we walk around the biltmore hotel, exploring for sam and colby's video
the only reason i'm here is because they all begged me until i gave in
we walk down the hallway, talking pretty loudly for it being so late, but there's hardly anyone here
i hold jake's hand as corey talks to colby about a bunch of things he read, sam recording all of us
we make a turn, following the sign for presidential suite
colby puts the key card in, opening the door to a dark room
i get the chills as corey points out that it looks like the entrance of the trap house
i grip onto jake's arm as we all walk around, turning on the lights
"could you squeeze my arm any tighter?" he asks, laughing
i playfully roll my eyes, letting go of him "i didn't want to come in the first place"
he laughs "i know baby. i was kidding"
i cross my arms, looking at him
he opens his arms, giving me a big smile
i can't help but smile, walking into his arms, hugging him tightly
"woah, there's a staircase" sam screams
we all run over to see a creepy, spiral staircase in the middle of a room with an almost pinkish light
"who's gonna go down fir-" colby pauses, watching jake run down "i guess jake is"
"i'll protect you, y/n" colby says, offering me his hand as corey follows jake
i laugh, taking it as he leads me down the staircase, sam following
we turn on all the lights, stopping in front of an outdated elevator
"wow, look" jake says, opening the metal gate, stepping inside the wooden elevator
sam, colby, and corey follow as i read the instructions out loud, sam doing what i say
i close the gate and the door, sitting on the ground, my back against the wall, as i wait to see if it still works
it make a bunch of sound and they start freaking out, obviously not moving
they open the door and metal gate, walking out
"y/n?" jake asks, looking around, panicked "dude, a ghost ate my girlfriend"
"you are seriously so stupid" colby says, pointing to me
jake looks at me, relieved
i laugh, standing up, patting his chest "you are silly"
he smiles proudly "i knew you were there"
"sure you did" colby says sarcastically, making me laugh again
we make our way back upstairs, exploring the suite more
after we looking around for a while, we make our way out of the room, starting to explore
jake holds my hand, swinging our arms like a little kid, making me laugh
"you are literally so childish" colby states, playfully "y/n, how do you stand him?"
i shrug "i don't find him annoying like you do"
sam and corey laugh as jake playfully scowls at colby who throws his hands up in surrender
we turn at the end of the hallway, walking down to the bottom of the staircases, walking through a creepy looking door
"woah, we're in the ballroom" sam says
"one of them" colby adds
"i just got the chills" corey says
"me too" i say
"look, there's chandeliers" jake says, pointing at them
i giggle "yes, babe, i see them"
"i feel like i'm babysitting" colby whines
jake rolls his eyes at him "at least i'm having fun, while you're just standing there, criticizing me"
colby takes a step forward as i stand in between them
"we're not doing this again" i say, looking at the both of them
"colby, look over here with me" sam says, walking over to a different ballroom, corey following them
i place my hand on jake's chest, catching his attention
"baby, just ignore him and have fun, okay?"
he nods, smiling, leaning down to kiss my lips
he then pulls me into him, both of us swaying from side to side
i laugh "what are you doing?"
"it's a ballroom. traditionally, people dance in them" he says, twirling me
i can't stop laughing as he joins in, twirling me again and again before dipping me
when i'm right side up again, i see the boys standing and watching us
"leave it to jake and y/n to have fun in a haunted place" sam says, laughing
corey laughs with him, agreeing as he make our way back out of the ballroom, walking up the stairs and randomly walking until we find a gym
colby stands in the machine, hooking his hands in the straps, pulling the weights, making a funny face
when we walks away from it, jake jumps, holding onto the bar above it, hooking his feet in the straps, pulling them together and letting them fall apart
"there is no way you get pussy if you act like that all the damn time" colby says, laughing, as we watch jake stretch his legs on the machine
"i get pussy. tell him, y/n" jake says, making my cheeks heat up
colby looks at me, raising his eyebrow as if he's actually waiting for an answer
i playfully punch his arm "i'm not answering that question"
"that means yes" sam says, quietly
i feel my cheeks grow warmer as jake jumps off the machine, pulling me into a hug
"sorry for embarrassing you" he says
i laugh, pulling away "it's fine"
we make our way back to the presidential suite, all of us getting tired
i enter the suite, following jake to the piano
he lifts the cover, resting his hands over the keys
i laugh "you don't know how to play"
he looks up at me, smiling "no, but you do"
i shrug
"play my favorite song. please"
i smile "okay"
i rest my hands on the keys for a minute before playing the soft tune that jake seems to love so much
as i play, he wraps an arm around my waist, resting his head on my shoulder, making me smile as he watches my fingers move
