skin. I screamed. Who knew not having skin on an arm could bleed so much. I felt the affects of blood loss kick in plus my bad reputation of passing out.
I went black.
