the sounds of voices everywhere
doesn't assure me that i am alive.
the sounds of footsteps nearby
doesn't assure me that
i am not alone.
The touch of a hand on my shoulder
doesn't assure me that
it's my friend.
I don't think i recall,
ever been surrounded with many friends
yet i'm still feeling lonely.
It's crazy for i have a lot of friends
yet none of them can be there for me.
i don't want to talk, because
i don't want to hear words
that won't help me get better.
But my heart is screaming every minute of the day.
i think i need to see you soon
to get better and redeem myself.
but what happens when you too,
won't be a friend to me?
will that be the time that i'll be losing myself?
