I don't know if I will ever be over you completely. I've been trying to write this excerpt to open this book for months, and every time I say "I'm finally over you," I erase it a month later. I am trying not to write how long it's been, because who knows if I will try to edit this once again with new insight. The truth is, I could write a lengthy description of how I've picked myself up and pushed forward, but at the end of the day, my mind will always wonder back to you. So no, I am not over you. But one step at a time I have been trying, and I will keep trying until one day you are just my first heartbreak who taught me pain and poetry.
