"Why did you suddenly decided to stop?" Youngjae asked.
"Don't ask why hyung eat your lunch I need to go, Yugyeom said he will join you here. I'll be at the library." Jungkook said avoiding the question why? Cause even him he really doesn't know why he decided to cancel the wedding.
When he arrived at the library, he literally just stayed there. Because even him he doesn't understand why he decided to quit...
Taehyung is off... Not at his work but his whole system is off. He is physically there at the office doing the paperworks of being a CEO but he is mentally not there.
The secretary is getting tired of running to his office to change some documents or files.
"Ah sir— are you listening?" His secretary asked nervously because Taehyung is so serious at reading some documents.
"Leave me alone." Taehyung answered shortly.
The secretary quickly left him alone there, he threw the papers that he was reading to eased his irritation.
Well Jungkook broke up with him, and now he heard that the younger was out on a movie date with Yugyeom again.
Seokjin suddenly came inside his office, he was picking the pages that Taehyung throws.
“Why the hell he broke up with me?! If he’ ll be just out there—“
“Wait– imma remind you something. You and Jungkook are not a thing you were just arranged by your parents because of business– also wait? Are you jealous?” Jin asked looking at the younger with a lenny face.
“No I’m not. I’m tired I’m going home.” He said and left Jin there.
"Thanks for bringing me back home." Jungkook said to Yugyeom.
The taller walk him back home since it was kinda dark. Also the fact that Jungkook looks like out of himself makes Yugyeom worried.
"Ah— Jungkook. If you have some problem you can share it with me. I might help? Or maybe listen to it." Yugyeom said shyly, Jungkook smiled.
"I'm fine." He answered shortly.
"Go home too, it's getting late." Jungkook said smiling and wave his hands.
When Yugyeom left...
Jungkook stayed longer outside the house, he was wondering how Taehyung is now? Did he do the grocery today? Because when he left he was running out some food.
There is a swing at their garden he sat there and let the past reminisce him for awhile...
"Hyung! I want higher!" Jungkook said laughing excitedly.
"Eh— you might fall in the ground kookie." Taehyung said as he carefully push Jungkook at the swing.
"You will catch me right?" Jungkook asked.
"I do— but I'm afraid that you might hurt—" Jungkook tried to stop the swing using his feet.
"You will never hurt me hyung, because I know that you love kookie so much!" Jungkook said and hugged Taehyung.
"I promise I will protect you always kookie." Taehyung said.
Jungkook came back to reality when it was started raining, also he was tearing up... He run inside the house and saw Taehyung seating at the sofa.
Taehyung stood up when he saw Jungkook, he wanted to hug the younger so he the cold feeling right now will stop...
"What are you doing here?" Jungkook asked as he wiped the tears that are forming.
"I— I just want to ask something."
The thunderstorm is now starting...
"Where is my mom?" Jungkook asked changing the topic, afterall this is his house he can be him.
"She left because of an emergency flight for a business."
"That's why I am here, I told her that I will wait for you so I can talk to you." Taehyung muttered.
"Hyung— we don't have to talk anymore. I'm setting you free... I mean I know you don't want to marry me." Jungkook answered... His voice was cracked.
"So with all your respect, please leave. I'm also tired." Jungkook said. Tired physically and mentally because I was thinking of you all day.
He was about to walk upstairs— everything turns into black.
"Ah— blackout?" Taehyung said.
"The rain is kinda—" and they heard a thunder.
Jungkook quickly run to Taehyung's arms he was even hurt because he accidentally bumped at the center table.
"Hyungie— I'm afraid." An eighth years old Jungkook said, as he snuggles at Taehyung's arms.
"Shhh— hyungie is here." Taehyung said he hugged the younger.
"Mommy— where is my m-mommy?" He asked.
"Shhh— kookie. Aunt Eunju is out right now. I will protect you okay." Taehyung whispered as he made some small circles at Jungkook's back so he will be more calm.
"Don't leave me hyung." Jungkook said.
"I will not." Taehyung said.
"Hyung— I promise I will set you free tomorrow but just— don't leave me here." Jungkook said as he hugged Taehyung tightly.
"I will not baby. Shhh." Taehyung unconsciously said, Jungkook was shaking.
"Thank you." Jungkook whispered.
"Do you want to go to sleep?" Taehyung asked.
"Yeah... But it's—" and a thunder.
Jungkook hugged him again, Taehyung smiled at how cute Jungkook is right now. Tho he wasn't seeing Jungkook's face right now. He find it cute... His baby is so cute— when I say baby I mean brother okay? Also I just miss him too tho it was actually 48 hours since he left me.
"I will lead the way... I always put you to sleep when you're younger." Taehyung said.
Taehyung lead the way, their hands were intertwined.
They both still wearing the "engagement ring"
"If you want to change I will be outside the restroom." Taehyung said.
Jungkook blushed. "I— I'm afraid it's dark." Jungkook said.
"I— I will just changed here." Jungkook said.
"Don't look at me okay!" Jungkook sternly said.
"Yeah I will not." Taehyung said...
Jungkook randomly pulled a shirt and a pajama inside his cabinet, after changing he called Taehyung.
"Hyung?" Jungkook called softly, Jungkook can hear the heavy rain outside, the thunder and lightnings can be seen and heard.
"Yeah—" Taehyung answered and hold Jungkook's hands.
Jungkook was now on his bed while Taehyung was sitting at the edge of the bed holding the younger's hands. Jungkook would just cherish this moment again... He knows that this won't last long... Because after a rain there is a rainbow? Well rainbow doesn't exist in his situation because after this... He knows he need to let the older free again. It's just he was afraid to sleep alone.
Taehyung already heard some soft snores, also the thunder and lightnings has stopped but the rain was still heavy.
"Goodnight kookie." Taehyung said.
"Goodnight kookie." Jungkook felt like he heard the 10 years old TaeTae hyung of him.
