For the first time in a long time I actually woke up in my own bed I sat up To look at each side of me to see both Ally and Catie in the room with me safe and sound asleep. I picked my phone up off of my dresser unplugging it and walked toward my balcony of the room.
Wow I actually slept until one, that hasn't happened for a while. I clicked on Ryan's name and it started ringing, he answered quickly and said "good afternoon beautiful."
"Hey Ry Ry."
"How did you sleep love?"
"Not as good as I would have if I was with you, but I slept pretty good, any plans for today?"
"Actually yes. But you can't know about them, it's a surprise. Just meet me at my house okay baby?"
Well I have to know what kind of occasion this is so I know what to wear."
He grumbled into the phone. "Fine, I'll tell Ally the plans and she can show you what to wear, because I'm not a girl I have no clue what you would wear. Honestly you could show up in nothing and I wouldn't care."
I rolled my eyes "of course you wouldn't, what guy would?"
"One who doesn't like girls, or is blind."
I chuckled at his comment and said "I love you I'll see you.... At what time exactly?"
"Let's say around five thirty, and I love you too babe."
I hung up and walked back inside I already saw Ally's phone light up most likely that's Ryan texting her the details.
I walked into my bathroom to take a shower, I set my phone on my Ihome and turned up my music so I could hear it in the shower.
After about 15 to 20 minutes of shaving, washing my hair, and singing. I walked out into my room to find Catie and Ally arguing over clothes I looked down to see about 16 of my dresses spread across my bed. I looked up at both of them and said "what's the big deal?"
Ally looked over at Catie and said "well Catie thinks you should wear the pink dress and I think you should wear the blue one."
"Oh c'mon guys I'm not sleeping beauty, can't I just pick on out?"
"Nope! I can't tell you where you're going so you must have to settle with what I dress you in."
"Please you were never the wardrobe master anyways."
She gasped and put her hand on her chest and said "well excuse me me but I'm pretty sure I am, at least for today anyways."
"Okay guys new plan I'm going to be fair to the both of you, I'm going to wear this dress with the pink and blue in it... Happy now?"
Catie said "it's not the color we were arguing about it's the way the dresses are designed"
I slipped the dress on and they both smiled.
"Does it look good?"
"Good? Girl you look gorgeous. Damn I wish I would've suggested that one."
We all laughed and Catie pulled me into the bathroom making me sit down into a chair, she pulled out my curling wand and turned it on. Ally walked in with her one suitcase for just her makeup and lifted it up into the counter unzipping it to look at the contents in it.
Then all at once they started attacking my head, my hair was being pulled by the brush and I can't even begin to tell you about my face.
I just let them do their thing because at this point there was no stopping them.
Finally once my hair was perfectly curled and my makeup couldn't look any more perfect they both backed away just looking at me.
After about a minute of starring and no talking I stood up and walked away. "Thanks guys."
"Damn we made you look good! If this doesn't make him want to have sex with you I don't know what will."
I just looked over at Ally. "Seriously. That's what's going on in your head right now."
"Hey I don't want to hear it, he's probably thinking it too!"
"Even if he was I'm not going to do it unless it feels right." She rolled her eyes at my comment and threw a bottle of coconut lotion at me.
"Put it on, ain't nobody want to feel your ashy legs."
I looked down at my legs and looked back at her "I put lotion on every day, I doubt my legs are ashy."
"Will you stop fighting with me and just put it on! Damn. So complicated." She started walking away and her voice got more quite "I should be getting paid for this."
I giggled and slipped into my dress on for the second time since I didn't want to get any makeup on it, I pulled the one sleeve over my shoulder.
I walked over to the mirror and looked at myself. I was proud of Ally and Catie, because damn I looked good. I'm not one of those girls that are full of themselves either.
I walked over to my Jewelry box pulling out my long sliver dangly earrings, and my small silver stud earrings for my second hole. After I put them all in I walked over to my closet pulling out my silver heels that I've only happened to wear once.
