I know. Another third pov chapter (You can read it or skip it)

Dedicated to SoulEater214 your comments made my day!

********

Her hands shook as she brought her thumb close to the biometrics. Sweat collected and she hastily wiped it in her jeans. Clenching her hands, she closed her eyes and took deep breaths.

One.

Two.

Three.

She snapped her eyes open to see her reflection on the glass doors. She had donned a navy blue jeans and a white tunic top. Her recently dyed honey brown hair was pulled in a high ponytail. Her nails were precisely cut and she had given them a pale pink colour.

To someone out, she looked professional enough with that calm face of hers. But her brown eyes betrayed the chaos and confusion that raged in her. It blatantly announced how nervous she was to the world.

Calming her fluttering heart, she pressed her thumb against the biometrics before she could lose her will. The doors opened stealthily like a midnight assassin.

The second she stepped in, the lights of the lab flared to life with a faint buzz.

She licked her lips. Computers and screens were there. She knew the West Pack had each information in digital as well as in hard copy. And to make sure that the information was valid, the papers were signed by the scientist who oversaw at that time. Most of the works had been signed by Liv in the past twenty years and by Lyra in the past three years. Before the two girls, it had been a male who signed most of the papers. His name was Warren Whyte, who had been Cain's best friend.

She bit her lips as she sat comfortably on a chair and switched on the computer in front of her.

A blue screen welcomed her and she quickly opened the database Cheryl had said.

Cher! She called out to the twin. I am in.

The reply came immediately. Amazing, Reece. Now go to the top-

As much as it irked her, she followed that female's command. Apart from Livvia, Cheryl was the one who knew how to search in the database. She could have asked Livvia if she was sure that female could be trusted.

As Cheryl was saying her what to do, another voice came in.

Why are you searching about him? Cat asked.

Dunno, Reece replied as she allowed her fingers to dance across the keyboard. Lyra asked.

About Raoul?

Yes, she said, as she entered the boy's name.

Immediately all the information the pack had about the boy appeared before her.

All the experiments Liv had done on Raoul.

All the experiments a mother had done on her child.

That was not it.

There were blood sample results that matched with Lyra's. Whatever this was, this was big. Lyra the first shifter, or so they had said. Now, this little boy's DNA matched with hers?

What was happening?

She delved in more. There had been a project Liv had headed. It had actually been a project under Warren. And for some reason, it was terminated. Liv had taken that project four years ago and she had received some interesting results.

It was the time of her life Reece wished she had taken science or biology as her major instead of History. She could not understand the experiment. All she could infer from the result was, this was a project to see who were shifters and this clearly stated Lyra and Raoul were one.

So... Liv knew this long ago? Why had she kept her silence?

Reece! Her mate's frantic call made her snap from her concentration.

What is it? She asked.

Where are you at this time? Mike asked.

She winced. It was definitely not right to leave her mate at four in the morning because she had something to find. Especially when he was still grieving for his sister.

Reece gritted her teeth. If Aurelia had been alive, things would have definitely been different. She would have explained everything to them in detail.

Lab, she answered.

At this hour? he asked.

The only time, it is free, she justified as she closed the tabs she had opened.

Are you sure no is there? He asked.

Pretty sure, Reece reassured. I am all alone.

Take care, Reece, he said. Get out as fast as you can.

Ye- before she could finish that one-syllable word, she was about to close the first tab that had opened.

She froze when she read the name of the child. When she saw the genetic test with her own eyes. She did not need a degree in biology or something to understand this.

Reece? Mike's frantic call pulled her from her shock. Are you there?

Y-yes, she croaked. I-I am here.

Reece? Cheryl's voice came. Are you alright?

Y-yes, she managed to say. I am alright.

You don't sound like one, Cheryl commented.

Because I am not, Reece said.

Reece! Mike snapped. What is happening?

I can't believe what I am seeing, Reece said. That's all.

What are you seeing? Cat asked. Unless you are seeing a Warrior of Moon or a Hunter of Moon, nothing is going to faze me.

Just a few minutes ago, Reece would have agreed with Catherine. But the result was right in front of her. Her heart could not accept what her brain had stored as a piece of permanent information.

It was clearly stated who was the boy's parents. Raoul was not half werewolf like Liv had claimed. He was born to two werewolves.

He was born to Cain.

Why did Liv lie to them? Were they that worse friends? What was the reason to hide this from them? Cain had been a part of their group until he had switched sides. They would not have said anything bad. If anything, they would have just teased.

