Beyoncé's POV
"Mommy!!" I heard.
"What?" I yelled.
I was sitting in the living room when my oldest children decided to mess with me during my downtown. They sat by me smiling like idiots.
"What? I know you want something?" I said.
Chanel looked at Damien.
"Uhm, can we go to Six Flags before we go out the country, please." He said.
"Please mommy." Chanel said.
"Why should we go to six flags when the both of your are punished. Mainly you." I said looking at Chanel.
"Please mommy, it's my birthday." He said.
"Remember when you and Auntie Solo, Kelly and Michelle took me for the weekend and we went to six flags." Chanel said. "It will be fun."
*Flashback 2006*
Narrator's POV
Beyoncé knocked on the door with Kelly, Michelle, and Solange with her. They waited until her Aunt answered the door. They didn't have the greatest relationship but they respected each other.
"Hey Bey, Kelly, Michelle, Solo." She said.
"Hey." They said.
"She's in her room." Her aunt said opening the door for them to come in.
Chanel was on her bed watching TV until she heard her door open and she looked. Her eyes got so big and she jumped off the bed.
"Mommy." She said running towards Beyoncé.
Beyoncé picked her up and kissed her all over her face.
"Mommy, I missed you so much." Chanel said hugging her.
"I missed you so much too." Beyoncé said hugging her.
"Oh we get no love?" Solange asked.
Beyoncé finally let her down and she ran over to her aunts.
"Where's Jeulz?" Chanel asked as she was held by Kelly.
"Jeulz is with his daddy." Solange said.
"Aye ma, what we doing this weekend?" Chanel asked.
"Repeat that." Beyonce said.
Chanel snuggled closer to Kelly.
"Mommy, what are we doing this weekend?" Chanel asked.
"Well we are going to the park today then Six Flags tomorrow-"
"Really!?" Chanel said.
"Yep, but we gotta talk first." Beyoncé said.
"Uh oh." Michelle said and Kelly put her down.
"We'll meet y'all in the car." Beyoncé said.
They left and Beyoncé sat on the bed with Chanel. Chanel looked up at her mother.
"Now I heard about your report card." Beyoncé said.
Chanel looked down and Beyoncé grabbed her chin.
"What happened?" She asked.
"Math is hard and I don't get it and the kids call me slow." Chanel said.
"You are not slow, I don't want to hear you say that. What did I tell you to do if you don't get something?" She asked.
"Ask someone." Chanel said.
"Why?" Beyoncé asked.
"Because if no one knows you have a problem how they gonna help you." She said.
"Exactly." Beyoncé said. "You gonna do better?"
"Yes." She said.
"Gimmie kiss." Beyoncé said.
Chanel kissed her mom.
"Okay, get your bag." Beyoncé said.
Chanel hopped off the bed and got her bag. They walked out and Chanel went outside with her Aunts. Beyoncé turned to her Aunt before she left.
"I'll have her back Sunday." She said.
"That's fine." Her Aunt said.
"Uhm, about this situation-"
"Bey we've been through this. She needs to be grounded and she already made friends down the street and we don't want to mess that up right. You said yourself you didn't want her growing up in the spotlight" Her aunt said.
"I guess your right." Beyoncé said.
"I am." She said.
"I'll see you Sunday." Beyoncé said leaving to get in the truck.
When Beyoncé got in the truck and they were going to the park Chanel talked non stop. About school, about her friend down the street about everything on the planet earth. When they got to the park they made sure they were ready. They got out and had fun at the park. Chanel did everything thing and her mom and Aunts were kids again. They were on the swings and slides having fun. They ran around playing tag and just enjoying life.
"Lil mama, what you wanna do tonight?" Kelly asked.
"Uhm, can we have a girls night at the hotel?" She asked looking at her mom.
"We can make that happen." Beyoncé said.
They went back to the hotel and everyone got in their PJ's. All the girls didn't get to see Chanel often because Beyoncé would go by herself so they wanted to make this weekend special. They had on their PJ's eating pizza and watching movies. They were watching Cheetah Girls 1 and 2 singing to all the songs. The night went on then it was someone's time for bed.
"But mommy I don't want to go to bed." Chanel said as she yawned.
"But we have to get up early to go to Six Flags so say goodnight to everyone." Beyoncé said.
Chanel hugged all her aunts until she followed her mom into the room. Beyoncé tucked her in.
"Mommy can you sing me a song?" Chanel asked.
"What song?" Beyoncé asked.
"Uhm, The Proud Family song." She said.
"But that's Auntie Solo's song ." Beyoncé said.
