It's a place of fiction, yet so real,
Because it's a major cause of the passionate emotions we feel.
It's an abyss of endless hate,
Even though its main aim is to make us relate.
Everyone in it has a dark void and hungry desire,
To feed off the vulnerable souls with open hearts,
Mercilessly devouring traces of purity which they themselves are devoid,
And create monsters with menacing, violent starts.
There are visible divisions over trivial subjects,
Which enslave us and make us their objects.
It's such an environment of immeasurable toxicity,
That to inhale will unleash in you the fiend of atrocity,
You could decide to leave this place,
Before you realise you're in the dark, never ending, entrapped space.
A/N: This poem is a reflection of the bad side of social media in my eyes.