when the song ends, everyone claps, making me jump slightly
"that was so good, y/n" colby says
"i didn't know you could play" corey says
i blush "i play when i can"
"it was beautiful" sam adds
"thank you"
jake yawns before laughing "i'm tired now, damn"
"remind me to ask you to play that again later when we need jake to calm down" colby teases
i laugh "will do"
we walk to the living room, plopping down on the furniture in front of the tv
jake and i share a couch, colby and sam share the other couch, and corey takes the chair

after eating our mcdonald's that we got through postmates, we all hang out on the couches, watching family guy
jake wraps his arms around me, pulling me onto his chest as he lays down, me laying between his legs
i play with his fingers for a while until he gets up to go to the bathroom
when he gets back, he lays between my legs, as i play with his hair
"guys, it's three am" sam says, turning his camera on
i groan, not wanting to do the seance
we slowly make our way to the dining room table, setting up the five candles and camera
jake sits on one side of the table, close to the camera as i sit on his other side
colby sits next to me. sam next to colby, and corey next to sam, on the other side of the table close to the camera
sam starts to explain what a seance is to the viewers, colby adding to it here and there
"i don't want to say anything" corey says
"me either" i add, starting to feel sick
"you don't have to, just keep your energy" jake says
we both nods as they start
after asking for a sign, waiting a few minutes, the candles almost completely blow out as if a gust of wind came through a window
we all jump up from the table, running into the living room where we were previously
everyone's saying stuff all at once, freaking out
i stay quiet as jake tries to calm everyone down
sam grabs the camera, explaining what happened and adding other details that they might've missed
after we finally calm down, sam says we'll see them at sunrise before turning the camera off again
jake lays on his stomach, wrapping both arms around my waist, closing his eyes as i play with his hair
a few minutes later, his soft snores fill the room
"it's amazing how calm and tired he gets when he's with you" colby says, shocked
i laugh lightly "he just feels comfortable with me, i guess. plus he loves when i play with his hair plus it relaxes me cause i always have the need to play with something"
sam laughs quietly "i like when kat plays with my hair too"
"i love when devyn braids my hair" corey adds, smiling widely
"i don't have a girlfriend to play with my hair" colby whines
i laugh "come here"
he smiles, sitting on the ground with his back against the couch, his head a little further down than jake's
i keep my left hand in jake's hair, moving my right hand to colby's playing with both of their hair at the same time
sam turns on the camera, filming us as corey records a video on his phone, posting it on his instagram story
"this is really relaxing" colby says, closing his eyes
i laugh lightly, playing with both of their hair until sunrise
"we can leave" sam says, filming the city out the window
colby stands up, fixing his hair after thanking me a million times
i place both my hands in jake's hair, pushing it out of his face
"baby" i say
his eyes flutter open as he smiles up at me
i giggle "morning"
he yawns "morning"
he stands up, stretching as i stand up, stretching as well
"too bad you were asleep. we had so much fun" sam says
jake furrows his eyebrows "with more spirits, or-?"
sam shakes his head laughing "i guess i should say colby had a lot of fun with y/n"
his head whips around, looking at colby who's smirking at him
jake looks at me "what happened?"
i laugh "relax baby. you were sleeping on me the whole time"
"then what happened?"
"she played with my hair" colby says with a smug smile
"why?" jake asks, confused
"because i didn't know what it felt like, so she volunteered"
jake looks like a kicked puppy "why would you do that?"
"baby, i was just playing with his hair, like i do to you"
"but-" corey cuts him off
"dude, look" he says, showing him the video he took
relief floods jake's face "oh, okay. that's not bad"
i playfully roll my eyes, laughing as he picks me up, twirling me around
"as much as i enjoy seeing you two happy. i want to get the hell out of here" sam says
we all agree, grabbing our stuff as we make our way to the lobby, checking out before getting in our cars, diving back to the house
sam and corey drive home with colby as jake and i drive home in his car, just like how we all arrived
"i can't believe you got butt hurt that i played with colby's hair" i say, laughing
he laughs "i wasn't fully away or aware of what they were talking about"
i nod "obviously"
"who's hair is better though?"
i smile "yours"
"why?"
i laugh "because it's soft and has color in it"
he smiles widely, satisfied with my answer
"i'm glad that you got that off your chest. now you know who has better hair between you and colby"
he laughs "i can't wait to rub it in his face. literally. i'm literally going to rub my hair in his face "
i laugh loudly, along with him as he reaches over to hold my hand
we blast tunes, singing loudly at five in the morning as we drive home
yeah, i want to marry this boy
