"This is Jack." Rachel sighed in annoyance at Jack Tarr's greeting. "What's up?"
"I feel like you don't watch emergency broadcasts anymore!" Rachel responds as she helped a family out of their car as she and Tony awaited backup.
"Not even a hello?" Jack teased.
"Not when there's a bloody alien invasion!" Rachel shouts. "Get to the safety. Try and stay off the streets!" She orders the family as others listened in. "Tarr, I need you to get ready for an assault on London."
"Are they coming to us now?"
"Not as far as I know." Rachel assures. "But Loki's full of mischief. Just be ready."
"James?"
"He's back." Rachel informs. "I'll do a full report when I get back but keep an eye out for anything weird." Rachel orders as she helped more people to safety as the Chitauri started to get past Tony a lot easier and quicker.
"Do you need backup?"
"I have backup. Did you know about Phase 2?" Rachel asked.
"What's Phase 2?"
"I'll explain later." Rachel tells him as she pulled out her gun. "I'm just glad I can tell you. I've had enough of secrets." She says as she shot a Chitauri down saving a couple from death a few meters away.
"Call me if something needs to be said."
"Got it." Rachel says before cutting him off. "Where are you Rogers?" She says right as the Chitauri began to shoot explosive blasts at the cars making debris blow up all around her and several civilians. "Run!" She shouts causing even though they already were to run even faster. People were already dropping dead around her but she needed to focus on the ones who were surviving as much as she hated to admit it.
She looked up as Thor flew over her heading straight towards Stark tower where Loki was standing there still with his full attire and Mjølnir in hand at an incredible speed.
Rachel shot down more and more Chitauri as the NYPD began to arrive. She knew they'd need more than just them.
She ran towards the cops as they got out of their vehicles.
"What the heck..." one of them muttered right as Rachel sped to the cops side. "Spitfire? What are you-"
"No time for questions officer." Rachel interrupts as she shot another Chitauri down before she grabbed one of her mini explosives and chucked it towards one of the chariots causing it and two nearby ones to explode as they flew over. "We need to civilians off the streets."
"Who's causing this?" Another asks as she shot down a Chitauri.
"Loki." Rachel states. "Thor's adoptive brother. He's been causing trouble since Stuttgart!" Rachel explained. "Me and Stark went ahead and tried to stop him already! It only ended up with him being chucked out a window!" Rachel continued.
"How is that black hole even happening?" The first cop asked as he ducked to avoid an incoming blast.
"The Tesseract. It's an ancient weapon. Loki used Stark's arc reactor as a power switch." Rachel explains.
"As in Red Skull's weapon?"
"Yes." Rachel confirms. "It's been an annoyance I didn't know of. Just please get as many people to safety as possible."
"You heard her!" The cop yells before Rachel sped off.
She ran until she stopped a couple blocks away and saw a quinjet nearing.
"Thank god!" Rachel exclaimed pressing her earpiece. "Stark! We have our backup!"
"Stark we're on your three heading north east." Natasha informs as they approach.
"What did you stop for drive-through?" Tony yelled as he was being chased by Chitauri. "Swing up Park, I'm going to lay them out for you!" Tony orders. "Speedy, follow the quinjet and get anyone off the streets in the process."
"Copy that!" Rachel responds before heading back towards Stark tower.
Rachel sped underneath the quinjet as the saw Tony fly past Central Station with three chariots behind him. Natasha lowered the guns and fired as they past, the majority blowing up in the process.
"Guys, look out for Loki! He's at the tower still!" Rachel warns as she stopped running for a moment and the quinjet avoided the glass walls of Stark tower spinning up and around it.
"Sir, we have more incoming!" Jarvis informs.
"Fine, let's keep them occupied." Tony suggests as Clint piloted the quinjet around the tower making it easier for Natasha to shoot any chariots that showed themselves.
As Rachel threw another one of her explosives the chariots she blew but they weren't the only ones. She snapped her head up to see the quinjet spiralling down after being shot by most likely Loki.
"Shit." She mutters before moving out of the way enough so she wouldn't be hit. She followed the quinjet as it only just avoided taking down several buildings before crashing in an open area cracking the concrete below.
As the quinjet hanger door opened Rachel rushed over to see Clint, Natasha and Steve looking towards her as they rushed out themselves.
"You took your time!" Rachel complained as they all began to run towards Stark tower, Rachel keeping at an average pace for the time being.
"We've got to get back up there!" Steve shouts as he runs into the chaos.
"Good to see you too!" Rachel sarcastically replies as she followed before using her speed to get the three to Central Station faster which they agreed with and Clint was pretty stunned.
"Woah, you're fast!" He exclaimed.
"I know." Rachel smirked before another ominous sound made its way to Rachel's ears making everyone slowly look up as civilians ran past them.
This would be the moment that Rachel would speed everyone off the streets but Rachel froze on the spot as a giant living armoured leviathan roared through the portal making itself known.
"Oh god..." Rachel whispered with a look of almost fear on her face. It was huge! As in skyscraper huge. As it made its way down it knocked the statue at the top of Central station with ease as it lowered. The four moved to the side in shock as it past them, Chitauri shooting out of its side in the process. They attached to the walls and broke through the glass creating mayhem inside and outside buildings.
"Stark are you seeing this?" Steve asked as they watched another leviathan fly over with dozens of chariots following.
"Seeing." He begins. "Still working on believing."
"They'll kill thousands." Rachel panicked looking towards Steve for any sort of order. She couldn't think properly. "We need them off the streets."
"Where's Banner?" Tony asks. "Has he shown up yet?"
"Banner?" Steve questions.
"Just keep me posted." Tony commands.

As Steve ran around a taxi he sped over to Rachel, Natasha and Clint who were backed up against another taxi for protection.
"We got civilians trapped." Clint informs as Chitauri shoot over them onto the street below them.
"We have to move." Rachel added looking up at Steve as he looked over the edge of the bridge.
"Loki..." he muttered noticing he was with the chariots that had flown over them. Rachel looked over to see what he was doing. You could tell it was Loki as he was doing a lot more damage than what the other Chitauri were doing. Dozens more vehicles were blowing up and civilians were falling like flies.
"Their fish in a barrel down there." Steve tells them his voice laced with worry and both he and Rachel simultaneously duck as a blast hit the window of the taxi they were protected by.
Rachel snapped her head towards Clint as he ran to a taxi nearby and used his bow and arrows to shoot down nearing Chitauri.
"We got this." Natasha tells the two beside her assuringly. "Go." She orders. Rachel and Steve both exchange looks of agreement before Steve looked towards Clint.
"You think you can hold them off?"
"Captain." Clint begins. "It would be my genuine pleasure." He assures before standing up and shooting down the Chitauri.
"Let's go!" Rachel shouts as she gets up with Steve following.
Rachel parkours over the bridges barrier jumping down onto the ground below with a superhero like landing as Steve jumped over and landed on the bus below, rolling forward as the two avoided being shot down by the Chitauri above as they ran. As the Chitauri blew up the ground a car flipped forward and Steve used it as a launching pad sending him a few meters in front of Rachel who smirked before racing to his side.
"Need a lift?" She asks with a cocky smile.
"Really?"
"Are we saving New York or not Cap?" Rachel argues giving him no choice as she picked him up and sped away with him in her arms.
