Back to Lucy and Minora
Minora and Lucy were walking on the hallway. Lucy kept her head down; Minora was just looking at her.
“I’m sorry Lucy, if Lord Arthur ordered me something, I can’t do anything but obey”, Minora said in a sad face.
They entered Lucy’s bedroom. Minora helped Lucy out of her current outfit and helped her dry her hair. She was combing Lucy’s hair and all those times, Lucy was out of her sanity. Her mind was drifting off to somewhere, thinking deeply.
“Lucy? I’m really sorry”, Minora apologized as she continue to brush.
“M…my keys. Please return my keys. You have them don’t you? You took them from me before we entered the hall”, Lucy asked Minora. Minora bit her lip, she took out Lucy’s keys which was held inside Crucis and gave it to Lucy. Lucy grabbed her keys and hugged it closely to her chest. “Sorry, I really can’t stay still without my keys. I…you know what? I’m really pathetic”, Lucy said as she looked down and frustrated, hands still gripping tightly to her cherished keys. Minora instantly looked at her.
“You really love those keys. You use them as a weapon right? Your magic, what does it called again? Celestial Magic?”, Minora asked.
“I don’t use them as weapons, I fight together with them. They’re my first comrades even before I joined the guild. I summon the gates of celestial spirits with these. With these keys, I can create a connection to the spirit world that’s why I must always have them, without them, I’m useless”, Lucy explained still looking down.
“L…Lucy”, Minora said. “Oh, I’ve been meaning to ask you this, why did you entered your guild and left home?”, Minora asked, trying to be cheerful to forget the gloomy atmosphere. Lucy looked at her suddenly. Minora backed herself a bit realizing what she just asked.
“Fo…forgive me, I didn’t mean to pry or intrude to your personal matters”, Minora apologized.
“It’s okay. You see, it’s just that, you were the first one to ask me that. Alright, I’ll tell it to you”, Lucy smiled. They sat on the bed comfortably. “Ever since I was a child, I wanted to be a wizard just like my Mom. I wasn’t in good terms with my Dad since Mom passed away so I sort of asked for it in any way possible. I almost had an accident when I was about five years old, the carriage I’m riding suddenly got wild because the coachman, Mrs. Spetto and the other maids bought something and left me alone inside. I really thought I was going to die, but, there was someone who stopped the carriage. I never met that person, I only knew she was a woman and the only thing I saw from the small window of the carriage, she has a guild mark at her right hand. That’s when I read on magazines that the mark she has was from Fairy Tail. That’s when I decided that when I had an opportunity to leave home, I’ll definitely join Fairy Tail!”, Lucy explained. Minora was listening attentively.
“Wait, that mark on your hand, that’s….”, Minora pointed Lucy’s hand.
“Yep, I had the guild mark me on the same spot!”, Lucy happily said showing her right hand with the guild mark to Minora.
“Oh, but wait, you left home didn’t you?”, Minora asked.
‘Well, yeah”, Lucy awkwardly answered.
“Why did you leave? I mean, you had all the things you could ask for right?”, Minora asked.
“Well, I never asked anything like that. Ever since my mother died, my father didn’t pay any attention to me. I hated him for that. He was always in his study, writing and stamping. He never even looks at me. I left home for that. I journeyed to Magnolia and look for Fairy Tail. You know what? I always get into trouble wherever I go. I almost got traded by a dark guild because of my search for Fairy Tail. Their leader pretended to be the famous Salamander of Fairy Tail and assured my recruitment on the guild that’s why I came with them”, Lucy said.
“So, what happened?”, Minora asked excitedly.
“Natsu saved me”, Lucy smiled at the memory. “He and Happy rescued me when I was on a boat with the fake Salamander. You should have seen him! He acted so cool when he descended by breaking off the roof but reacted pathetically afterwards because of his motion sickness”, Lucy laughed. Minora broke out into laughter as well.
