Klarissa's POV
I couldn't find Lily, and I didn't see her for the rest of the day.
But I decided that I preferred doing my assignments in the library over hanging with Kiara and Sarah. So that's where I spent the rest of recess, and then lunch.
I got home from school, into my loud house of siblings. Seven of us all between the ages of 6 and 16. It was crazy. I hated it.
It was nearly a relief that I had to go to work. But I soon changed my mind when heaps of parents had brought their screaming children grocery shopping. My annoying brothers and sisters were good compared to toddlers, I decided.
About an hour into my shift, I saw a familiar head of dark brown, wavy hair walk in to the store. I watched her. She looked much different to how she had earlier. Her appearance had drastically changed from neat and tidy to untidy and messy. There were holes everywhere in her huge shirt and tights.
As she walked towards the checkout area, I called out to her.
She looked my way, smiling, and walked towards me with some sanitary pads and chocolate.
"Hey," She said.
"Hey," I said back.
I noticed it was kind of awkward, so tried to think of something to say.
"These go well together," I said, as I scanned her items.
She laughed, picking up the items.
"Periods suck. And I'm glad I'm not the only one who craves a bit of chocolate," I said.
I noticed that she not only looked different to what she had earlier, she was much quieter. Almost shy.
"I went looking for you at recess and lunch today. I couldn't find you anywhere," I said.
"Oh. I got sick, had to go home," She said, frowning.
"Because of my period, I think,"
"Oh that sucks. I hope to see you at school tomorrow." I said.
"Yeah, I hope to see you too. Hopefully my pains will have eased off by tomorrow and I can go to school," she said, smiling.
The butterflies in my stomach danced at her smile, and I realised that I really did like Lily. Already. And I really wanted to get to know her more.
She payed for her items, and waved at me as she left the door.
I watched her until she was gone into the night.

When I got home, I hopped straight onto my phone and decided to try and look for her Instagram.
Because what teenager doesn't have Instagram in 2019?
But I had absolutely no idea what her last name was, and there are so many Lily's in the world that it would be impossible to find her online without a last name.
I sighed, turning my phone off and ignoring all the text messages from Kiara and Sarah. As if they actually cared.
