Avika started calling daily to know how iam, any change in his behaviour. I said that He doesnt shout everyday like that. There may be some stress behind his shouting.
He is not that bad. He dont shout daily. Only few times.
Atleast i can comfort my heart saying like this.
The following week, vikranth, priya and varun came to our home.
I welcomed them smiling.. I love to be with people than living alone at home. Iam happy atleast he is allowing his friends. I can talk with them.
They sat on the sofa, Talking with rakesh. I went to kitchen to prepare snacks for them.
I took vessels from cupboard and turned to get bumped on to priya.
"Heyy.. Sorry priya ji.. I havent looked at you"
"Its ok.. But can you just call me priya.. Because it feels so distant if you put ji at the end of my name." priya smiled.
"Thank you for treating me as friend. "i smiled heartfully.
" There will not be any thanks and sorry between friends. Am i right swetha? " she raised her eyebrow smiling.
"Yess.. Priya.." we do high-five smiling.
"Priya.. Just sit over there.. I will get you something to eat. " i said.
"No swetha .. It will be too boring to sit with them you know.. Instead i will jelp you" she took initiative to help.
"Thats so sweet of you priya"
We made bread halwa and tea for all of us and placed them on the table.
Vikrath smiled at priya.
They look so adorable.
We too sat with them.
"By the way. Have you told her about the party" vikranth asked priya.
"ohh.. Yahh.. No.. Not yet. "priya smacked her head.
" What party?? " rakesh asked
" Its our get together party dude. You have to come.. You cant escape from us this time. And you swetha.. You also have to come for sure" vikranth said.
"Why? I mean.. Its your get to gether party" i said.
They looked seriously at me.
"i will be there na.. No need to worry" priya said.
"You are going?? " i asked.
I mean it will be boring to be there in someothers party na..
"Ofcourse how can she miss? When its our get to gether" varun said.
All chuckled except my dear husband.
"You dont know right?? We all are of same batch. We all are friends. " vikranth said.
Ohh.. Thats how they are so close.
"Is it yours a love marriage? " i asked priya.
She blushed.. Vikranth smiled and holded her hand and said "yess"
I smiled.
"So what do you say?? " priya asked with her puppy eyes.
I looked at rakesh. He seem to be thinking seriously.
"Swetha.. Dont look at him. He has to come. Other wise he will make a caccon for himself. It will be good if you accompany him. So atleast he will come for you" varun said.
I dont know what to reply. If i say yes.. He might get angry. But if i say no.. May be he will not recover from past.
I want to see the change in him. So i will go.. He might scold me. But its not new to me right.
If it makes atleast 1 % change in him. Thats a good thing.
I nodded my head.
"I will come" i said.
Rakesh looked shocked.
"Woww.. Thats a good decision dear.. " priya hugged me.
"When and Where is the party?" rakeshh asked.
"Its in night club next sunday evening." varun said.
"Whatt?? Club?? " i exclaimed.
"Yah.. Its night club at MG road." vikranth said
"No.. I dont want to come" i said.
"But why? " priya asked.
"I dont drink. Iam not in to these clubs.. Sorry"i said.
How can i drink alcohol.. Noo..
Vikranth laughed loudly.
" Shh.. Vikky.. Stop it." priya smacked his head.
" Aww.. Thats too hard." he massaged his head where she smacked.
Varun chuckled.
"Its not like every one who goes to club gets drunk and addicted to drugs.. There will be nonalcoholic beverages too.. " priya explained.
"Is it so?? " i asked.
"Yah.. Trust me. " she reassured.
"You can try if you want" vikranth said.
"Vikky.. " priya glared
"Hey.. Im just kidding. " vikranth held up his hands.
I smiled at their funny and lovely relation ship. I always wanted such lovely person.
They seem to be like avi and prateesh.
After some chitchatting.. They went away.
Rakesh didnt say anything to me. Thank god he is not in bad mood. But he seem to be thinking alot.
Next day.. I got a call from unknown number.. "Hi.. Swetha.. This is priya"
"Hey.. Hi.. Its a surprise.. How you got my number. "
"Well.. Its not a big deal.. I asked your hubby.. " she said as a matter of fact.
Yahh.. Ofcourse they are all friends afterall.
"What are you doing? " she asked.
"Nothing just cleaning the room".
"Ohh.. Are you free today evening?? " she asked.
"Yah.. But y?? "
"Nothing.. I just want to do shopping for the party. Can u come with me? Vikranth is busy.. I dont want to go alone" she said.
"Hmm.. Yah.. Sure.. "
"Okay.. I will come at 5pm to pickup you"
"Okay.. "
"Okay.. Bye bye.. " she cut the call.
