I might do a part three at some point that takes place a few weeks in the future when they are dating, but for now I'm going to work on different projects. Many of Ryan's friends had come over to hang out and greet Luke, plus there were the people who lived there and Ley.
"Hey Matt." Luke greeted.
"Nice to see you!" Matt welcomed.
"Luke!" Ley exclaimed, walking over to say hi to him.
"Hello Ley!"
"Glad you're here!" Ley exclaimed, looking back and forth between Janet and Luke. She had a mischievous look in her eyes. "Everyone is waiting in the living room. Come on!" Ley led Janet, Luke, and Matt over to the living room where Ryan, Ash, Megan, Zach, Burt, Tyson, and Mark were waiting. Luke walked over and gave everyone hugs, then he went and sat down by Janet.
As everyone was catching up with one another, Burt suddenly had an idea.
"Hey guys, how about while we do this we do Super Smash Brothers Ultimate?" Burt suggested.
"But there are 11 of us and only 8 controllers." Megan pointed out, frowning.
"We could do it so people in the last 3 places switch out." Tyson suggested.
"But then the best people will always be staying in." Zach pointed out.
"What if you can only be in for 5 consecutive rounds?" Ash suggested.
"I guess that works." Megan nodded.
"Yay!" Janet exclaimed. Ryan turned on the switch and passed out controllers. It was decided that Ash, Ryan, Megan, Zach, Ley, Mark, Matt, and Burt would play first and Janet, Luke, and Tyson would wait.
"So, Luke, how was your flight?" Tyson asked, watching the chaos in front of them.
"It was pretty good. I didn't enjoy getting up early, but it made TSA easy to get through." Luke said.
"I'm sure. Have you had anything to eat yet?" Tyson asked.
"ZACH! WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?!" Megan suddenly yelled.
"Sorry, not sorry." Zach laughed.
"No fair." Megan huffed.
"Not really. I had a snack on the plane, but other than that, nothing." Luke said, ignoring the copple squabble in front of them.
"Did you want something? We have some apples, bananas, chips, soda, pop tarts... Take your pick." Tyson offered.
"Oh could I get some Doritos and an apple?" Luke asked.
"Sure, I'll be right back." Tyson sighed, getting up and walking to the kitchen.
"TAKE THAT!" Ryan yelled, hitting Zach, making his fly up into the sky like Team Rocket.
"HEY!" Zach yelled.
"Serves you right!" Megan pouted.
"Here you go!" Tyson said, handing Luke a bowl of Doritos and an apple.
"Thanks so much." Luke thanked.
"No problem." Tyson said.
"MATT!" Mark exclaimed.
"Sorry!"
"I thought we had an alliance!"
"I'm sorry! I was going for Ash!"
"YOU WERE WHAT?" Ash yelled.
"SORRY!" Matt squealed like a little girl.
"You better be!" Ash yelled, hitting him off the edge of the map.
"Hey can I talk to you about something?" Tyson whispered to Luke. "It will be really fast."
"Yeah sure, what's up?"
"Follow me." Tyson said, standing up.
"Where are you going?" Janet asked, watching Luke stand up with Tyson.
"I wanted to show him something." Tyson covered.
"But it's only 3 people left, we are gonna be in soon!" Janet argued. "Can't it wait?"
"We'll be back in time. Don't worry." Tyson assured her.
"Alright, but hurry!" Janet warned. "You can do it Ash and Ley!" Janet cheered.
Tyson led Luke into another room of the house.
"What's up?" Luke asked.
"I wanted to ask you something." Tyson said.
"Shoot."
"Do you like Janet?"
"Wha- What? Wait-wha?" Luke muttered, flustered, "I mean. Why do you ask?"
"Just wondering."
"N-no?"
"Tell the truth." Tyson sighed.
"Alright, you can't tell anyone, but yes. I do like her. But she could never return the feelings, she probably likes someone else..." Luke confessed.
Tyson sighed. "Alright. Cool. That's what I thought."
"You thou-wait... Why?"
"RYAN!" The boys heard two girls scream.
