“I. AM. SO. EXCITED.” Kory exclaimed walking towards the parking lot. “Are you not?”
“What’s so exciting about going in a freaking deserted area for a photo shoot? I so don’t wanna go. I think, I’ll tell Mr. Roberto to replace me with someone else.”
“Still not over with the Zayn thingy huh?”
“I am over it. We already sorted things out.”
“Then what’s the problem? Why don’t you wanna go?”
“I just don’t want to.”
“Oh, I know the perfect way to allure you to come to the shoot.”
“And what would that be.” I asked with an eye brow raised
“My famous puppy face.” He said making a puppy face which looked more like a retarded ducks face.
“That’s a horrible puppy face.” I said rolling my eyes but he kept doing that.
“Oh it’s the best you can ever see girl.”
“Kory stop it already. It’s freaking me out.”
“No not until you say you’re going with us.”
“AHHHH, okay I’m coming.”
“Yay, I knew you couldn’t resist the puppy face.”
“Whatever floats your boat.” I said unlocking my car’s door.
“Let’s goooooo.” Kory said getting on the passenger’s seat.
“Get off dude. You are driving today.” I said throwing him the keys.
“Bee-octh.” He grumbled and got on the driver’s seat.
“Slut” I said and dialed Uwasis’s number getting inside the car.
“Kory I am calling Uwasis so keep your frigging mouth shut.” I warned him.
“Yeah whatever?” he said driving.
“It’s ringing, ringing, ringing, it’s ringing, ringing, ringing.”
“Kory would you stop that.” I snapped.
“Hey what did I do?”
“Shut up.”
Uwasis didn’t pick up so I called him again.
“It’s ringing ringing ringing it’s ringing ringing, it’s ringing ringing ringing.” Kory sang again.
I just ignored him. Uwasis is still not picking up. Hope he okay. I dialed his number again.
“It’s still ringing. What’s that kid doing not answering you call.”
“I don’t know.” I said dialing again and finally he answer.
“Baby, what took you so long?” I said
“Sorry but who is it?” Someone asked
“Umm. Is this not Uwasis’s number?” I asked
“Yes, it is?”
“Then who is speaking?” I asked
“It’s his Dad.”
“Oh, uncle. It’s me Zara.”
“Oh”
“Uncle where’s Uwasis?” I asked
“He’s not here. Maybe he’s out with Brandon.”
“Oh, can you tell him I called and ask him to call me back when he comes back.”
“Did you have something to tell him?”
“Actually, I did.”
“Tell me and I will tell him.”
“Umm, okay just wanted to tell him that I am going on a photo shoot for 4 days.”
“Good, I’ll tell him.”
“Okay uncle, see ya and tell him I called.” I said and without any answer the line was cut off. Strange with a capital S.
“His dad answered the phone.” Kory asked. I nodded.
“Why?”
“He said Uwasis left his cell. He’s with Brandon should I call him”
“As you wish.”
“It’s ringing ringing ringing . It’s ringing ringing, ringing.”
”Kory would you stop that already.” I yelled.
“I love doing that.”
“I hate you.” I said
“You hate me.” Brandon asked. I didn’t even notice that he answered the call.
“Hey Brandon, no not you. I was saying that to Kory.”
“And why were you telling him that.”
“Oh, he was being an ass.”
“Hey, I was not.” Kory said with a pout.
“Yeah right.”
Brandon chuckled.
“So ah Brandon, Can you pass the phone to Uwasis.”
“Uwasis? But he’s not here.”
“He’s not.”
“No”
“But uncle told me he was with you.”
“We have not met for days.”
“ Really? But uncle was telling me he was with you.”
“No, he’s not. Maybe he’s out somewhere. Do you want me to call him?”
“I called him but his dad has his cell. He forgot it in his house,”
“Oh, did you have anything to tell him about?
“Actually yeah, I had to.”
“Can I know it. If you don’t mind telling me.”
“I don’t mind idiot. See, I am going on a 4 day photo shoot. So, I won’t be able to meet him or call him because I’ll be really busy. I just wanted to tell him that.”
“When are you going?”
“The day after tomorrow.”
“ Oh, where’s the photo shoot taking place.?”
“In some deserted area.”
He chuckled.
“Take care and don’t miss me too much.” He said
“Trust me, I won’t.” I said laughing.
“I’m hurt.” He fake sighed
“LOL”
“Have fun and bring me back some gifts.”
“Your wish my command. Buh-bye. See ya.”
“See ya and I’ll try calling him.” He said and hung up.
Brandon’s pov
Damn I love this girl. Too bad she’s my best friend’s girl. I wish I could have mustered up my courage and asked her out first. What can I do now? I missed the chance but I would do anything to have her...
I dialed Uwasis’s number and someone answered it, probably his dad.
“Hey what’s up man?”
“Uwasis?” I asked surprised. He doesn’t have his cell phone does he?
“Yea it’s me. Why do you sound so surprised?”
“I thought you left your cell in your home.”
“No I have not. What makes you say that?”
“Zara told me you had.”
“Who told her that?”
“Your dad. She said your dad told her that you left your cell in your house and you’re over my house.”
“That’s totally awkward.”
“I know right.”
“Why did she call?”
“She said she was going on a photo shoot for four days.”
“What? She is going for four days. What am I going to do for those 4 days?”
I was thinking the same.
“You have me dude.”
“You sound like a gay.”
“I am a gay for you baby.” I tease
“Shut up man.”
“Okay okay. I’ll see ya around.” I said and hung up.
Uwasis is in his house so why did uncle tell Zara that he was not in the house and over mine. It’s strange.
