Luke's P.O.V
There was no questioning the fact that she was a smart girl. I just want her safe. I want her to believe me. I know she said she won't, but something has to change her mind. Something. I just don't know what.
Clem's P.O.V
He claims he doesn't hate me, but deep down inside, I know he does. He just wants to spare my feelings. I went in my room and sat on my bed. Luke eventually walked in.
"Don't say a word. Just listen. If I hated you, would I have saved you from that walker this morning? Would I have let you come inside the first day I met you? Would I have stayed by your side the entire 3 weeks you were in a coma? Clementine, I don't hate you. I honestly really don't. I've saved you so many times. If I hated you, I would've left you to die. But I didn't."
I hugged him for what seemed like forever. I think I took him by surprise. Or scared him. Or both.
"Can I go outside now?"
He laughed.
"Sure."
I walked outside and sat on the porch. "Hey, little girl! Yeah, the one sitting on the porch? Remember me?"