"Please." She said.
"Okay I'll sing it but you have to sing Auntie Solo's part deal?" Beyoncé said.
"Deal." She said smiling.
"Okay, scoot over." Beyoncé said.
Chanel scooted over and Beyoncé laid beside her.
"Take it away." She said.
Chanel cleared her throat and Beyoncé laughed.
"You and me will always be tight. Family every single day and night. Even when you start acting like a fool. You know I'm loving every single thing you do. I know that I can always be myself. Around you more than anybody else. Everyday as I'm heading off to school, You know there's no one I love as much as you." Chanel sang.
"Family, A family, Proud family." They sang.
"They'll make you scream! They'll make you wanna sing!" Beyoncé sang.
"It's a family thing. A family. Proud, Proud family" Chanel sang.
"Proud Family. They'll push your buttons! They'll make you wanna..." Beyoncé sang.
"Hug'em." Chanel sung.
They finished out the theme song and Beyoncé sung another song until Chanel fell asleep. She got up to go back in the living room and saw Michelle and Solange fighting over something.
"What are y'all doing?" Beyoncé asked confused.
"Who got the shorter stick." Michelle said. "Ha! You lose."
"I don't want to sleep on the couch." Solange said.
"Well we won fair and square." Michelle said. "Have fun on the couch."
"Ha ha!" Solange said.
"Well y'all have a good night." Kelly said walking back into the room.
"Yeah, well see y'all at 8am." Beyoncé said.
"8 what?" Michelle said.
"We gotta be at the park all day." Beyoncé said.
"Lord, be a fence." Michelle said walking towards the room.
Everybody got ready to go to bed.
*Next Morning*
"Wake up baby." Beyoncé said.
"Mommy, I don't want to wake up." Chanel whined.
"Fine." Beyoncé said. "I guess no Six Flags today."
"Wait." Chanel whined. "I'll get up, I wanna go."
"Okay, go take a shower and put on your clothes." Beyoncé said.
Chanel finally got up to shower. After everyone was ready and are cereal they went to the truck. When they got to the park Chanel kept looking around.
"Mommy, where's the people?" Chanel asked.
"We are the people." She said.
"You mean we have it to ourselves?" Chanel asked.
"Yep, no fans, no interruptions." She said. "Just us."
"Uhm, hello." Solange said.
"Oh, and them too." Beyoncé said.
"Anyway, today Chanel your getting on the big rides." Solange said.
"I don't want to." Chanel said.
"Why?" Solange asked as they walked.
"Because I don't want to." Chanel said.
They went and got on the Roar, Bumper Cars, Carousal, and some other rides. They played games and won stuffed animals.
"Chanel, you wanna get on that with us?" Solange asked.
Solange pointed to the Mind Eraser roller coaster and Chanel looked up at it.
"You don't have to." Beyoncé said looking at Chanel.
"But I want to." She said. "Will you ride with me?"
"Are you sure?" Beyoncé asked.
Chanel nodded.
"Alright! Chanel, you gonna have so much fun I promise." Solange said as they walked up to get on the ride.
Chanel's palms were sweating as she was getting on the ride. She took off her shoes.
"You don't have to take off your shoes." Michelle said.
"My feet are dangling, I'm taking no chances." Chanel said.
Chanel sat in the seat in her socks waiting to be strapped in. She looked over at her mom who was smiling and held her hand out. Chanel grabbed her hand as the ride started and as the ride went to the top Chanel's heart started beating faster.
"Chanel! You ready!" She heard Kelly scream.
"No!" Chanel screamed back.
"Oh well!" Solange screamed as they went down.
All you heard were screams and hollering. Chanel felt a huge rush of adrenaline and enjoyed the ride. When it was over and they got off Chanel's adrenaline was running wild.
"You ain't a baby no more." Solange said.
"You have fun?" Beyoncé asked.
"Yes! I want to get on another one." She said.
"Alright, lets go!" Michelle said.
They went to Gotham City to get on the Jokers Jinx and then on to the tallest roller coaster in the park, The Superman.
"Chanel are you sure about this?" Beyoncé asked.
"Yes." She said.
"Okay, you and Solo be careful and have fun okay." Beyoncé said as she watched them go on the ride.
Beyoncé, Kelly and Michelle stood looking at the ride start.
"They crazy as hell for getting on that." Kelly said.
"Yeah, I'm not even getting on that." Beyoncé said.
"Looks like you got a little dare devil now." Michelle said.
"Oh god, I hope not." Beyoncé said.
"Oh look, there they go." Kelly said.