I smiled.
She came and we went to manthri mall.
"Woww.. Its so huge.." i said with widened eyes.
"Havent you come here before??" i said no.
"Ohh.. " she said doubtfully.
We went to max and she baught printed jeggings along with crop top.
I liked her selection.
"Do you wanna buy anything? " she asked.
"Iam not comfortable with these western wear" i said. She raised her eyebrow.
"Its not like iam against it. I do love them. But its just i havent tried them. Trying them first for party is a little bit.. "i reasoned.
"As your wish" she said.
We came home.
On the day of party.
Priya and vikranth came to our home early. Because they have a lot of doubt that we might not come to party.
Priya came and asked rakesh to get out of our bed room as she wants to give a makeover for me.
She braught a green coloured chiffon saree for me to wear.
"Priya.. Why all these"
" It looks good on you dear. " she said.
She opened her bag and gave jewellery set. They are so beautiful
She made my hair an updo with few strands at sides above ears left and she curled it using curler. Did a light makeup for me.
I looked in the mirror. Shocked to see the one infront.
Is it really me?? I mean.. I liked the look of myself for the first time.
"You look beautiful dear. "
Tears formed in my eyes..
"Colour doesnt mask the beauty. You didnt try to appreciate the beauty in you. " she said.
I hugged her.
"Vaishali the one rakesh loved might be beautiful.. But you too are in your own way. Be self confident.. Confidence makes women beautiful. " i nodded.
"Ok.. Lets go.. Otherwise they will leave without us." i chuckled
We went outside to see.. Rakesh wearing turquoise coloured shirt with brown jeans. His sleeved folded at mid forarm. That shirt hugged his body perfectly. He looked more handsome today.
"Wah.. Finally these ladi-" vikranth cut his sentence looking us..
"Woww.. Swetha.. You look beautiful" he exclaimed.
"Of course she always is. But u havnt seen her" priya reverted back
I smiled and looked at rakesh.
He stunned looking at me for few seconds and then he diverted his eyes.
"Okay lets go.. Its already late.. " rakesh said.
We went to night club.
There are lots of people. Iam the only one who wore saree.. Every one wore western wear.
It seems like iam the odd one.
"Rakesh dude.. How are you?" a short stout man came and hugged rakesh.
He fake smiled.
"Iam sorry dude.. I heard about vaishali.. " he said.
"Sidd.. Will you stop discussing that topic? " varun came.
"Hey.. Varun.. yah.. Okay.. So how is life going on? "
Sidd and varun started chatting. Rakesh went to sit at corner.
I wanted to go to him.. But two men went near him. They started chatting. I dont want to disturb him, because it is what he needs now. Being friendly with others.
You cant move on from ur past if you make thick walls around you.. Being alone always brings memories.. Break the wall and see the world. You will move on easily.
Priya and vikranth went to meet some of their friends.
I sat on the chair. Looking around.
"Is it boring to be here? "
I turned my head to see varun. He came and sat beside me.
"No.. Not completely. Actually Its better than living alone at home."I smiled. Varun nodded.
" By the way.. You are looking more beautiful today " i smiled and said thank you.
" If you want any drink.. I mean. Non alcoholic.. you can get there."He said pointing towards the counter. I nodded.
" Heyy.. Varun.. You changed alot" a girl came and patted his shoulder.
"Hey.. Hi.. " varun said.
"Where is rakesh..? I havent seen and talked to him since along time" she said.
She looked so beatiful. With round face, fair skin, big eyes, good figure. Her smile also is adorable.
Varun pointed towards rakesh who is talking with two men. " there he is.. " he said.
" Aww.. He became more handsome than before. Okay.. I will go and meet him first" she went to rakesh.
"Who is she?? " i asked. I dont feel good about rakesh talking to her. I mean she is so beautiful..
"She is namitha.. She is one of our close friends. She had a huge crush on rakesh. Rakesh too knows but he just thinks her as good friend. He dont want to leave her friendship because she is really kind hearted. " varun smiled remembering the past.
But my heart didnt felt good. She is so beautiful and she had huge crush.. Now that there is no vaishali may be he might fell for her.
Its obvious swetha.. He always wants best. How can you think that he will like you.?
I looked towards rakesh.
She went and hugged him from back side. He stiffened. Turned to see her.
The other two men smiled and said something and went away.
"I will come back. Just wait a minute. " varun said. I nodded.
I looked at rakesh and namitha.
Namitha started talking happily. She started laughing. How can a guy cant fell for her. Rakesh smiled at her. It doesnt look like the normal fake smile.. It felt like he truly smiled heartfully.
I felt like someone squeezing my heart.
Does rakesh love her to moveon from vaishali?