Or was it because of Aurelia? Before Liv had come to the pack's capital, Cain and Aurelia had been dating. Even after she had come, they had been dating for two more years until they had finally broken up. Was this the reason why Liv never said? Or had she been jealous of Aurelia?

Could it be a possibility that she could have killed Aurelia?

Reece! Cheryl's voice snapped her from those dangerous thoughts. Liam just woke. Haul your ass out.

Liam was the scientist who usually came to the lab first. He was usually here by sharp four AM. The sleeping dart Cheryl had given him last night must have kicked in. She raised her head to see the digital clock show a clear six AM.

Quickly taking a print out of the paper in front of her, Reece switched off the computer and slipped out of the lab. Before she could leave, she took a room freshener and sprayed it as much as she could.

When her ears caught the sounds of some footsteps, she hastily slid the paper into her jeans pocket and walked out of the Science Sector.

She pulled the band that secured her hair and allowed the winds to tease it. The early morning sunlight filled her with a sense of ease. The birds still chirped a song that was unique to the West Pack.

Reece licked her lips as she walked past Nira, Andrew's mate who was on a phone. Nira gave her a smirk after she finished her call to which Reece politely smiled. Nira was not an ordinary female. From what she had gathered, Nira had been Harper's father's beta. This female was not someone to be taken lightly. Like Andrew had done.

Nira stepped towards her. Her snow-white hair and her electric green eyes announced the topography from where she had come from. Not to mention her pale white skin. This female Beta had her roots with an Elder in Winter Pack.

"Reece," Nira called, her voice cool and collected. "I need your service."

She licked her lips. "What is it?"

Nira's smile widened. "A vampire is coming. She is the head of fashion. I want you to welcome her."

She frowned. "May I ask at what time?"

"Within an hour," Nira said. "She hates to be kept waiting. Better hurry. It is not every day you can catch the sole owner of Shadowlife. When she comes, I want everything to be perfect."

Reece swallowed. "Why is she coming?"

"Why?" Nira said as if what she asked was the most stupid thing Nira had heard. "To design Alpha Harper's wedding dress of course."

**********

Before she could knock the door, it gave way beneath her. Mike was still sprawled on the bed with Sam sitting next to him. Cheryl was seeing something on her phone while Sam and Cat were arguing about something.

After opening the door, Cheryl locked her phone and sat down on her chair. "What is it, Reece?"

She threw the paper before them as she locked the door behind her. "This."

Cheryl was the first to take the paper. With just one glance, she froze. From her rigid fingers, Cat pried the paper and read the words. When her eyes finished scanning the paper twice, she too gasped and sat down.

Slowly the paper passed to Sam from whom it went to Mike.

He laughed bitterly. "Raoul is Cain's son? Liv is his mate?"

"Need not be," Sam muttered.

"They are," Cat whispered. "A female can go into Heat only after she meets her mate. She can conceive only with her mate during her Heat. Did Liv not say she became pregnant with Raoul during her Heat?"

"Shit!" Cheryl swore. "This is crazy! I never-"

"This is getting out of hand," Sam said. "I thought we could trust Liv."

"Seems like we can't," Cat said. "Not anymore."

"Is that why Aurelia died?" Mike asked in a hollow voice as he gave the paper back to Sam. "Did Liv kill her?"

Cheryl snorted. "I don't think Liv was that jealous. She genuinely liked Aurelia. She was the daughter of Gamma for Moon's sake."

"At this point," Mike said, a tear rolling down. "I don't give a damn."

Reece went ahead and gave Sam a look. Raising his hands, that male got up and gave her space. She hugged her mate.

He silently shook in her arms. "Have I let her down?"

"No. You haven't, my love," Reece said. "If Aurelia was here, she would kick your ass for hiding in your room all day. She would want you to come out and do what you do."

When Mike had heard Aurelia had died, he did not cry right away. It had struck him hard after two days he had heard the news.

Cheryl sighed. "What else, Gamma?"

"Nira asked me to welcome someone," Reece said, tightening her grip over her mate. "A Vampire who opened Shadowlife. She is apparently coming to design Harper's wedding dress and I have to go to our borders in half an hour."

"Harper's getting married?" Sam shouted.

"You mean, Zahra Lien is coming?" Cat shrieked. "Zahra Lien? As in the owner of Shadowlife?"

Sam blinked. "Who is Zahra Lien?"

Cat gasped. "Don't tell me you don't know her!"

