Buttons was frustrated to say the least. Opening night for 'Chicago' was in two days and he was about to lose it he finished all the other dresses weeks before but the sequins on the dress for All That Jazz were giving him hell. Something about the goddamn sequins and the thin fabric he was supposed to be using just didn't work.
Slamming his hands down on the table Buttons sighed. A voice piped up from behind him "Um, are you okay?" it asked. "No!" Buttons responded haughtily. "What can I do to help?" A boy with fluffy brown hair plopped down next to Buttons. "Do you know how to sow?" Buttons inquired. The boy shrugged and stuck out his hand introducing himself as Jojo. He picked up a sequin inspecting it closer. "These aren't sequins," Jojo laughed. "Excuse me?" "These aren't sequins their too thin to be sequins," Jojo stated. "Well what are they then?" "I don't know but they aren't sequins," Buttons hadn't slept in five days and for some reasons this was hilarious to him and he burst out laughing resting his head on the desk where he stayed still for less than a minute before falling asleep.
A boy with messy blond hair poked his head through the doorway. "Did you fix him?" he inquired gesturing at the sleeping boy. "He was trying to sow confetti onto a dress I think he needs to sleep for a few solid hours," Jojo informed Race. Race nodded "Well move him over into dressing room one I'm pretty sure there's a cot in there," Jojo stood up and rather than scooping up the small boy bridal style (because I'm so goddamn tired of it) he threw the smaller form over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes.
Jojo made his way to the other side of the theater and into dressing room one except when he tried to set Buttons down the boy wouldn't let go of him. Jojo sighed carefully prying Buttons off of him. Buttons whimpered as soon as Jojo let go of him. Jojo groaned but lay down next to Buttons who clung to him like a koala bear. Jojo quickly sunk into sleep and a few minutes later Race came to check on them both. When he entered the room he smiled, now he had a new ship.

Ok this was shortish I just saw Chicago at my local theater so that was my inspiration.