"I think that's our cue to return, we'll talk later." Tyson said, running off to join the others.
"Alright, Janet, Luke, Tyson, you three are in. Zach, Megan, Mark, you're out." Ryan said. The three who were now out gave their remotes to the three who were now in.
"Team on Ryan?" Ash asked, offering her hand to Ley.
"Deal!" Ley said, shaking Ash's hand.
"Hey! No fair!" Ryan pouted.
"Totally fair." Ash and Ley said together. They looked at one another and laughed.
"Leeeey," Ryan whined. "Stop stealing my girlfriend!" Ley just stuck her tongue out at Ryan as the countdown appeared on the screen.
Everyone stayed out of Ash and Ley's way as they enacted their revenge on Ash's boyfriend, targeting him. Meanwhile, Janet was kicking Matt's butt, and Tyson, Burt, and Luke were dueling it out.
Janet was first to eliminate someone, taking down Matt, showing that she wasn't totally awful at video games, but Ryan was a close second, taking out Ley.
"Ash." Ley said, fake dying.
"Ley! Don't leave me!" Ash sobbed.
"Avenge me, and don't forget to take the dogs on their walks." Ley said, dramatically dying on the floor.
"LEEEEEY!" Ash cried out.
"Oh stop being dramatic!" Ryan sighed, shaking his head.
As the two were distracted, Luke came over from his fight and killed off Ryan.
"HEY!" Ash and Ryan yelled.
"HE WAS MINE!" Ash huffed before going trigger-happy and killing Luke.
"Janet!" Luke said, now following Ley's example. "Avenge me."
"I'll try bud!" Janet said, going for Ash.
"Yeah, no." Ash said, kicking Janet off the edge.
Meanwhile, Tyson had eliminated Burt, so it was down to Tyson and Ash.
"We can do this the easy way, or the hard way." Ash said, charging up her c-stick attack. "Come at me bro. You won't, you chicken!" Ash commanded.
"If I come at her, I'll die." Tyson told Matt.
"But if you don't you're a chicken." Matt told Tyson.
Tyson sighed and ran at Ash. Ash let go of her attack, smacking Tyson off the map. He went flying just like a cannonball.
"Good job, Ash." Ryan and Ley said, high-fiving her.
"Hey, Matt, you can take my remote, I need to talk with Ley and Ryan." Ash said, handing over her remote.
"You sure?" Tyson asked.
"Yep!" Ash said with a wink, she turned to walk off.
Ryan, Ley, and Ash went to Ryan's room and sat down.
"We need to find a way to get them together." Ley sighed.
"Tyson texted me that he got Luke to confess that he likes her." Ryan informed his friends.
"Of course he likes her. Anyways, we need to find a way to get them together." Ash sighed.
"Ley, how did you get us together?" Ryan asked.
"I waited." Ley said, clearly not amused.
"Oh, right." Ryan lauged.
"I think they require a different strategy." Ash said.
"I think the problem with them isn't that they are holding in and hiding their feelings from one another, too scared to confess, like with you two. They seem to be fine with flirting, but they are both too oblivious to pick up one another's social cues. Oh. And they are also too scared to confess." Ley explained.
"Janet literally offered her shoulder for Luke in the car." Ash sighed.
"WHAT? DID YOU TAKE PICTURES?" Ley exclaimed.
"Duh." Ash shook her head. "Who do you think I am? Ryan?"
"HEY!" Ryan said, offended.
"No comment." Ash said.
"LETMESEE!" Ley exclaimed.
"Calm down!" Ash squealed, pulling out her phone, showing Ley the pictures.
"Awww!" She cooed.
"Anyways, girls, please stop fangirling and help me out here." Ryan sighed, holding his head with his hands.
"Right." Ash said, snapping out of her trance, and turning off her phone before returning it to her pocket.
"So... What do you think we should do?" Ley asked. Ash's eyes suddenly became bright as an idea showed itself to her.
"What if..."
"TAKE THAT!" Janet shouted, smacking Burt off the edge.
"Janet! HELP!" Megan screamed.
"HEY!" Janet shouted, running over and smacking Zach away from Megan.
