"How many times have I told you about going ghoul hunting on your own?!" Sasaki's pissed voice could be heard from the next room. "Even dragging Shirazu-kun along with you! You can be so reckless sometimes, Urie-kun"
"I'm sorry, investigator Sasaki" Urie apologized while bowing in front of him. "It won't happen again, I promise (You should thank me that I didn't let him get killed by that ghoul or get executed)"
Sasaki just sighed and told Urie to call him when Shirazu wakes up when the purple haired male opened the door to his hospital room
Shirazu, who just woke up, tried to adjust his vision to the strong, white light of the hospital room as Urie closed the door behind him
"You woke up already?" Urie asked as he took a seat on the chair next to Shirazu's bed who refused to say anything. "Not gonna talk? You know, you should thank me that I saved your ass. I took the blame for you and told Sasaki that we went ghoul hunting to prevent you getting executed--"
Shirazu, pissed as hell, he clenched his fists and in the next moment, he jumped on Urie, taking him down on the floor, punching him in the face countless times until his mouth started to bleed
"Thank you? To thank you for what, Urie? Thank you for killing the love of my life? The only one that made me forget about my fucked up life and made me feel better? Don't make me laugh" said Shirazu in a lower voice as he got up while Urie coughed up more blood
"You wanted to get executed for a ghoul, Shirazu?!" Urie asked pissed as he got up. "Do you want to die so badly?!"
"Just get out before I take out your kakuhou for real this time and choke you with it" Shirazu hissed
Not too long after, Urie left Shirazu alone, going back home at the Chateau

"Oi, how many times do I have to tell you to call me by my first name?"
"Ginshi?"
"That's better"
Some of the most precious memories with you started to flash before Shirazu's eyes as he continued to stare out on the window of his room
His heart was aching...
A numbing pain took control over his body as your sweet voice continued to echo in his mind
"Why are you always taking pictures of me? It's kinda creepy"
"Well, everytime when I wake up, the first thing I'm doing is to look at the pictures of you to see your pretty face, until I get to see the real you"
"E-eh? S-say, Ginshi. When I'm going to be old, are you still going to take pictures of me?"
"Hmm... Nope"
"O-oh..."
"Because, when we're going to grow older, I'll see your face on the pillow next to mine"
"If I wasn't so stupid..." muttered Shirazu, closing his eyes. "If I didn't run off like an idiot that night when you told me the truth... If I didn't call that bastard... If only I acted faster... If only I was wiser... If only I was stronger... What did you do to deserve such ending, [F/N]...? No... It's my fault... I killed her... My own idiocy killed her..."

"Did... what...?" Shirazu muttered, looking in disbelief at the doctor
"It's true" the doctor replied. "Urie-san told me that you took out a ghoul with a pretty strong kagune and I thought it would be a waste to not use it"
"Doc, if you're talking about the Nutcracker, you already gave it to me--" replied Shirazu
"No, no" the doctor interrupted him, handing to Shirazu a silver suitcase. "This one is different. Is a katana like quinque which I named Angel. I couldn't think of a better name, I'm sorry"
"Don't tell me... this quinque..." thought Shirazu as he started to tremble
"Ah, Shirazu-kun!" Sasaki called, making the mentioned male to snap back to reality. "I see you've got your new quinque. Two in a row, not bad"
"T-thanks, Sassan" Shirazu whispered as he looked frightened at the suitcase from his hand
"Don't you want to see how it looks like?" The doctor asked
In an instant, Shirazu could feel his throat dried up, his heart beat increased and his whole body started to shake as he searched with his thumb the button of the suitcase
"Please, don't be--"
But his thoughts got cut off when the suitcase changed into a long, sharp katana with a smooth edge and black and red colors
You took off your black coat and threw it a few inches away as from the back of your waist, a black and red rinkaku kagune rose up, emitting a lot of heat since kagunes are sources of heat
"Whoa!" Shirazu exclaimed, looking amazed at your kagune. "That's so cool!"
