We sat there in Mr Shue's apartment for hours, I have never cried so much in my life. It was the night of regionals. We were standing in the green room room listening to the announcer.
(Announcer) (over p.a) "And now, our panel of judges. He's an international musical sensation, a platinum recording artist 20 times over, the inimitable Mr. Josh Groban! She's a four-time Grammy winner who starred in the highest-grossing movie musical of all time, Ms. Olivia Newton-John! He's a two-time local Emmy winner and broadcasting icon, WOHN news anchor Rod Remington! She is fresh off her fifth consecutive National Cheerleading Title and author of the soon-to-be-published memoir, I'm A Winner and You're Fat, Ohio's home-grown iconoclast, Coach Sue Sylvester! And now, our first performance of the evening, from Westvale High in scenic Fort Wayne, Indiana, Aural Intensity!"
Aural Intensity started singing and I tried to block them out. I was way to sad to listen to them.
(Puck) "A mash up of Olivia Newton-John and Josh Groban. Are you kidding me?! Somebody tipped them off about the judges."
(Rachel) "Guys, we can't get distracted by what the other teams are doing."
(Finn) "We just got to keep our heads in the game and focus."
(Mia) "Even though we know we can't win?"
(Mr Shue) "Yes. If this is only about winning for you guys, then I owe you all an apology, because I've failed you. And we should just all go home, because it means we've already lost. Besides,we have got something that the other groups don't."
Artie then wheels over to Mr Shue.
(Artie) "What?"
(Mr Shue) "Finn's dancing. Right? Come on. Now let's get out there. We got two minutes. Aural Intensity's almost finished. Bring it in. Come on. Come on. Let's go, go, go, go, go and..."

(Announcer) (over p.a) "Ladies and Gentleman, our second competitors, winner of the Central Ohio Sectional, McKinley High's New Directions!" On the announcers signal, I hear Finn start to sing.
Finn:

Just before I got on stage I saw more older brother, Derek.
(Mia) "Derek. Long time no see. I don't even see you at home anymore."
Derek smirked at me
(Derek) "Hey sis. Sorry that I don't see you much at all."
(Mia) "That thing your group did to us and Rachel including Jesse was really mean. Have a nice life."
(Derek) "Sis wait I am sorry!"
I ignore him and join the others on stage and we all start to sing.
