DAY 3
I turned to my side and checked the time 3AM. Why was I awake so early? My head was pounding as usual. I looked over to Bucky, he had his head facing towards the wall, i knew he wasn't asleep but i hoped he wouldn't notice that I was awake. I figured I wouldn't be able to get back to sleep now, so I tried to get up, but a sudden surge of pain rushed down my body.
"Ow"
I whimpered rubbing my leg.
I started walking out of the room but every time I took a step my legs got a rush of pain. By the time I got to the kitchen the pain had died down to an ache across my body. Sleep was impossible yet I felt so tired. I was sure I had giant bags under my eyes. I made myself a coffee to hopefully wake myself up more. I sat down at the kitchen island and sipped at my coffee. The sound of footsteps made me turn my head. Bucky walked over to me confused.
"Y/n? What are you doing up?"
I looked up at him and chuckled.
"I could ask you the same question"
he looked at me sadly.
"You know the answer to that question"
my smile faded and I sighed.
"So tell me... why are you up?"
I shrugged
"couldn't sleep"
"that makes two of us"
Bucky sighed.
I smiled sadly, I hate not being able to make him feel better. Bucky sat down next to me and took a sip of my coffee.
"Hey!"
He chuckled and gave the warm mug back to me. Just the weight of the mug was enough to make my arm ache so quickly put it down and rubbed it to try and soothe the pain. Bucky noticed and looked at me confused, he scanned over my features and only now seemed to notice how tired I looked, noticing the bags under my eyes and how my head was drooping as if it was exhausting to just hold it up, which was true. His face softened but also held the look of concern. His blue eyes met mine and lingered, my eyes gave away how tired I was. Bucky was about to say something but before he could, I gave him a look telling him not to press on it. He stopped and retreated to looking down at the countertop.
"Well I'm going to go have a shower, see ya"
I slowly got up from the stool to try and keep the pain at bay, I gave Bucky a warm smile and walked away before Bucky could say anything else.
The warm water hit my sensitive body, temporarily soothing my pain. I stayed in there for 10 minutes before I finally got out. I put on a grey oversized hoodie and some black leggings. I didn't want to go back to Bucky after that awkward scene so I decided to find something else to do. I groggily walked down to Tonys lab, I enjoyed watching him work on his projects, and I was sure he'd be awake, and hopefully Bruce would be there too so I could tell him about the symptom of today.
I walked into the lab and sure enough Tony was there working on all his little gadgets, I looked around and luckily Bruce was in the room too.
Tony looked up from his work.
"To what do I owe the pleasure?"
I walked over and sat at a bench.
"Couldn't sleep"
Tony nodded his head and continued his work. Bruce walked over to me. Silently asking me what was happening today.
"My whole body aches"
Bruce nodded in acknowledgment.
"I couldn't even hold a coffee mug for more than 10 seconds"
I lightly chuckled forcing a smile.
Knowing I didn't actually find this funny, Bruce put a hand on my shoulder sadly and walked back over to his spot on the other side of the room. Tony looked up at me sadly and I gave him a tired smile.
3 hours passed of Tony working on his gadgets while I intently watched. since he was trying to figure out how to get the chip out without killing me, Bruce would come and go to ask me a question or do a little test on me. Other then the occasional small talk with Tony the room was silent, which was nice. It was 6:30AM when FRIDAY said we were having a meeting in 5 minutes.
I walked into the meeting room with everyone else to see Steve already waiting there, surprisingly Bucky walked into the room. He sat down next to me and gave me a small smile to which I returned.
"What's up capsicle"
Tony sarcastically asked.
"We have a mission"
Clint groaned from the back of the room
"it's too early"
he whined.
Me and Wanda chuckled.
"We need to infiltrate a hydra base, the plan is simple, get in, get information, get out, blow the place up"
we all nodded.
"Y/n you'll-"
knowing what he was going to suggest I cut him off.
"I'll what."
I gave him a death glare and he shifted his position, looking intimidated.
"You'll... nothing"
everyone knew what I we were silently talking about, except Bucky who looked completely lost in what the hell was going on. Steve noticed Buckys confusion and quickly changed the subject.
"Well... Avengers, suit up!"
Everyone walked out of the room to go get ready. Before i could get out Steve pulled me aside, he looked at me worriedly.
"Are you sure you're up for this? Banner told me how-"
"yes Steve, I'm fine. Plus if I didn't go on this mission don't you think Bucky would get suspicious? He already is starting to be"
he sighed.
"How long are you gong to keep this from him"
I shrugged
"I don't know"
I slipped on my suit in my room, put on my gloves and boots. I reached under my bed a pulled out a large locked case, I put in the code and opened it up. I slid my guns and knives into their spots on my suit and got up. Bucky walked out of the Bathroom with his suit on and looked me up and down.
"I am still not use to seeing you in that suit"
I walked over to him and smirked
"Well you better get use to it lover boy"
Bucky chuckled and kissed me on the cheek before he walked out of the room.
We were all sitting on the quinjet. I was really regretting going on this mission, my head hurt like crazy and my whole body ached whenever I just moved a tiny bit, now I'm going to fight. But I had to keep Bucky from finding out about what's happening, at all costs.
We finally got to the base and all got out of the quinjet.
"Okay, Tony, Wanda and I will fight from the inside, we will also set all the bombs to blow the base up after we are out. Clint and Natasha will fight from the outside and Y/n you need to get into the lab and hack into their files to get us as much information as you can, Bucky you go with her for Backup"
Steve told us. I nodded.
"Okay, lets go"
he added.
I started running towards the base, slower then usual since it hurt so much.
"You can hack?"
Bucky asked as he ran beside me.
I forgot nobody told him about how we found him and Steve while they were captured.
"Yeah, thats how we found you and Steve, I hacked into hydra"
Bucky didn't say anything after that.
We got into the base undetected and started our way towards the lab.
"How do you know where the lab is?"
Bucky asked
"It's always in the same area in every base"
he nodded.
"Watch out!"
I yelled, but before Bucky could react I threw one of my knives and hit the hydra agent that was about to shoot Bucky square in the chest. He fell to the ground.
"You are full of surprises"
Bucky said a bit shocked.
"You have no idea..."
I whispered.
I walked over and pulled the knife out from the agents chest and put it back into its spot. We got to the lab and I sat down at one of the computers. I held my hand up to my ear and spoke.
"Steve, what kind of information do you want?"
A couple of seconds passed.
"All of it"
I started typing on the computer.
"Bucky I'm fine in here, go help the others set the bombs"
"are you sure?"
"Yep"
Bucky hesitated but soon walked out.
Five minutes passed and I had gotten as much information as the USB could handle. I once again placed my hand up to my ear.
"I got it"
"good, now get out of there"
"will do"
I grabbed the USB and made my way out.
Just as I walked out the door of the lab something, more so, someone jumped on me from behind. A hydra agent. Since I was so weak, the weight of the agent was way to much for me to handle, I fell to the ground with the agent still on me, before I could react the agent grabbed one of my knives and stabbed me in the leg. I screamed in pain. Before the agent could to anything else I blasted him with my power.
"Y/n? Where the hell are you!"
Tony asked.
I looked down at my leg and pulled out the knife, I whimpered at the extra pain i just made for myself. My leg had a giant gash and blood was gushing out. I slowly put my shaking hands up to my ear
"Uh... I don't think I will be able to get out of here by myself"