Reece gave her a black look and Cheryl shrugged. "I don't know either."

"She was..." Reece began, thinking about a female who had been a part of their pack and had died due to some circumstances. "She was Likira Vade's best friend."

"Likira Vade as in, Warren Whyte's mate?" Cheryl asked.

Reece nodded. "The same."

"Monsters, that's what you all are!" Cat said. She then had a dreamy look on her face. "She is a legend! She opened Shadowlife with Likira Vade. When that werewolf died, Zahra released an entire series of dress in her honour."

"Who is this Likira Vade?" Sam asked. "I came to the capital just seventeen years ago. Don't expect me to know about this."

"Likira was a legend twenty years ago," Cheryl said. "An amazing female they say."

An amazing female she had been.

Her twin blinked. "So you do know a little about fashion."

Cheryl shook her head. "Likira Vade was the mate of Warren Whyte. Both of them were found dead on an Autumn night, after the death of their three-day-old baby, Chrys Vade."

Sam gasped. "Warren Whyte? That guy was a legend! He had been the Delta before and then shifted to the Science Sector. Everyone knows him. At least used to."

"You know him and not his mate?" Mike asked.

Sam shrugged. "When I was working in the lines, I rarely got any news. Don't blame me."

"I think that's why Zahra is coming," Cat said. "Because her best friend had been from this pack!"

Reece glanced at the clock and sighed. She had only twenty minutes. Making Nira wait was not a good thing.

She gently pried her mate's hands from her body. Mike whimpered. Don't go.

I am not going forever, Mike, she said. I have to greet Zahra.

He slumped his shoulders. I don't like it.

You were the head of warriors, Mike, she reprimanded him. This is not you.

He grumbled and let her go.

She gave them all a nod and swapped her flats for sneakers and headed out of the complex they had given her.

Nira was standing at the entrance as Reece exited the Packhouse.

"Is there anything else?" Reece asked.

"Nothing," Nira said sweetly. "I am accompanying you."

She swallowed. "Okay."

As they walked side by side, none of them said a word. Nira had her hands in the pockets of the black jacket she was wearing and she hummed a tune.

Slowly but steadily, they made their way to the Pack borders. Just as they reached, a matte black high profile car rolled in. The window of the driver seat was rolled down and a male was sitting.

"West Pack?" he asked.

Diagonally opposite to the driver in the back seat was a female. She was typing something fast on her laptop. Her brown hair was pinned in a bun and few strands were out of the pin, as though she had taken them out after she had styled it.

In contrast to what she had expected, the female was dressed in black formal pants with a light grey shirt. Her black coat was carelessly thrown on the space next to her.

Was this female Zahra? Though Reece had been Likira's friend, she had never met Zahra Lein.

"Yes," Nira replied. "I am Nira, the Delta of this pack."

A streak of fire ran through her. To Reece, there would be only one Delta to the West Pack. And she was not here. Her beast clawed the human skin to taste that imposter's blood. But she quelled the anger. It was that burning wrath Nira wanted. Reece would never give her that pleasure.

The female slowly looked up. Her brown eyes were deep and mysterious.

"Nira?" she asked, her like the upper reaches of a mountain, cool and unapproachable. "Delta? I have never heard such a name before."

A faint blush spread over her cheeks. "I come from Alpha Harper's Pack."

"And what pack does Alpha Harper belong to?" she asked.

"Al-Alpha Jackson's pack," Nira said.

"Not one of the Eight Packs?" the vampire asked in a condescending tone. "Is West Pack that desperate?"

She felt Nira tense next to her, but the so-called Delta of West Pack kept to her silence.

The vampire huffed. She looked at her driver. "Drive ahead. I want to see this great Alpha Harper is and that audacious behaviour of her to summon me."

Raising the glass, the car rolled in. Nira was fuming next to her, while Reece was having a hard time controlling her laughter. Was that female Zahra Lien? If so, Reece loved her. After all, there was a reason why Zahra and Likira had been friends.

"I dare you to say this to anyone," Nira snarled.

She held back her words. Had Reece been a part of West pack, she would have been affected by Nira's commanding voice. Seeing that she did not have ties here, Reece could only pretend that she had.

"I did not dream of saying this to anyone," Reece said while replaying the scene to Cheryl and Catherine.

While Cheryl grinned, Cat was laughing. She could hear Sam ask her why she was laughing so bad.

She did not say now, did she? Had she not kept her promise?

Grumbling, Reece followed that female werewolf. The return walk was filled with Nira complaining. She just sewed her mouth and listened to everything Nira was saying.

