They laid motionless.
The sun had seep through the curtains and rested on their faces yet didn't seem to wake them up.
It was fairly loud outside with pack members already getting ready for another long day of training, socializing with other packs and even planning to build something for the little ones.
A female figure open the door and pulled her hood down. Though she knew some had already seen what she looked like and who she is, she still wore it.
' did they wake up yet?' She mind linked
A bird had open their eyes, so big and yellow. It stared at the two for a moment before shaking its head.
" damn it...it was too strong." She sighed
Walking to the two forgetting to close the door completely.
The bird had taken a small flight to the siblings and landed beside them. Both taking up space in the bed and sheets covering them.
Coming closer her eyes began to faintly glow when a shout came from her door. Startling the owl as it made a screeching noise and flew out the window.
" Lea!?"
She turned to see Xavier at her door. His hair a wavy mess of black. It had gotten long meaning it's near time for the blood moon.
Lea hesitated a little but bowed to him.
" why are they still sleeping? Mason was supposed to be with me before sun rise and Hazel just after" he sighed
Walking in she stepped back and fiddled with her finger.
" don't be alarmed but the drink I gave them last night was to strong for them"
" strong?" he scoffed
It was silent for a few seconds as he didn't know how to react or what she was trying to say.
He looked to the two sleeping in front of him when a sudden growl leaked through his lips.
" you drugged them?" He snarled
She sighed and faced the two once more.
" more like made them sleep more at ease. It wasn't out of bad intentions really, I just need them to relax-"
" So You Drugged Your Own Family!?" He spoke louder
Lea didn't turn around knowing how were-wolves could get even angrier.
" Xavier, I'm not a threat to them. I'm anything but that. I just wanted them to rest" she sighed running her fingers through her coils.
" You Could Kill Them" he growled
Suddenly feeling heavy weight on her shoulders and a dryness to her throat. Hearing footsteps rushing over.
" Xavier, let them and I be." She sighed once again
He growled as people began to walk in.
" is everything okay?" Max spoke
" you shouldn't be arguing Xavier" his father spoke
Xavier stiffened, haven't heard that voice of his father for a while made him freeze.
" it was by accident no? Both of them will wake up, don't be so harsh on others I told you that. And meet me in the office..we have to discuss something" he calmly spoke
Lea watched Xavier, she might have known him for a long time but realized he isn't to be underestimated.
He sighed and slightly bowed to Lea.
" apologies, just let me know when they wake up-"
" in a little, if I did it too strong then they should be up and the next few minutes. They just need rest Xavier, and I have them. So relax I'll let you know" she softly smiled
He scoffed a bit and nodded. He looked at the two once more and walked out the room, passing max as he looked in.
" they'll wake up" Lea repeated
" I know" he smiled
Walking away as it was just the four of them left in the room once more.
" red, get me some herbs..it's either now or later" she ordered to the bird
Listening as it was sat at the window but flew away. Lea smiled looking at them with calm eyes.
' kids, that dream...' she thought
Shaking it away she walked towards the door closing it and locking it this time. Walking back to the two and sat at the end of the bed.
Her eyes started to glow a faint green. Placing her hand above their bodies taking a deep breath.
• Xavier pov•
Sitting At the office one more. Only him and I in the room. It was silent nearly suffocating.
" killed a pack member, threatening your own pack, risking a lot for those two" he started
I didn't looked at him but at the table.
" even to go beyond closing them into a small room like caged dogs..not like she was anyway" he scoffed
I looked to him wide eyed.
" how did you know that? Who told you! She doesn't-"
" calm down...I must know, why hide so many things to your pack" he questioned
I stiffen a little. Looking him over and over seeing he's once again changed.
Buzz cut his hair as the large scar was on his head. His bushy brows against his tan skin. A black beard and mustache. Crossing his arms as his eyes deeply stared into mines.
" I don't want them to think they are the bad ones" I simply said
"..Xavier you're being to harsh and secretive to your own pack. Ashley has been telling me these things, you know she's my beta and you decided to do and say all this to her..even about the women" he smirked
I softly growl and glared into him.
" father I don't care how you rule your pack..but mines...mines know I don't take anything lightly. I warned them multiple times. I've been soft since those two were united. I won't stand for more blood and tears being shed by the two...so I took it in my hands. You can't blame me, you can't even blame me for trying to hide them!? Mom for god sakes ran! Or was she taken!? I don't even know anymore...their damn father is coming for them and none of us know why! So instead of sitting here for a couple of minutes in silence then decide to speak...why don't you help me?"
I felt my throat burning and tears of frustration wanting to escape. I could feel the air shift as it was based off my emotions, but I couldn't control them.
He sighed softly smiling at me.
" I know, kid..I'm here that's why-"
Suddenly the doors bursted open. Someone had fell to the floor as shouts were heard from the open door. Feeling the panic rush in sending shivers down my spine.
Looking at the person on the floor seeing it was max.
" H-Hazel" he whispered
" what about the Luna?" Father asked
He let a small whimper out and slowly looked at us. His eyes watering as he hesitated to look at me.
My heart sank.
" Max...where is Hazel" I snarled
" a-alpha please" he whimpered
My guts felt like they were twisting as I stood up. I stared into his eyes as he quickly looked away and spoke.
" Gone"