"She's MY GIR-FIANCE!" Zach shouted back.
"So what? She's MY friend." Janet said, sticking out her tongue.
"Aww, thanks, Janet." Megan beamed.
"No problem-LOOK OUT!" Janet shouted as Zach came back, this time accompanied by Mark.
"DIE!" Megan shouted, smacking Zach with a flower.
"Really?" Zach asked, unimpressed.
"Uhhh... DIE!" Megan shouted, throwing a pokeball at him. Kyogre came out.
"Ohhhh Sh-"
Megan smacked Zach. "BAD!"
"I was going to say 'Shoot'!" Zach covered quickly, realizing his mistake. He then he moved his hand to his face, gently rubbing it. "Ouch..."
"Don't lie to me." Megan scolded.
"Bam!" Luke shouted, jumping up as he destroyed Tyson.
"Hey!" Tyson complained.
"Heh heh." Luke chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck and settling down.
"EVERYBODY STOP!" Ash yelled, running into the room.
Mark quickly paused the game. "What?" He asked, looking up at Ash from the floor.
"I need to barrow Janet and Luke." Ash said calmly.
"WHAT? But we were doing so well!" Janet whined.
"Come on. We need to talk real fast." Ash sighed. "We're gonna be awhile. Don't wait." Ash told the rest of the players. Zach immediately took Janet's remote and Tyson took Luke's. "Follow me." Ash commanded, leading Janet and Luke back to Ryan and Ley in Ryan's room.
"What did you need?" Luke asked.
"We'll let you out when you tell her." Ryan whispered to Luke.
At the same time, Ley whispered to Janet: "We'll let you out when you tell him."
"What? What do you mean" Janet and Luke asked together.
Ryan, Ley, and Ash ran to the door, slamming it shut.
"WAIT!" Janet exclaimed. She ran over to the door and found that she couldn't open it. It was like something heavy was keeping it closed. What she didn't know is they had put a chair under the door knob to keep it from opening up.
"Will it open?" Luke asked.
"Nope." Janet sighed down the door and sat on the floor. She took her head in her hands and rested her elbows on her knees.
"You okay there?" Luke asked.
"Y-yeah. I just don't like being trapped." Janet sighed, looking up at him. "What do you think they locked us in here for?"
"I have no idea." Luke lied. He knew that Ryan would have to come back at some point as this was his bedroom and Ryan's stuff was here.
"Hey! I know!" Janet exclaimed with some of her signature cheer. "We can phone a friend!" She pulled out her phone, beaming at her cleverness, and called Megan.
It ringed three times before Megan picked up.
"Yeah. HEY I HAD TO ANSWER THE PHONE! STOP ATTACKING ME!"
"NEVER" Janet heard someone shout, though it was quite through the phone, she heard it through the walls of the house and knew the voice to belong to Tyson.
"Hey, Megan, Ryan, Ley, and Ash locked Luke and me in Ryan's room. When you are done with that round-"
"GET LOST TYSON!" Megan shouted.
"-can you come help us out?" Janet finished, despite the interruption.
"Uhhh. Hey, Ryan. Why are Janet and Luke locked in your room?" Megan asked.
Janet could hear words being said, but she couldn't make them out.
"Oh, OK. Cool. Hey, Janet, are you on speaker?" Megan asked.
"No, why?"
"Alright, so Ryan says, once you confess to Luke, he will let you out of his room."
"Con-" She paused, glancing at Luke, "Do that about what?" Janet asked. Luke looked at her weird and Janet just shrugged.
"Oh my gosh, Janet, confess your feelings."
"WHAT?!" Janet exclaimed.
"He'll let you out if you do that."
"But-I can't-what if-No!" Janet mumbled.
"It's what you have to do." Megan shrugged over the phone.
"Wha?"
"MATT I SWEAR TO-IF YOU DON'T STOP RIGHT NOW!" Megan shouted. "Sorry, Janet, gotta go. Just do it! I believe in you. Trust me, you won't regret doing it."
"Wai-" Before Janet could even finish the word, Megan had hung up.
