A few of you read on my profile today that my great grandmother passed away. It was unexpected. She suffered from Alzheimer's and had a lot of health issues, but we all assumed she had more time with us. None of us were prepared for it. Please pray for my family. We've all suffered far too many losses and heard far too much bad news in such a short time. Thank you.
I want to get this and maybe something else out in the next two days because Friday I have family coming in and then I will be traveling out of state with them for the visitations and funeral on Saturday.
I hope you all can understand <3 And to those of you that are writing me/have written me imagines today, I will get to them, I promise. I will be reading them tonight. Thank you for all you guys do for me. You have no idea how much it means.

The next morning, you woke up and went home. Peter still wasn't back, but after calling him (on Flash's phone) thirty times, you'd given up on waiting. You'd decided that more likely than not, he was sleeping over at Flash or Ned's, hung over. You tried to reassure yourself that he was okay.
The first thing you did when you got home was jump in the shower. MJ was still sleeping, so you took this as as an opportunity to use up as much of the hot water as you could. The muscles in your back were so tight after a night of tossing and turning on Peter's old sofa, rolls of anxiety coming off of you continuously...
You shivered under the spray, lathering your hair in strawberry shampoo.
Afterwards, you wrapped your hair up in a fluffy pink towel and walked into the kitchen. MJ was up, wearing a baggy sweatshirt and a pair of shorts. She grinned at you as she put some fruit in the blender.
"Good morning!" she half sang. "How was the big anniversary date?"
"Well," you said, shuffling across the floor, "we kind of... just broke up instead."
She turned the blender on without putting the top on it first. "You what?"
"Oh my gosh, MJ!" you cried. "It's on the ceiling!"
"It's okay," she said, flinging chunks of mango off her hands. "This is more important than fruit. On my ceiling... ugh!" She looked at you. "You broke up?"
"Yeah, but it's okay," you told her, pouring yourself some juice. "Because when Peter left, Harry came over, a-"
"Oh, no - ___, you and Harry?"
"No, nothing happened!" you said. "Harry and I talked. And I realized how much I love that stupid nerdy spider-boy and how bad I want to be with him. And yeah, we've got our problems, but I really want to make it work."

Peter opened his heavy, heavy eyes.
He groaned. There was light pouring in through the blinds that absolutely made his head scream inside. He buried his head under the blanket he was under, only to realize it wasn't a blanket at all, but someone's jacket.
He sat up and looked around. He recognized it at once; it was Flash's apartment. He was crashed on the floor. On the armchair was Ned, and on the couch was Gwen-
Gwen!
Peter hurriedly got to his feet. He started to breathe heavy as he moved his hair back. He could still feel her kisses on his lips.
They'd kissed, and he didn't stop it... he hadn't wanted to stop it...
"No," he mumbled. He looked around for his shoes. He found them thrown lazily by the front door. As he started to shove his feet inside of them, Flash's phone rang, loud and painful.
Peter winced. Neither sleeping person in the living room woke up, and Flash was nowhere to be seen. Peter picked up the phone.
"Hello?"
It went off again, and Peter realized that it wasn't ringing, but an alert was going off that was telling Flash his voicemail was full.
Which Peter really wasn't going to check, but every single message was from you.
He touched the last one that you'd sent and it started to play.
"Hi, it's me. I've been trying to reach you - er, Peter - all night. I feel awful. Please, Peter, you gotta know there is nothing between me and Harry. This whole breakup thing is just stupid! Ugh, I'm just so sorry I put you through it. And you know, I don't want to get back together over a machine... so... I love you. And you know what? I'm going to go to bed now, but I'm coming to Flash's apartment around eight thirty. I hope you're there. I hope you're safe. Bye."
Peter's eyes flickered to the clock.

