i was told every single thing was going to be okay
and that there's a brand new light to uncover every single day
convinced by their words, i waited along with a new hope
though i was stumbling and slipping through, i held tight to the rope
they told me after all the catastrophe, there was going to be light
and till that time comes, i had to stay strong and fight
for everything i desired, for my destiny
and that my fate was in the hands of no one but me
all these exhausting times were going to help me grow
