Jack is a kind-hearted, chatterbox who won't hesitate to state his opinion. Though Jack isn't afraid to get into a fight, he is known by many for his sweet, hard to find a personality. Normally people with his status would be selfish, stuck up jerks - but Jack is the exact opposite. Jack is one of the most accepting and pure-hearted people on campus. He will always give someone a second chance and forgive the past even when he probably shouldn't. Some people think that this makes Jack soft, but they are quickly reminded of what he is capable of if they become a thorn in his side. Though he is a sweetheart, not many people know anything about him or his personal life. He's a star athlete, here on a scholarship, and gets along with anyone . . . and that's all anyone seems to know about him. Beside his adorable side, Jack is protective, at times defensive, and possessive over those he considers part of him. With new powers and all the murders happening, Jack feels that he is pretty safe from being killed with everyone loving him, but he can't help but feel that his power leaves him responsible to find out more information since he can sneak about without anyone knowing he's there. No matter how responsible he feels to help his friends, he only cares about two people.

Jack was the first and only child born into the Wilder household. His parents were neither wanting a child or could see themselves as parents when they were told they were expecting a baby boy. His mother had even tried natural abortion within the first few months of pregnancy. Despite everything she tried to stop him from being born, Jack was born two weeks early a healthy, strong little man. Growing up his mom's job required her to be constantly traveling, so he barely saw his mom and has never grew a close relationship with her. His only parent figure in his life was his father, who didn't exactly want Jack either.
Like most little boys, Jack fell in love with every sport for a certain period of time, but basketball stuck around longer than any other. Firstly starting with backyard basketball hoops to basketball summer camps, Jack was quickly noticed for his skill at the sport. He was sent to camps for boys two or three years older than him because Jack had too high of a skill level for the camps at his age level. His father's obsession with fame and wealth turned him from a father into Jack's full-time basketball coach. Each day since he was six, Jack would practice basketball drills and exercises for four hours a day. As he got older weights and harder workouts were added in. Jack's only chance at friends were those on his basketball teams, but even those kids would disappear from the sport eventually. He missed out on birthday parties, school events, and a normal childhood.
Though Jack has never fallen out of love with the sport, there were times he wished his father would have let him spend time being a kid. It wasn't until Jack got a scholarship at the university that he was able to get his taste of freedom. Once he was fully moved out of his father's home and into a college dorm, he cut off all communication with his family. He wanted to live without a coach for a while, be independent. Around the first spring break, Jack called his father to tell him about school and crushes, but all he was interested in was how Jack was doing in basketball. This made him realize that he would never have a father-son relationship with his dad, he would only ever be a coach. Jack is finally focusing on what he wants in life, instead of pleasing his father.
Basketball has benefited Jack with a scholarship and many other traits but has left more than a few scars along the way. College is the first time that Jack has been able to explore making friends and possibly more. Because he hasn't had a life long friend before, he makes sure to make friends with everyone and have an inviting personality that's hard to say no to. In the sports community, Jack has always been told being gay is a bad thing and you can't be a professional sports player and have homosexual tendencies - this has caused an issue. When Jack first came to the university he met a beautiful girl who loved nature and was part of the cheer team during a sports event. Quickly he found himself loving everything about her . . . even her best friend. Spending so much time with her, he was required to be around her friend at times too. Craving love so badly, Jack found himself having deep feelings for both of the cheer team members and sleeping with both of them.
Jack isn't afraid of what people think of him if they knew he was bisexual, he's afraid what would happen to his basketball career because of how homophobic the basketball league is. He isn't hesitant to show public affection towards his female love but makes sure his male love doesn't doubt his feelings for him behind doors. Jack has such hard feelings for both that he can't see himself choosing only one, he wants to be publicly dating both of them. That would be a dream come true.
What Happened That Night|
Jack wasn't in the mood to go to the party that night, but with his girl and guy saying they were going to be there, he decided he would go. The house was blasting music and lights were flashing making it barely visible as you walked around, multiple people were laughing as they would bump into one another. Jack had found himself quite tipsy, but not drunk. His teammates talked him into doing beer pong with the other teammates, though his attention was on two best friends dancing in the crowd. When a big crash was heard from outside, the entire house shook nearly knocking Jack off his feet. Jack was one of the first people outside to stare at the large blue glowing, meteor in the ground. His friends laughing, shoving him slightly, pressuring him to be the first in the hole. Jack was the first one to walk into the crater. He could feel the entire party's eyes on him, probably seeing if he was going to die before one by one more started to climb in to see and snap photos. Jack's eyes wandered the blue rock closely as he pressed one hand against the center of the rock, he could feel the energy vibrate through his body. He felt a soft hand grasp his free one just before the blast hit. Jack was flown all the way to the edge of the crater, knocking several people down on his way. His head hit against the dirt so hard he passed out immediately. If it wasn't for someone dragging him out of the pit and returning him to his friends, he would have been left there next to the vibrating rock and who knows what would have happened.

Jack is sleeping with 'I'm lookin for a mind at work' and 'Love doesn't discriminate between saints and sinners'. He has deep feelings between the two of them which leaves him torn. He doesn't let himself think about doing what society would consider 'right' and pick one, instead he lives his life being with both of them because choosing one would leave him with a hole inside his heart. He also thinks it's kind of ironic that his power is "dark" and his female lover's power is "light".
Jack doesn't sing around anyone except for his two lovers if you happen to catch him singing consider yourself lucky. Jack thinks that he is an awful singer when he happens to have a beautiful voice. The boy can also play guitar almost perfectly. He has the voice of Anson Saebra. He has thought of doing a collab with Piper Cavanaugh where she would make the music and he would make the lyrics, but that would require singing in front of her. He isn't shy, but just thinks he's awful at singing.
