Home is the epitome of warmth,
It soothes my senses,
Warms my frozen heart,
And mends my broken spirit.
When I'm at home,
I don't stick out like a sore thumb,
I don't worry about who I should be,
Or what sneering lips say about me.
Wherever I go,
And I feel in life I forgo,
All it takes is a thought of home,
And that warm feeling returns like a lost friend,
Engulfing me, making me smile as it reminisces for me,
Gently whispering in my ear,
That wherever I go,
I will never be alone.
Because in my mind, are the savouring memories,
In my blood, the love of family,
In my soul, the realm of promising dreams,
And in my heart,
Home sweet home.