They watched them go down the steep ride and thanked god they made it off the ride in one piece. When they finally came from the ride Chanel ran to her mom.
"Mommy! Mommy! Did you see me!" Chanel said.
"Yes, I did." Beyoncé said. "Did you have fun?"
"Yes." She said.
"Bey, come see these pictures!" Solange yelled.
They walked over to see their faces as the ride went down. The faces were priceless and Solange bought one for her key chain.
"Mommy, I'm hungry." Chanel said.
"Okay." Beyoncé said.
They went to get something to eat.
"Chanel, what do you want?" Beyoncé asked.
"Uhm, pasta." Chanel said.
"They don't have that." She said.
"Ribs." Chanel said.
"Chanel, they have hot dogs, hamburgers, fries, pizza, stuff like that." Beyoncé said.
"I don't want that." Chanel said.
Beyoncé sighed.
"Oh wait, I want a funnel cake." She said.
"You have to eat real food first." Beyoncé said.
"Ugh!!!" Chanel groaned.
Beyoncé pulled her to the side and squatted down to Chanel's level.
"You need to stop all the groans and moans because you know I don't play that." Beyoncé said. "Now you can have a funnel cake after you eat some real food. Now what do you want?"
"Chicken tenders." She said.
"Okay." Beyoncé said as she got up. "Go sit next to your god mommy."
Beyoncé went to order their food and when it was done they ate it with everyone else. Chanel finally got her funnel cake and played a few more games. She wanted Jeulz to have some toys. It was late and they were finally leaving the park. Beyoncé carried Chanel to the car as they thanked the owners and employee's. When they got back to the hotel everyone basically passed out. Beyoncé changed Chanel's clothes into her PJ's. Beyoncé changed and fell asleep.
*Next Morning*
Beyoncé woke up the next morning bitter. Today was the day she had to take Chanel back. She didn't want to but she didn't want her daughter in the spotlight, at least for right now. She laid there watching her daughter sleep. She didn't want to leave. As she watched her daughter sleep she started to wake up. Chanel looked up at her mommy.
"I have to go back don't I?" Chanel said.
"Yeah." Beyoncé said nodding.
"At least I had fun." She said.
They got ready and Beyoncé decided to take Chanel back by herself. Chanel hugged all her aunts and left. She was dropping Chanel off. Her aunt opened the door and they went in. Chanel went towards her room when Beyoncé said she would be in there in a minuet.
"We need to talk." Beyoncé said.
"About what?" Her aunt said.
"I want Chanel to come with me." Beyoncé said.
"Bey, we've been over this-"
"I know but I don't care." Beyoncé said.
"Look, unless you want the world to know that their girl next door got knocked up at 16 and with a thug and-"
"He's not a thug, that's her father." Beyoncé said.
"Whatever, try and take her or go to the law and these pictures and every secret about this family will be out quicker than you know it." She said.
Beyoncé stared down her Aunt. She turned to go to the back.
"Beyoncé-"
"Can I tell my daughter goodbye?" She said.
"Don't try nothing slick." Her aunt said.
Beyoncé went into Chanel's room and she was watching TV and looked up when her mom came in.
"You leaving?" Chanel asked.
"Yeah, I got a plane to catch." She said.
Chanel got off the bed and hugged her mom.
"I'm gonna miss you." Chanel said.
"I'm gonna miss you too." She said.
"Can we write letters?" Chanel asked.
"Yeah, we can do that." She said smiling.
"Love you mommy." Chanel said.
"Love you too." She said.
They finally let each other go and Beyoncé left the house and got back in the truck. She was driving until her vision became blurred and the tears fell from her eyes. She pulled over and cried to herself. She cried for being week, she cried from guilt and most importantly she cried because she was a terrible mother.
*Present 2013*
Beyoncé's POV
"Ma! Ma! Ma!!!!!!!" Chanel yelled.
"What?" I asked.
"Where'd you go?" Chanel asked laughing.
"Don't worry about it." She said. "So what y'all tryna do again?"
"We wanted to go to Six Flags before we leave the country." Damien said.
"Oh, uhm will see." I said.
"Yes!" They said.
"Actually I'll see if the band and dancers and crew wanna go." I said.
"That's cool." Damien said.
"Can Erica and DJ and Devon come?" Chanel asked.
"Yeah sure." I said.
Chanel and Damien both hugged me.
"I just gotta find a clear day and we can do it." I said. "Hopefully I get a free day so don't get your hopes up,
"Thanks ma." Damien said.
They ran back to where ever they came from. An amusement park with all of us would be crazy.