"You think so?" You asked as you sheepishly grinned
"You're so beautiful, babe"
He could feel how a knot tied up in his throat as he dropped the quinque and fell on his knees, breathing heavily
"Shirazu-kun!" Sasaki asked worried as hell as he kneeled down next to him. "Are you alright?!"
"Y-yeah..." Shirazu tried to mutter. "I'm fine, Sassan. Don't worry"
"Most investigators have the same reaction when they get a new quinque, it's something normal" the doctor explained as Haise helped Shirazu stand up
"Yeah, it's something normal to see your girlfriend turned into a weapon" Shirazu thought as a frown made its way on his forehead

"Hey, don't you think that Shiragin went to the gym more often than Uri-boy?" Asked Saiko as Mutsuki just shrugged
"I mean, the Rosé extermination is coming up" explained Mutsuki. "It's something normal, he just wants to be in shape"
"I dunno" sighed Saiko. "He sometimes seems pissed and this morning snapped at me randomly"
"I know, I heard it too..." Mutsuki sighed as well
"Why don't we try to make him feel better?" Saiko proposed as she opened the door to the gym
"I don't think that's a good idea" Mutsuki replied a little unsure
"Nonsense!" Saiko exclaimed. "Wassup, rabbit ears?"
But Shirazu didn't reply, he was too busy with lifting weights that he didn't even notice Saiko and Mutsuki's presence there
"Not gonna talk, huh?" Saiko muttered as she took a baton made out of wood that they used for training. "Then... talk with the stick!"
Saiko raised the baton up in air and with all of her force, she kicked Shirazu in the nuts, about to make him drop the weights on his chest
"What the actual fuck, Saiko?!" He yelled at her as he tried to get up. "Holy mother of fucking hell... the pain..."
"That's what you get for not talking to us!" Saiko retorted. "And when you do, you yell at us like we did some illegal shit!"
"And you expect me to not yell at you when you kick me in my privates?!" Shirazu yelled at Saiko as Mutsuki massaged his temples in frustration
"That's another thing, Shiragin, doesn't matter" Saiko waved him off as he just deadpanned. "What's wrong with you? What happened to you?"
"Nothing happened Saiko and if that's all, let me continue with my training" Shirazu sighed as he got back on the bench
"Shiragin, you liar" Saiko muttered as she stormed out of the room, followed by Mutsuki
"I'm sorry, guys" Shirazu thought. "All of these emotions are getting more and more unbearable. All thanks to that bastard..."

Time skip
The night of the Rosé extermination
"The Nut is no good" Shirazu thought as he wiped the blood from his face. "I guess I... I need to use Angel..."
With shaky hands, Shirazu pressed the button that turned his suitcase into a katana like quinque while running to Noro, the masked ghoul that turned into a kakuja
While running to the kakuja with his quinque in his hand, your scent pierced Shirazu's nasal cavity in an instant as he started to frown at the familiar scent
"I don't want anyone to die anymore... So please... Help me, [Y/N]...!"
The quinque started to cut into the kakuja body countless times as Shirazu started to grow more and more tired, but still...
It wasn't effective...
Shirazu backed off as Noro was already regenerating, the quinque in his hand breaking to pieces
"[Y/N]...? No... no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no! That was all I had left from her! My only memory of her!"
"You monster!!" He yelled, getting ready for another attack as he activated his Qs powers. "If it can heal from that... then, there's nothing more I can do..." Shirazu thought while on his back, his ukaku kagune formed
Shirazu, without any hint of hesitance or fatigue, he continued to hit the ghoul, injuring it until it looked like he won't regenerate anymore
"Urie!! That enough fire cover for ya?!" Yelled Shirazu, looking at Urie who had a shocked expression as some blood covered his face. "It's up to you now, man!!"