Apparently, it was Daisy, Harper's adoptive sister who had invited Zahra. When Zahra had confirmed, she had sent Nira.

"By the Moon, I wish my mate was here!" Nira said bitterly. "Is he not the one to understand me correctly?"

Reece's blood froze. Was it not Nira who had reported about Andrew to Harper? Now she was complaining that Andrew was not here? What more! Rumours were there that she had multiple lovers and the one with whom she spent the most time with was Harold.

"Is he not?" Nira asked again. "Reece, aren't you mated? Can you tell me?"

Reece blinked. While she did want to help the poor girl from the torment that swirled in her green eyes, she did not want to betray Andrew. She had known Andrew for a long time and it was because of this female he was on the run. She could just wish he would meet Lyra soon.

"Tell you what, Delta?" Reece said, walking ahead. "Aren't you mated too?"

********

She had come to Pack's office block just in time. The car came to a soft stop before the gates and the driver immediately came out and opened the door for the female.

Zahra stepped out gracefully like dew at dawn, misting and trickling down the longleaf. She slung her coat over her left shoulder and carried her handbag in her right hand.

Although she was tall herself, she had worn heels and Reece guessed it would be at least seven inches. It was the way she held herself that made Reece respect and admire her. Her back was poised yet stiff. Her body relaxed yet alert. Her reed-like figure looked like she was made for the runways.

Giving her driver a nod, she walked near the gates. Seeing the biometrics, she rose an eyebrow.

Immediately, Nira, who had been walking behind her, rushed forwards and pressed her thumb against the scanner.

The door opened and a young wolf came to greet her. Reece knew him. Carl had been a bright student who wanted to delve further into the realm of physics. Lyra had been the one to support him. When she had been banished, it was this young population who had suffered the most. They had not been called to the arena that day. Had they been called, Reece knew the outcome would have been different. Carl would have no doubt followed his muse.

His brown eyes flickered between the three females before landing on the vampire.

He bowed to her. "Welcome, Miss Lien. I am Carl Blink. I am Alpha Ethan's assistant. I am here to escort you to the office."

She gave him an unimpressed look. "Miss Lien? Do you know who you are talking with?"

"M-miss Lien?" his voice shook.

"I am Silas Verda's mate," Zahra said. "Ring a bell?"

Oh! Now it rang a bell alright. Silas Verda was one of the few to be acknowledged by the Royals. He could have had any one of four Great Covens itself and no one could question him. That was how powerful Silas Verda was. Where the Royals could not go with their badges, it was Silas' people who would go. His direct connection with the Royals made him so much more powerful.

"Si-si-si-"

"Yes," Zahra said in an annoyed tone. "Now, were you sent to escort me or stall me?"

Carl's eyes widened as he led the way. Nira had left them the second she heard Zahra tell her mate's name. With having no work to do, Reece followed them. No one said she could not.

The Alpha's office took an entire floor. The elevator chimed and all three got in. The female vampire was yet to acknowledge her. It had bothered her in the start, now, she could brush it off.

The ping of the elevator said they had reached the floor. A young werewolf stood at the reception. She raised her head when they came in.

Before Zahra could open the door, the young female came out of her cubicle and shook her head furiously. "The Alphas said not to disturb them."

At her words, Zahra's lips curled in disgust. "Is this why the Alpha called me in? To insult me?"

Without paying any attention to the receptionist, Zahra went ahead and opened the room.

The second the door was opened, Reece regretted following the female vampire. A strong scent of arousal hit her hard. The two Alphas were in a compromising position.

Harper was on the desk, her skirt raised till her waist. Few buttons of her shirt were popped open and her hair was dishevelled. Ethan's shirt was on the floor and he was standing between Harper's legs, dry humping. His mouth was sucking her neck and both of them were lost to the lust that they failed to see their entry. An Alpha must be alert all times. No matter what.

Seeing them, disgust crawled her skin. This guy had made her friend's life miserable. He had made sure she would never recover from the trauma and now he was enjoying a fuckfest with his new conquest? Had it not been for the three people next to her, Reece was sure she would have ripped Ethan's throat and she would be grinning while doing so.

"Rich," Zahra commented. "Really rich."

At her words, Harper snapped out of her lust and pushed Ethan away. She then glared at her receptionist. "I thought I told you not to allow anyone in."

While the young girl whimpered, Zahra rose her eyebrow. "Never in my life have I been insulted so much."

