Rose had told us that her and Trevor had been on the run for 500 years and they are using Elena and I as bait to negotiate their freedom.
We question why but, she only told us the usual. That Elena was a Petrova doppelgänger and I was the special breed that could break the curse.
So far, more than five people have told me that I'm a special breed in which I do not understand.
She also informed us that Elena has to die in order to break the curse. This news made me a little on edge I'd have to say.
Soon Elena sits in the couch with me.
"Do you think they'll hurt us?" She whispered.
"I won't let them. Or this Elijah guy." I say grabbing her hand.
She gives me a sad smile.
"I'm really glad you came back. But I'm sorry you had to be dragged in to this."
I only waved her off.
"He's here!" Trevor said rushing down the stairs.
"This was a mistake." He starts to panic and I can't help but feel the same feeling as I watched him. Curious as to why someone who is supposed to be superhuman is scared.
" oh, I told you I would get us out of this. You have to trust me"
"No! He wants me dead, Rose!"
"He wants her more."
"No. You give her to him and he'll have mercy on you. I need to get out of here."
"Hey! what are we?" She asks.
"We're family." He breathes out. I find myself smiling, watching as the girl consoled the man lovingly.
"Forever." He adds.
Than we hear a pounding on the door.
Rose whispers something to him before running up.
I stand in front of Elena on the couch protectively.
"I'm scared, Kiera." She whispers.
"Don't be. I've got you. Promise."
I hear footsteps approach.
And I see a man in a suit walk up. Elena wraps her arms around me and I tense.
He vamp speeds over and looks at us. His eyes search in mine. The feeling a familiarity and calmness coursed through my veins despite the situation.
I could have sworn I saw tears in the man's eyes.
He smells my neck before smelling hers.
"Human and a- it's impossible. Hello There." He says. I can feel her shaking behind me.
" We have A long journey ahead of us we should be going." He says.
"please, don't let him take us." She says.
"Shut up!" I hiss. I pull her back behind me.
"One last piece of business. Than we're done." He leans in and looks at the necklace around me.
"What a lovely piece of jewelry. Is it charmed?" He asked.
"For good luck." I say calmly. He smirks and nods walking over to Trevor.
Dirty bastard is gonna kill him.
I turn around to Elena and make her look at me.
"Look at me. Not matter what happens. Keep your eyes on mine. Okay?" She nods and I smile.
"We're gonna get out of here." I say.
I hear a squish and the sound of a head falling.
Elena goes to look but I grab her face.
"What did I say." I growl. I hear Rose cry out.
"Come." Elijah says.
"W-What about the moonstone?" Elena blurts. I sigh and glare at her.
"What do you know about the moonstone?"
"We know that you need it, and I know where it is." I finish.
He hums in response.
"I can help you get it."
"Tell me where it is."
I chuckle.
"Do you think I'm dumb. There's no way. It doesn't work like that." He clenches his jaw and smiles slightly.
"Are you negotiating with me?"
He turns back to Rose.
"It's the first I've heard of it."
He turns to me and grabs my neck. I can tell he's trying to compel me because his pupils widen.
"Why can't i-" He looks at my necklace.
"You aren't wearing vervain?" He questions. "That's new." He throws me back and goes to Elena, takes off her necklace and compels the information out of her.
I groan.
Than we hear noise from upstairs.
"What was that? Who else is here?"
"I don't know." Rose says.
He grabs Elena roughly and gestures me to follow. I chuckle.
"Move!" He growls.
When we get upstairs someone speeds past us.
Elijah throws Elena to Rose and I stand beside him.
"Up here."
"Down here." The boys tease. They shoot him with a steak.
I get grabbed and a hand covers my mouth to stop to the squeal.
Damon looks at me and smirks before waving his fingers.
"Excuse me. To whom it may concern, you're making a grave mistake if you think that you can beat me. You cant. you hear that? I repeat, you cannot beat me so I want the girls on the count of three, or heads will roll. Do we understand each other."
"I'll come with you. Just don't hurt my friends." Elena says.
"What game are you playing with me?" I hear him say.
She pops out the grenade and he screams in pain.
When he goes for her again I rush out with a steak.
But as soon as it's about to meet his skin my arm locks up.
"What the hell?" I ask. I try and stab him but it's like my arm isn't letting me harm him.
I look at his face that held just as much confusion as mine.
"Stefan!" I scream. On cue, Stefan tackles Elijah to the ground and soon both brothers have him pinned to the door.
Elena runs to Stefan while I walk to Damon.
He smiled sadly and brings me in a hug.
"Don't do that. I almost lost my buddy." He says. I chuckle and I lean into his ear.
"I'm sorry about Elena. You'll get her one day I promise." I whisper.
He only nods.
"Let's get you gals home." He says.