"No way," he murmured.
Sure enough, there was a knock on the door as soon as it turned to 8:28.
Peter ran to the door, then he stopped because he felt like he was about to throw up.
But he still pulled the door open, and when he saw you standing there, he realized that Gwen was visible on the couch behind him. So he threw his arms around you and kissed you right on the lips, turning you so your back went against the wall.
You put your arms around his neck and kissed him back. Then, pulling back, you said, "Ugh, your breath is horrible."
"Sorry," he replied. He shut his eyes and grabbed one of your hands. He pressed it to his cheek and sighed. "I missed you."
"I missed you, Pete. Let's never do this again, okay?"
"Okay," he murmured.
"I love you," you said.
"Oh, I love you so much." He went to kiss you again.
You put your fingers on his lips. "Peter?"
"Hm?"
"What do you have all over your face?" you asked. You grabbed his jaw gently and turned his head. "Are these... bruises?" You rubbed one gently, then looked at the pad of your finger. "Or... purple lipstick?"
"Huh?" His hand flew to his face.
You looked at it on your finger. "It's like what Gwen wears..."
At that same moment, Gwen sat up from the sofa. "Mm... good morning, spider-guy," she yawned, stretching her arms upward.
Peter turned around in horror. You stared, wide eyed and mouth agape. Gwen wasn't sure what was going on until she saw the lipstick stains on Peter's face.
"Oh. Oh." She jumped up. "No, no, no - was that me? Oh, jeez!" She grabbed her head.
You looked at Peter and pushed him away from you in disgust. He fell against the wall. You stormed out the front door.
"____, wait!" Without glancing back at Gwen, he followed you outside.
You lost it when he grabbed you by your arm. You whirled around and yanked your arms back. "No! You don't get to touch me!"
He froze and you took the chance to run back into Flash's apartment. You went around Gwen, who you couldn't even look at without wanting to get sick. You kept picturing them kissing like they did in middle school... when you weren't a part of the picture...
"___, it was a mistake! A drunken mistake!"
You whirled around to look at him. "Oh, so now I have to worry about you cheating on me every time you go out drinking?" you half shouted. "Peter, you kissed another woman. You kissed Gwen."
Ned and Flash emerged and both stood in the living room on either side of Gwen, dumbfounded. You were nearly crying, but you were too angry to realize how crushed you really are.
"You know what? I'm going to go. And you are never going to speak to me again, do you hear me-?"
"No!" he exclaimed. "Stop, I want to fix this. I want to fight through this!"
"Okay, fine. Were you planning on finding another woman after our fight? Is that really why you went out drinking?" you asked, hands on your hips.
"What? No! No, I went out because I was sad. Crushed! But I didn't want to get drunk. Even now, I regret doing it because I am so... so disgusted with myself. This morning, I was so upset... and then I got your message, and she was right there but I didn't want it to be here there, I wanted it to be you-"
"You both stayed here for the night." You nodded as you realized. "My. Gosh."
"It wasn't like either of us wanted to. We were just drunk, we crashed right after the bar-"
"Right after you made out for hours," you reminded him.
Peter sighed.
You shook your head. Biting your lip against the tears in your eyes, he took a step towards you. You pushed him away from you.
"She means nothing to me! Not in the way you mean to me."
"And yet she was worth jeopardizing our relationship?" you asked.
"Look, I didn't think there was a relationship to jeopardize! I thought we had broken up."
You blinked at him. "We were on a break."
"That, for all I knew, could have meant forever. To me, that meant that we were done. We were already over." He shook his head.
"You think you're going to get out of this on a technicality?" you asked, then scoffed.
"I don't think I'm going to get out of anything, okay? I thought our relationship was dead!"
You laughed bitterly. "So you just move on that easy then, huh? Like I'm nothing? Like I can be replaced?"
"No, of course not," he whispered. He walked closer to you, and you were too upset now to push him. You were sobbing now. "How could I think that? You were my first love, ___. You're my reason to be alive. The only reason I am still Spider-Man is because of you!" He grabbed your hands.
You flinched and looked away from him as the tears poured down your face. "Peter..."
"Look, I did a terrible, stupid, stupid thing, okay? And I am sorry. I wish I could take it back but I can't. ___, I love you so much." He leaned in and kissed your jaw, then your cheek. "I love you." He moved over your lips, and you recoiled, pushing him back.
"No!" you cried. "You can't just kiss me and expect everything to be okay again, Peter. It doesn't work like that."
"Okay, okay," he said. "I'm sorry."
"I think you should go," you breathed.
"What?" he asked in disbelief.
"I think you should go, and then I will go somewhere else... and that'll be it." You nodded slowly.
Peter grabbed your shoulders. "Okay, okay - you said that there is nothing that is too big for us and nothing that we couldn't work past it-"
You shook your head. "No, no - what in the world did I know?" you demanded.
"Look, look, there's gotta be a way we can work past this! I mean I - I can't imagine my life without you. I mean..." He took your hand and put it on his chest. His palm rubbed up and down the length of your arm. "I mean, without... without these arms... and your face... and your heart." Tears were overflowing and his voice was breaking. "Your good, good heart - ___." He dropped on his knees and wrapped his arms around you. "Please."
"No," you said, sobbing. "I can't. You are a totally different person to me now. I used to think of you as someone who would never, ever hurt me. Ever. But I was wrong. Things are changed. Forever."
He stood up and looked at you. "This can't be it."
You shrugged, tears drying up slowly. "Then how come it is?"