Harper barely bothered to fix herself. Ethan zipped his pant and picked his shirt.

"And you are?" Harper's tone was bossy. "A Royal? An Omicron? Anyone worth mentioning?"

She narrowed her eyes. "I am Zahra Lien, the youngest daughter of Epsilon Bane of Southern Coven, mate of Silas Verda. Owner of Shadowlife."

Harper sputtered and Reece had never seen anything more beautiful than that. She sent a small prayer of gratitude to Amaris for allowing her to see this.

"Oh!" Harper got off the desk and fixed herself. When Ethan buttoned his shirt, she smiled. "I am sorry. I am Alpha Harper, mate of Alpha Ethan-"

"I have had enough lies for a day." Zahra waved her free hand. "I want to know what rights did you possess to call me? To insult me? Do you want to know what will happen if I took this personally? Trust me, your pack will be in ashes by next morning."

"M-miss Lien!" Harper exclaimed, but there was a gleam in her eyes that made Reece shiver. "You will not take this personally, will you?"

Zahra rolled her eyes. "I wonder why did I even bother to come here. Alpha Charles and Violet are so much better. Damn me! How can I even compare you with them?"

Harper's eyes flashed, but it was Ethan who spoke. "Look here, female. I don't care who you are-"

Before he could finish his sentence, Zahra just flicked her wrist and Ethan was thrown back a few feet.

"You should care," Zahra said. "Especially if the female before you is telekinetic."

Then without a strain in her muscle, she lifted Harper. "Another time you decide to insult someone, remember the mercy I am showing you now. If we ever meet again, Harper, run the other way. I have enough anger to just collapse that little aorta of yours."

Dropping her down, Zahra walked out.

"You!" Harper screeched at Reece. "How dare you do nothing! You ungrateful bastard! Why are you here? Where the fuck is Nira? You-"

Harper choked. She fisted her hands and hit the floor, but the hold on her throat was relentless.

Zahra walked towards them and put a hand over Reece's shoulder. "Insult her."

The command was simple, cool and clear. But even her hairs stood up hearing the tone with which Zahra spoke.

"Insult her," Zahra said walking towards the Alpha pair.

Ethan stood up. He looked at Carl. "Show her the way out please."

Zahra sneered. "I know my way here, pup. I did not come here to be insulted. I will remember this and know when I say you will regret finding an enemy with me."

Zahra strode out, pulling Carl and Reece, leaving the receptionist inside. With another flick of her wrist, the door closed. Taking a deep breath, Zahra got in the elevator.

She saw Carl and saw the same hesitancy in his eyes.

"Aren't you both not going to get in?" Zahra asked.

Willing her legs to work fast she got in the elevator before the boy. The doors closed.

Reece held her breath. Who was to say how her mood was? Now she knew how much a formidable enemy Zahra would make.

"I won't hurt you," Zahra chuckled softly. "Do you think I would hurt anyone from Alpha Lyra's pack?"

Reece spluttered. "W-wh-what?"

Zahra laughed. "You belong to her pack, right?"

Reece's eyes widened. Where was this female going?

Carl breathed. "Lyra? Alpha Lyra?"

Zahra nodded. "I met her. Quite an interesting female. No doubt, she would be a great Alpha. Especially with those people around her."

Words fled her mind. It could understand what Zahra was saying, but for the life of her, she could not find a response.

"When it comes to choosing," Zahra said softly. "I would choose her over this pack any day. I just came to see who that female was who dared to steal a mate. Harper is not worthy of her title."

Before Reece could make her brain work, the doors opened and Zahra walked out.

"Want me to show... around?" she offered.

Zahra shook her head. "I know where the dead are buried in this pack. It is time I met an old friend of mine."

*********

After Zahra walked away, Carl gulped next to her. "You are in... her pack?"

Reece nodded curtly. "Yes."

"Can I join-"

"No," she snapped. "Why do you think Andrew is on the run? Not another word. When things become easier, I will find you."

His face fell. "I understand."

As much as she could not see him disheartened, it was the only way to protect him.

Sighing, she walked towards the packhouse. Her head was bursting with the urge to say it all out to her mate. She just wanted to cuddle with him and see a movie.

She had skipped her breakfast and if she made it to the kitchen, the ones who were on the duty to cook may give her an early lunch.

Humming a song, she pressed her thumb against the biometrics and the doors slid. She skipped and hopped the hallways.

Greg, who was a warrior under Mike smiled. "In a good mood?"

