Sherlock and John walked out of John's room. John was looking considerably happier, and Sherlock was smirking gleefully when he thought John wasn't looking. Mrs. Hudson smiled at John when see came up.
"Glad to see you're all better now, dear," she told him.
"Oh, thanks," John replied, scratching the back of his head awkwardly. "I was just feeling a little down. Sorry."
"No need to apologize, dear," Mrs. Hudson told him, turning to leave. "If I found out I was an alien, I would probably shut down too."
With that, Mrs. Hudson turned and left John and Sherlock to themselves. John blinked in surprised, then looked at Sherlock with a confused expression.
"She knows?" he asked, pointing to the door. Sherlock shrugged.
"It's nothing to be embarrassed about, John," Sherlock told him.
"I'm not embarrassed," John huffed. "Just surprised she wasn't... surprised."
"John," Sherlock sighed. "That Mrs. Hudson. Do you really think she would be surprised be this?"
John paused, sarcastically pretending to think for a minute.
"Hmm, well, yep," John nodded, looking back at Sherlock.
Sherlock rolled his eyes. "You normal people have such dull lives."
John just sighed, not willing to go down this route again. "Sure."
A minute of silence followed, both John and Sherlock wondering what to do now.
"Guess I could update my blog," John muttered, turning toward him computer. "Jesus, no ones going to believe this..."
"Yes, please do update you blog about me," Sherlock told him. "I'll be in the kitchen."
"Don't do anything weird," John called.
"You can't tell me what to do, John!" Sherlock retorted.
John sighed again, wondering if he should have not came out of his room, and Sherlock went to the kitchen to do his 'stuff'.
Sherlock opened the fridge and brought out a mysterious blue liquid in a closed off beaker. It apparently was some certain alien chemicals that the Doctor got for him from planet yada-yada. Space was so boring.
Sherlock carefully brought it out and set it down on the table. He opened the lid and looked into the beaker.
'Bubbles, some slight colour changes, still a liquid after 12 hours of freezing in a temperature of 6℃,' Sherlock noted, carefully storing his observations in his mind palace. Honestly, he probably should have been continuing his research on John being an alien, but considering John was still probably not okay, it'd be best to leave it for know.
Speaking of John, he was surprised John hadn't found-
"Hey, Sherlock?" There it was.
"What?" Sherlock called back, playing innocent.
"I just checked my search history," John called. "And, um, why is it so... weird?"
"I don't know what your talking about, John," Sherlock lied.
"Oh, sure," John huffed. "So you don't know about 'Average fridge temperate in the UK', 'Why does my roommate look like a cat if he's an alien', 'Cute cats for sale', 'Cats', 'Why does John dress like my Dad' and 'Why does the Doctor have the same tie as me'."
"...Nope," Sherlock called back, carefully looking through his microscope. John sighed.
"Fine, whatever."
A minute paused, and Sherlock eventually decided he was done. He turned back to hos experiments, and started boiling the blue liquid, just to see what would happen, documenting the changes as he watched.
'No bubbles, darker blue, contracting,' Sherlock thought. 'Still a liquid at 30℃.'
"Hey, Sherlock?" John called. Sherlock mentally groaned.
"Yes?" Sherlock hissed through his teeth.
"There's a new pub that opened near here," John told him, even though Sherlock already knew that.
"And?" Sherlock asked, annoyed at being interrupted. The happiness that John was back to normal was fading.
"Well, do you want to go?" John asked.
" Um, obviously not," Sherlock sassed.
John rolled his eyes. "Find, let's just stay in here like a bunch of-"
"Hello!" the Doctor called, bursting into 221B. "John! Glad your better!"
"...Thanks, Doctor," John said awkwardly, after the initial surprise wore off. "D...Do you need anything?"
"Well, no," the Doctor said. "But guess what?"
John gulped. "What?"
"We're going to the Singusorrell Hospital to find out what John is!!!"