I didn't want to wear them for just anything, I wanted them to be for special occasions. If this wasn't special to me I don't know what is.
I sat on my bed and just started thinking while I was waiting I couldn't help but smile just thinking about how good this summer has been for me. How happy Ryan has made me, I've never loved anyone before at least not like this.
Catie walked into the room "hey Emily."
"Hey Catie what's up?"
"Oh nothing I was just checking up on you, I wasn't expecting you to sit up here for another 15 minutes until he got here."
I looked down at my phone and just shook my head "how in the world is it already 5:15?"
"Well it took over an hour to do your hair, do you not realize how much hair you have! Like you can donate some to me anytime you would like!"
I just chuckled, I haven't known Catie for very long but I'm glad I met her.
I picked up my small silver clutch bag putting my wallet and my phone inside of it. Then I finally slipped on my heels buckling them around my ankles. I stood up feeling six inches taller, I walked toward my door, but I stopped myself and looked at Catie and hugged her.
"I'm so happy I met you Catie."
She didn't say anything back, she didn't have to, she just hugged me back harder.
I walked downstairs and out my door to already see Ryan leaning up against a car.
I looked him up and damn did he look nice, I haven't seen him so dressed up before he usually was wearing swim trunks or just simple workout shorts. He was wearing khakis and a blue button down shirt that wasn't buttoned up all the way.
He smiled and opened up the car door for me, he also closed it for me once I slipped into the nice leather black seats.
He hopped into the drivers seat "hello gorgeous." He leaned over and kissed me and I smiled.
He backed out of the driveway and started driving. He looked serious, but at the same time he couldn't stop smiling and looking at me. He reached over and grabbed my hand pulling it up to his lips and kissed it lightly then holding it in my lap.
"I love you so much Emily." He said looking at me then back at the road. "I love you too Ryan." I said still smiling.
We pulled up into a restaurant that I have only seen but never been to before. Ryan jumped out of the car going around the back to open the door for me. He held out his hand and I placed mine in his as he pulled me up out of the seat.
He wrapped his hand around mine as we walked inside.
Everything was dark, with small tea lights hanging over the tables. A faint sound of romantic music was playing in the background.
"Hello, how many?"
"Just two."
The woman grabbed two menus and said "please follow me."
She took us to a small table with chairs on one side and a booth on the other. She set the menus down she said "hope you enjoy" Before walking away.
We both slid into the booth seat, and I looked around there was only two other people here but at the other end of the room.
"Okay now get whatever you want."
I opened the menu, it was mainly all seafood. I looked at every dish there wasn't one that wasn't expensive. The cheapest one was $24.99 and that was just for one meal. I looked up and said "you really didn't have to bring me here, this is all too expensive."
He put his hand on my thigh and said "you deserve this and so much more, so please Em don't worry about the money, alright?"
I nodded my head and looked back down at the menu.
The waiter walked over and said "hello my name is Jason and I'll be your waiter for the evening, can I start you two with something to drink?"
We both got water and ordered our food and then he picked up our menus and left.
Ryan's hand moved further up my leg and looked at me. My heart started beating faster.
"Did I ever tell you how beautiful you look?" I shook my head, then he said "well you are." Then he leaned in lightly kissing me as his hand moved further and further up my leg. "If you want me to stop just tell me."
I really didn't want him to so I just shook my head again, I was speechless once his hand reached my underwear. He moved his fingers up and down, he kissed me harder to keep me quite. He pulled his hand away and I opened my eyes to see the waiter bringing our food. Like seriously? We couldn't have just had five more minutes.
That was the first time anything like that has ever happened to me. My heart was still beating fast, I'm surprised he couldn't hear it. I picked up my fork and started eating things in small bites. I looked up while I was eating to see what the restaurant looked like, but i could see Ryan just looking at me smiling.