"Never been better," she commented as she passed many others who gave her a weird look.

In the huge drawing room, Nira was working with a laptop. When the Delta saw her, Nira narrowed her eyes. "What got you in a good mood?"

"Can't I be happy that our Alpha is getting married?" Reece said sweetly. Did this bitch think she could take away her happiness? "Harper is... a radiant bride, after all."

At her words, many gasps came from the people in the room. Their eyes flickered between Reece and Nira. Finally, they surrounded Nira and began questioning. Nira gave her a murderous look before a sea of people separated them.

Chuckling darkly to herself, Reece made her way to the kitchen.

Reece? Mike called. Where are you?

On my way to the kitchen, she replied.

Food? He asked.

Yep.

I already got for you, he said, momentarily allowing her to see through his eyes. He held a plate of spaghetti. Come fast.

You're the best, she grinned and changed her course.

Mike was the best mate anyone could ask for. As much as a stone-cold warrior he appeared to the warriors, only she knew the cheesy and the soft side of his. He was someone who cried when a book ended sadly and spoke about a book he loved with a passion.

Yes, he was a warrior. One of the best West Pack had. No one had said they could not read, had they?

On her way to her room through the deserted hallways, she heard a moan. A plea.

When the voice was familiar, something snapped in her. Even if she had betrayed them, she was someone Reece used to know. She would not allow her in danger.

With that thought, she opened the unlocked door to be frozen.

Inside was Liv passionately kissing a male. Their hands were frenzied and clothes were crumpled.

As much as she did not want to see the male, she knew who he was with his scent. But the second she had opened the door, they had stopped their kiss and he turned.

Cain's green eyes pierced her. He growled possessively and hid Liv behind him. At least he got the thought to hide his female's modesty, unlike a certain Alpha.

"What are you doing here?" Cain snarled.

She ignored the Beta of this pack. "L-Liv?"

Liv cast her eyes down. "Cain is my mate."

Why could she not believe it even now? Even when she saw the proof herself? Why did her friend choose him over Lyra?

"Is- is he threatening you?" Reece asked as she took a step forward in spite of Cain's warning growl. "I-is he forcing you?"

"By the Moon, Reece!" Liv exclaimed as she fixed herself. "He is my mate. I love him. He is the father of my child! He is not forcing me into anything."

The document that she had seen earlier this morning was correct after all. Look at her, doubting science and trusting emotion.

"H-how could you?" she cried. "You betrayed us!-"

She knew she was giving it away, but this black, bitter rage was getting the best of her. Her hands morphed to claws. Her beast demanded blood for making their Alpha suffer.

"Take care of what you speak, Reece," Cain warned again. "I will not be held responsible if anything were to happen to you."

"I don't care!" she shouted. "I liked Raoul better when you lied he was born to a human. You are the true betrayer here, Liv. You came here twenty years ago and threw Lyra out, did you not? You managed to kill Aurelia and now... what do you want?"

"I never intended Aurelia to die!" Liv fired back. She moved from her mate's protective stance. "I warned her not to provoke Harper that day. She went ahead and did it. I tried to stop Harper, but she would not listen."

"Oh!" Reece sneered. "Is that supposed to make me feel better after this betrayal? If you want to hurt Lyra, then you are wrong. She is a much better place with-"

Before she could finish her words, Cain's hands were at her throat. "I dare you to say another word."

She choked and she could feel Mike's panic. Knowing if he came here it would cause havoc, she blocked their connection.

"Not another word against my mate," Cain said with a deathly stillness. "Not another word about that deranged female who claims to be my sister."

Just as he released her, Harper and Ethan entered the room.

Seeing her, Ethan's face twisted. "What happened?"

"She intruded our privacy," Cain said jerking his head towards Livvia. "I was about to kill her."

Ethan huffed. "She intruded ours too. But too bad, Zahra was with her."

Harper then said, "Get out, Reece. What I am going to speak with my Beta pair is not for your ears."

With the little dignity she had, she dragged herself out of the room, not before giving Liv a glare of hatred. Instead of reciprocating, Liv gave her a small smile. Her eyes appeared to house a thousand secrets, secrets her lips never breached.

Coughing, Reece closed the door behind her as she slowly walked towards her room. She should have minded her own business, should she have not?

She tried to contact Lyra, but she did not have the energy to.

Sighing, she stopped making the connection to save her energy.

When Lyra contacted her, the first thing she would say to her would be about Raoul's parents.

What do you think of Nira?

Of Zahra?