"No good?" Luke asked with a big grin on his face.
"No good." Janet sighed, standing up.
"Here, I'll try." Luke said, patting her shoulder and going to sit on Ryan's bed. He pulled out his phone and dialed Tyson.
It rang 6 times before Tyson answered.
"Kinda busy! What do you want?" Tyson sighed. "MEGAN!"
"YOU DID IT TO ME!" Megan yelled back.
"NOOO!!!" Tyson shouted. He sighed, and Luke heard him adjust. "What do you want?" Tyson asked.
"Ryan's locked me in a room with Janet."
"I've heard."
"Help."
"Sorry dude, I'm not allowed to."
"Please!" Luke begged.
"You know what you have to do, Ryan told you. Until you do it, he's not letting you out of there."
"Please. I don't want it this way!"
"You took too long, now he's forcing you." Tyson shrugged.
"But with Ash and Ryan-"
"With Ash and Ryan, they were different. Just man up and do it. I don't think you'll be disappointed that you did."
"But-"
"TYSON! NEXT ROUND IS STARTING!" Mark yelled.
"Sorry dude, gotta go, but good luck, okay?" Tyson hung up.
"No luck?" Janet asked.
"None." Luke sighed. Janet sat next to him on the bed and rubbed his upper back in circles with the palm of her hand.
"Don't worry. You did all you could." She sighed. She moved her hand back to her lap and looked at her hands. Luke was doing the same thing.
"Luke, I need to tell you something." Janet said at the same time Luke said:
"Janet, I need to tell you something."
"You first." They said together. "Oh, me first." "Uhh."
"Together?" Janet suggested.
"Together." Tyson nodded.
"I like you." They said at the same time.
"What?" Janet said.
"You-" Luke said, eyes wide. "Like me?"
"You like me?!" Janet exclaimed.
"Ye-yeah." Luke nodded.
"Like... LIKE like me?" Janet asked, Luke nodded.
"And you?"
"LIKE like you."
"Oh." Luke sighed. Then a smile crept across his face.
"Hey, uhh... Would you maybe want to go to the movies or to dinner or to the park or anything really-"
"Janet." Luke sighed, cutting him off.
"Yeah?" Janet asked nervously.
"I'd love that... But maybe only one? We could maybe go get food together and discuss what we are?" Luke suggested.
"I'd love that." Janet giggled. The two stood up and started pounding on the door.
"RYAN!" The two yelled.
"COMING!" Ryan yelled back. He opened the door. "Did you..."
Luke grabbed Janet's hand and held it up. "We're going out for lunch. We'll be back soon." Luke began to lead Janet outside.
"WAIT!" Ryan yelled.
"What?"
"1. You don't have a car. 2. It's like 10:00."
"Oh. Right." Luke sighed, looking at the floor.
"HEY! ASH!" Ryan called.
"YEAH?" Ash called.
"COME HERE!"
"COMING!" Ash yelled, "What's up?"
"Wanna go on a double date to brunch with these two?"
Ash's eyes lit up. "YES!"
"Wait... You weren't invited!" Janet complained.
"Just go with it. We won't be going anywhere without a ride." Luke whispered to Janet.
"Can we invite Zach and Megan?" Ash asked.
"NO!" Ryan, Janet, and Luke shouted.
"HEY!" Zach yelled from the other room.
"WE HEARD THAT!" Megan shouted.
"YOU GUYS ARE TO FLIRTY!" Ryan yelled. "Run." The two couples sprinted outside and to the car. They hopped in and drove off, leaving an upset Megan and Zach with a bunch of single dudes and a Ley.
"No fair... Why wasn't I invited?" Ley pouted. She turned to see Megan and Zach giving one another eskimo kisses.
"Nope! I'm out." She said, throwing in the towel. She went inside to go play smash bros with the dudes.
"So Ley," Tyson said, mischief in his voice.
"Who do you like?" Matt asked.
"No way. Not doing that. I'm the cupid here."
"Tell us!" Mark shouted.
"Never." Ley said, sticking her tongue out at them. Her work had been done, once again.