Running to the ghoul, Urie slashed his head off where his koukahou was, killing him, finishing what Shirazu started
Panting, Urie's kagune fades as he was looking at Shirazu who took a big hit in his lower back, a big part of it missing
Looking at Urie smirking, Shirazu lost balance, falling on his back
"Shirazu!" Yelled Urie, running to him
"Shirazuki!" Yelled Saiko, doing the same
"I took a pretty nasty hit..." chuckled Shirazu while Urie held him to make him face the ceiling. "Don't worry... it'll heal... we're... quinxes... Urie..."
"It's okay, don't talk..." Muttered Urie
"Where's Sassan...?" Whispered Shirazu, trying his best to keep on breathing. "I wanna see Sassan... No real reason... but I wanna see him... now..."
"Investigator Sasaki will be here... Just calm down and breath" replied Urie. "This is just a scratch for someone with our regenerative abilities. "With proper treatment and plenty of rest, you'll recover. Rest up for two weeks and you'll be..."
"Shirashira, we have to get you to a hospital" cried Saiko
"What'll... happen if I die here?" Asked Shirazu, breathing heavily
"Don't be stupid..." frowned Urie. "You'll be fine..."
"Haru..." whispered Shirazu
"Your sister?! That's right!" Exclaimed Urie. "That's right, your sister needs you... so hang in there..."
"Shirazuki..." cried Saiko
"Urie... Saiko... Why aren't you guys saying anything?" Asked Shirazu as his eyes looked for the two mentioned people
"Shirazu...?" Muttered Urie
"Guys... where are you... talk to me... I can't... Is anybody... Is anybody there...? I can't hear a thing..." muttered Shirazu as the others yelled his name. "It's so quiet... am I... gonna disappear...? I'm scared... I'm scared... I'm scared! Hold my hand..."
"Don't worry! We're right here!!' Shouted Urie. "Yonebayashi, Mutsuki, me..."
"Haru... If I die... let her go... painlessly..." whispered Shirazu with his eyes half closed
"What are you talking about?! Shirazu... you're going to make money for her... you're going to pay her treatment for her ROS... for her disease, aren't you?" Shouted Urie as tears started to form in the corner of his eyes. "How're you gonna do that if you die here, huh?! You took out a rate SS... When the op is over, you'll get payed bigtime! A thousand... no, more like two thousand! This was... this was your achivement, Shirazu! You did..."
"[Y-Y/N]..." Shirazu whispered as Urie flinched. "Y-you're here..."
"Of course I am" the mentioned female replied with a small smile plastered on her face. "Oh Ginshi, what have you done to yourself...?"
"Ha... I really don't like you seeing me like this right now..." Shirazu muttered
"Come on, Ginshi... We need to go..."
"Not now, [Y/N]..." he sighed. "I want to see Sassan first..."
"Ginshi... you know that your body won't last like this any longer... we need to go"
"Please, [Y/N]... one more minute..."
"Shirazu, what the fuck are you saying?!" Urie yelled at Shirazu who was just staring at the ceiling. "There's no [Y/N] here! She's dead, Shirazu!"
"Come on, Ginshi. It's time for you to go" the woman said, extending her hand to the mentioned male
"Alright..." muttered Shirazu as he extended his hand to reach her hand. "I-I'm coming w-with you..." he whispered as he grabbed her hand
The hand Shirazu raised up in air fell beside his body as he gave his last breath, completely giving up on life
"Sh-Shirazu?" Muttered Urie, shaking him by the shoulders
"Shirazuki?" Silently cried Saiko
But it was too late and in vain... as an eerie silence fell in the whole room...
"DON'T YOU DARE DIE ON US, DAMN IT!!!" Shouted Urie from the top of his lungs as more tears streamed down on his face
"N-no, noooo... Shirashira..." cried Saiko as she started to shed more tears
"Wait... what...?" Muttered Mutsuki shocked
"Let's go, Ginshi" you said, taking the mentioned male by the hand as he was looking at his teammates that mourned him. "It's time for you to rest now"
"I'm sorry, guys..." Shirazu sighed as he started to walk away with you
