KOPA POV
It has been a few weeks since the incident with the hyenas and I have recovered from my cuts and bruises, but now I'm too scared to leave the pride rock and I have nightmares of them hurting me.
But right now it was late and I had a nightmare and so I went outside and looked at the star.
"Kopa" I turn my head and I saw my dad "what are you doing up at this hour?"
"I had another nightmare and I couldn't go back to sleep and so I came out here to get some air and just look at the stars"
He then sits next to me "do you want to talk about what happened?"
"No, it's still too scary to talk about it"
Dad then scoots me closer to him and then I cuddle up to him and cry.
"Shhh shh shhh, it's ok it's ok," dad says.
"I'm scared," I said while I was crying.
"And it's ok to be scared" I then look at him "you know when I was your age I was scared," dad says.
"Of what?"
"My father was killed" I gasp "I was terrified because I saw it with my own eyes"
"How did he die?"
"He died saving me from a stampede that was caused by the hyenas, but I learned years later that it was Scar that wanted us both dead" dad says.
"Whos Scar?"
"Scar was my father's brother and my uncle and your great uncle," dad says.
"Why did Scar want yall dead?"
"He was jealous of my father and me," dad says.
"Why?"
"He wanted to be king and rule the pridelands," dad says.
"Do you miss grandfather?"
"Everyday" he then looks at the stars "let me tell you something that my father told me, look at the stars" I then look at the stars "the great kings of the past look down on us from those stars"
"Really"
"Yes, so whenever you feel alone just remember that those kings will always be there to guide you and so will I," dad says.
"Wow, so they're looking at us right now?" I ask.
"I believe so and I do believe that your grandfather is watching over you too," dad says.
"Grandfather probably sees me as an embarrassment to the family since I'm too scared to leave pride rock"
"No, I don't think so" I then look at my dad "I knew my dad pretty well and know that he isn't thinking that at all" dad then stands up "come on let's go back to bed"
"Ok"
We then went back into the den and we laid down and I cuddled up to my dad and fell asleep with his arm around me.
**next morning**
When I wake up I left the den and sat at the end of pride rock and looked at the land and watched all the animals.
"Kopa" I turn my head and it was my dad "I want you to come with me so that we can talk"
"Yo-you mean out there?"
"Yes away from pride rock" I then get nervous "don't get nervous I will not leave your side," dad says.
"Ok" he then smiles.
We then left pride rock and we walked around.
"Kopa it's time I tell you about the circle of life," dad says.
"Ok"
"Do you know what it is?" dad asks.
"No"
"Then let me explain, everything you see has a balance and as King, you must understand that balance," dad says.
"But I thought Kiara was going to be the next ruler of the land?" I ask being confused.
"She is, but if anything happens to her, you take over as King," dad says.
"But wouldn't Kion be next though"
"No, and that is because since Kion is the leader of the Lion Guard, he can't be king unless he steps down from the lion guard"
"I see"
"But anyway, as I said before everything you see has a balance and you must understand it"
"Ok"
"Everything you see exists together in a delicate balance and you must understand that balance and respect all the creatures from the crawling and the leaping antelope," dad says.
"But dad don't we eat the antelope?" I ask.
"Yes Kopa, but let me explain when we die our bodies become the grass and the antelope eat the grass and so we are all connected in the great circle of life," dad says.
"Good morning Sire," Zazu says as he lands on the rock.
"Good morning Zazu" dad says.
"Checking in with the morning report" Zazu says.

After Zazu was done he left and we continued on our walk.

KION POV
I was alone and then I felt the wind blow and something told me to follow it and so I did.
As I kept walking I saw my grandfather show up.
"Hello, Kion" grandfather said.
"Hello Grandfather, was that you controlling the wind?"
"Yes and I did it so that we could talk," Mufasa says.
"About what?"
"Kopa," Mufasa says.
"What about Kopa?"
"You must keep him safe," Mufasa says.
"Why is he in danger?" I ask with worry.
"No, he's fine, Kopa is with Simba for the time being," Mufasa says.
"Is something bad going to happen to Kopa?"
"I am not allowed to say, but you must keep Kopa safe or the Great Balance will be out of wack," Mufasa says.
"I understand grandfather, I will make sure he is always safe"
"Good"
After that, he faded away.
