My mother stands by me.
Like a lioness, she stalks the prey.
They are the weak ones on her horizon.
She would lay her life on the line for her cub.
She teaches me her ways so when I grow, I will become stronger than she might've been.
I'll stand tall.
I'll protect her when she can not do so herself.
I'll guide her through the days when she no longer has motivation to lead.
Once she takes her last breath, she'll be proud of me and relieved that I'm still here to protect what she left behind.