“Now, that might be a sight to see! Salamander? He’s the one I fought right? The fire mage who looked like an idiot?”, Minora pointed out.
“Well, Natsu can be stupid sometimes but he’s strong and very gentle especially to everyone in the guild! He always has Happy by his side. He even asked me to be part of his team because it looks like he’s the only one who hasn’t got one. He also loves everyone in the guild and treats them as family. He never leaves his friends behind and if someone’s in trouble, he’ll always be there to help them out no matter what obstacles he may face. He saved my life thrice now, no, maybe more? And you know what? He was always driven by his rage. Whenever he feels like fighting someone, sometimes he’ll start a fight with Gray or Erza, challenging them just to see how strong he is. Come to think of it, he also asks me to fight with him too, not that I’m really looking forward to it. He can also be a pervert sometimes, but he’s so innocent that he didn’t even know what he’s doing. He just barge inside my room all the time and he never even bother to try and use the door. You’ll just see him barging through the window with Happy behind”, Lucy bombarded Minora as she share her experiences. “Oh and you know? Natsu is…..”, Lucy cut-off.
“Heh? Is that so?”, Minora interrupted and eyed Lucy teasingly.
“Eh? Wha-what’s with that look now?”, Lucy stopped and looked at Minora questioningly.
“I’ll return you’re words this afternoon. You llllike him do you?”, Minora rolled her tongue, imitating Lucy’s tease.
“Wh..what?!! No! It’s not! Well…anyway he’s just a close friend!”, Lucy stumbled for words. She feels her cheek burning.
“Heh, close eh? How close?”, Minora teased more.
“Now that’s! Ahh it’s not like that alright!”, Lucy said a little annoyed. She can really feels her face burning hot like Natsu has just burned that part.
“Oh really? Then why are you blushing?”, Minora just love teasing Lucy this time. Her eyebrows were rising with anticipation.
“Eh? Blushing? Me? That must be the light!”, Lucy excused.
“Oh right? That look says otherwise”, Minora smiled. Lucy blushed ten times of red.
It took them half a minute before Lucy started to talk. Minora was still smiling at Lucy’s reaction.
“By the way, it’s your turn”, Lucy suddenly said.
“Turn? To what?”, Minora asked.
“Your turn to share”, Lucy said. Minora looked down as she try to reminisce her past.
The two talked and shared their past experiences, Lucy widened her eyes and tears started to roll in her cheeks for two times. Minora was crying as well. They were so engrossed with their talk that they got startled when they heard footsteps outside the room.
“Hurry! They should be on the north side! We’ll need more men!”, Lucy can hear the shouting and ruckus from outside.
“What’s happening?”, Lucy asked standing instantly from the bed.
“I’ll go check”, Minora stood from the bed and was heading for the door when…..
BOOM!
An explosion can be heard not far away from the mansion. Lucy can see a giant fireball and smoke. She ran towards the window.
“The storehouses, something must have exploded”, Minora said as she looked together with Lucy from the door.
“It can’t be!”, Lucy gasped.
“Lucy? What is it?”, Minora asked looking questioningly at Lucy.
Lucy’s face lit up with hope and a smile crept up her face. She saw the damage caused on the northern part of the Mansion. She knew exactly who did it. These kinds of damage are familiar to her for sometimes she took part on doing the damages herself; especially on missions.
“It’s them! I can’t be mistaken!”, Lucy blurted out.
“What do you mean? Them?”, Minora asked still standing on the door.
“It’s Natsu and the others! I’m sure of it!”, Lucy turned with a very sincere smile. Her face filled with hope before turning around back on looking outside the window.
“As I thought! If it was him, he can really do it!”, Minora thought. “However, no matter how strong he is, my Lord will never let him take Lucy back. Lucy, I’m sorry”, Minora silently walked towards Lucy who turned around to look at Minora once more.
“Minora, I told you Natsu and the others….”, Lucy trailed-off, her eyes widened as she felt the impact. She was punched in the gut and she fell unconscious.
