Nevin blinked. "Sorry?"
"Well, what I meant to say," the Doctor sighed. "Is that that will not be a problem."
Nevin looked confused. "W-Why not?"
"Because.... Because," the Doctor stared, faltering. He gave up and started again. "Because I'm here."
"Because you're here?" Nevin repeated confused. The Doctor saw that the other people in the room also looked confused. Except Sherlock, who looked bored. Smart lad, he probably already figured it out.
"Yes," the Doctor said cheerfully, turning his attention back to Nevin. "Because I am here. And as long as I'm here, you don't have to worry."
Nevin sighed, giving up. "Fine then. I guess you can go."
"Thank you!" the Doctor called, collecting his friends. Sherlock and Amy, however, shoved him off and walked out themselves.
"Okay, touchè," the Doctor said, putting his hands out in surrender. He waved on of his hands to Nevin and his friends, who he had already forgotten the names of. "Au revoir!"
The Doctor walked out of the room, then paused, and poked his head back in.
"Actually, forget that, I stopped speaking french a looong time ago. Bye!"
With that out of the way. The Doctor cheerfully followed Amy and Sherlock to the TARDIS, keeping his hands up in surrender. Sherlock rolled his eyes while Amy sighed.
"Doctor, you can put your hands down now," Amy told him in exasperation.
"Oh good," the Doctor said relived. He put his hands by his side and the three of them made their way to he TARDIS.
After they (finally) got to the TARDIS, they saw Rory and John waiting for them, awkwardly avoiding eye contact. The three newcomers stopped in the entrance.
"Doctor, what did you do?" Amy asked, John and Rory looked over to them.
"What do you mean, what did I do?" the Doctor asked, offended. "Not everything is my fault!"
"Well, why are John and Rory angry with each other?"
"I don't know!"
Sherlock snorted in amusement. "Isn't it obvious?" he asked.
"Obviously not," the Doctor told him. "Sorry, always wanted to say that."
Sherlock huffed in annoyance. "Whatever. The reason they're so angry with each other is because Rory's mad John wouldn't give him the whole story, and John's mad because he's offended."
"Really?" the Doctor asked, looking at the said two, who were growing in annoyance.
"Wait, when did this happen?" Amy asked. "I saw Rory leave the room just as we left."
"You know," John interrupted. "We are right here."
"Well, I think we have already established you can't answer questions," Sherlock told him.
"Excuse me?"
"Woah, woah, everybody calm down," the Doctor said. "It's all fine, now I am here."
"So you can explain?" Rory asked hopefully.
"Hmm, maybe later," the Doctor said, heading over to the controls. Rory groaned.
Amy shook her head, and walked over to Rory. "Don't worry, I can explain it."
"And you know it better than I do?" John grumbled.
"Yeah, this happens all the time," Amy explained.
John looked confused. "But how..."
"TARDIS, aliens," Sherlock told him.
"Oh, right."
"Well, now that that's out of the way," the Doctor said, turning away from the controls. "Where to next?"
"Home," everybody else said simultaneously.
The Doctor looked at them, confused. "What? You mean you wouldn't rather go to a foreign planet?"
"Doctor," Amy tried to interrupt.
"Or maybe 3046 France?"
"Doctor."
"Or maybe meet Busby? He's an interesting fellow, never moves though..."
"DOCTOR!" Amy yelled. The Doctor looked up innocently.
"Yes, Amy?" he asked.
"We don't want any of that right now," Amy said firmly. "We want to go home."
"You sure?" the Doctor asked. "What about-"
"DOCTOR!"
"Fine," the Doctor huffed, turning around. "Be boring."
Amy sighed in relief. 'Finally,' she thought.