I looked forward, not knowing what to say, and just continued eating my food until I couldn't anymore. I got a to go box and then Ryan caught my eyes, "just please remember Emily, I love you. That means you shouldn't be scared to tell me anything, ever." The waiter came back and took my food and put it into a box for me. He handed it back and set the check on the table and said "feel free to pay when you like, I hope you two have a wonderful night." He picked up a few plates and walked away.
He set money on the table and picked up the black book and took it to the front counter. He paid and then grabbed my hand opening the door for me, we walked out of the building and headed toward the car. He got ahead of me and opened the door, as I sat down he closed the door behind me. He got in the car and pulled out of the parking lot onto the main road. "So where to next?" I looked over at him smiling. He grabbed my hand holding it over the console and said "tonight is just an "us" night, I'm just happy to be with you." He looked me in the eyes for a second before returning them to the road. We pulled up to his house which didn't really surprise me, but I was completely okay with that. We got out of the car and then our hands met again as we walked up the driveway and to the front door. He unlocked the door, and everything was completely dark. It surprised me that not one of the guys were home.
We walked inside and just a few lamps were on; we walked upstairs to his room. We sat down on the couch and he picked up remote starting to scroll through channels. He picked a movie and got up, "hold on baby I forgot something." He quickly walked out his door and you could hear him run down the stairs. It felt like seconds before he came back, I zoned out in the movie not realizing it. I looked up at him with a bunch of snacks and junk in his hand. "What in the world is all that for we just ate like almost 30 minutes ago." He set all the stuff down on the table in front of us and then set down a bucket of ice cream. "Seriously Ryan! Ice cream?" I laughed and he said "um hell yeah Emily, I got all of this stuff for the ice cream." I looked around and saw caramel and chocolate syrup, candy, nuts, almost anything you would put on ice cream he had it.
He sat down and handed me a bowl "now I need you to listen, I will only judge you if you don't get how much ice cream you want." I looked at him and laughed and said "what's the suppose to mean." We both laughed and he replied "I don't want you to be uncomfortable with me, eat as much as you want." He grabbed a huge spoon and practically stabbed the container of ice cream. He smiled and filled his bowl completely and then handed it to me, I filled mine halfway because I still wasn't as hungry. After we put the toppings on we went back to watching the movie. He looked over at me and said "hey... hey em." I looked up at him and couldn't help but laugh, then he said "you have ice cream on your face." I said "what?" and set my ice cream on my lap, but then he said "I'll get it.
He kissed my face and then I felt his tongue lick it off "Eww Ryan stop that." He laughed at my comment and said "now don't act like you don't like it" his eyes gleamed looking down at me. This time I was the one laughing "oh really now?" He nodded his head and leaned over and did it again. I set my bowl down and said "seriously." I couldn't keep a straight face as I looked at him. "How do you like it?" I leaned over and kissed him slipping my tongue out across his cheek and he laughed and said "oh yes Emily please, please do it again." I lightly hit him and went to sit back in my original place but he grabbed my waste and quickly brought my lips to his. His fingers ran through my hair and mine through his.
We didn't even know it but the movie was over, then all we could hear was loud music. I looked up at it and grabbed the remote and shut it off and placed it back on to the table. His hands returned to my back and he reconnected our lips. This went on for a while, hands moving all over but not once losing connection.
I was sitting over top of him and his hands moved from my legs to my waist. He got really close to my inner thigh but didn't go further.
I placed one last long passionate kiss on his lips and then laid down on his chest. "I love you so much Emily." He kissed the top of my head. "I'm so in love with you, I will follow you anywhere for the rest of my life."
I couldn't help but think about what he just said. He said the thing that scared me the most. What happens next, will he go back to California and just find this a summer fling or will he take it serious. I don't even know what to think sometimes, and I hate myself for doing this because this was the perfect night and I ruined it from overthinking. He will never know that because I don't want him to feel bad for what he said.
Our legs were intertwined together and his arms were wrapped around mine. He was already sleeping, before I could reply, but then I said "I love you too Ryan."
