"What did she say?" asked Lee
"She spoke mostly about how much she loved him," she replied.
"I can see why," Lee smiled warmly as they both gazed at where the pair had been moments before. She informed her friend about the new intel and Lee's eyes sunk slightly.
"The whole world ey? What the fuck," she took out another cigarette. Chae's phone buzzed and she saw it was a notification from the group chat. The girls were on their way back. Jennie sent her a private message. She replied swiftly. She didn't know when she would be back but she would let Jennie know as soon as she is. She got a heart emoji back, she sent one as well but Jennie sent her a dozen. She laughed softly and sent a blushing face, once she looked up she saw Lee smirking at her. She gave her a questioning look.
"She making sure you okay?" she teased. Lee chuckled as she saw Chae's cheeks become a little more rosy.
"E'dawn told me how your sexy girlfriend nearly killed him the other night. Who is the lucky gal?" she asked.
"Jennie Kim," Chae stated blandly, her mind was preoccupied with what might be in the box and the information she had just been told. Lee's mouth dropped for a second time that day. This woman's nonchalance was impeccable. She looked at Chae in amazement.
"Who in the actuality of fuck are you?" Chae giggled as she slapped Lee's cheeks playfully. The older girl shook her head and asked Chae to slap her again. She was clearly in a dream. Chae shook her head with a ghost of a smile as she looked down at the box.
"What do you think's inside?" she asked. Lee looked at her flabbergasted, this girl genuinely didn't care.
"Hold on! The box can wait. Can we just give a little bit of our attention to the seriousness which is everything that just happened," Lee shook her head in disbelief.
"Firstly, charming man you spoke about turns out to be E'dawn formerly of Pentagon and Triple H who's girlfriend happens to be, essentially one of the 'Originals' of this industry," she pronounced it more like ori-gi-nuls. Chae tried not to laugh at the exaggeration
Lee moved around to face her full on and the red heads eyebrows rose in entertainment as Lee animated every word she stated.
"Who," she pointed in Chae's face, "Also happens to formerly be of Triple H. You two just have a fat chat. E'dawn turns out to be more charming than you described and well shit we possibly know where Siyeon might be. THEN," she paused for dramatic effect with her hands raised and her face etched in shock. Chae was completely engrossed in the performance.
"Then, you," she pointed at Chae vigorously, "YOU, HAVE THE AUDACITY, THE NAIVITY, UTTER GALL, COMPLETE DISRESPECT," she accentuated each vowel and she shook her head in feigned disgust. Chae smiled broadly, this was incredible.
"To tell me, without a care in the world, that you are dating the woman who has been referred to as 'YG's princess', practically royalty. What do you have to say for yourself?" Lee looked at her with wide eyes.
"We're not really dating, just seeing where things go," Chae shrugged. Lee stumbled backwards and let out a deep seeded laugh. It seemed to a last an eternity but between breaths she was able to release some screeches.
"Bitch! I Live For You! My goodness, you're just coasting. Literally just being yourself and not giving a shit who has a problem with it. That's rare Rosie. It's admirable," Lee took out another cigarette as she continued to chuckle. Chae had laughed with her and she had a few tears as well. She couldn't remember when last she had cried from literal joy. It felt good.
"Alright, alright. I'll try to take things a little more seriously. If that was your definition of serious," she chuckled at Lee. She struggled with the lighter as she was still thinking about Chae's never mind attitude. Successfully lighting it, she blew the smoke out and turned towards the box.
"Did he tell you what it is?" asked Chae
Lee shook her head and suddenly turned serious after hearing the mention of E'dawn. She squinted at the red head as the smoke left her. Chae thought her nostrils, as they flared with smoke, looked like an old school steam engine releasing as much of the burning coal as it could muster.
"Rosie, I don't know if you know but E'dawn and Hyuna were in the same agency and in the same team. Almost all agencies forbid dating within your own team and even if it isn't stated it's highly frowned upon. Even Hyuna, with all her clout couldn't escape the shame that came with that,"
"Jokes aside, and I know you're not really in the agency but Jennie is. As things stand now you are officially a part of team Blackpink. Whether your seriously dating or just casual if anything comes out it could be detrimental," Chae listened carefully and shook her head in understanding. They returned their attention to the box. Opening it Chae saw that it was full of syringes. They all contained a liquid. She stood up abruptly and looked at the other boxes in the deserted warehouse.
Lee scanned the contents of the box and immediately understood Chae's action. The red head made her way up to where E'dawn and Lee had gotten the box and opened up another. It was filled with syringes. Lee looked at the boxes at the bottom. They were filled with syringes. Chae looked around and realised that the large stacks of what she had assumed to be waste was something entirely else.
Jisoo thought she had seen motion but it was her imagination. They had been stuck in traffic for about an hour since they left the Tanabe's. She couldn't understand where it was coming from. It was the middle of the afternoon, people should have been at work already. She saw Lisa yawn and she soon found herself doing the same. Jennie was already dozing off. Her eyes shut slowly. It had been a long meeting. Lisa saw Jisoo's eyes closing. Tapping her shoulder she told her to switch. She would drive them home.
The moment Jisoo was in the back seat she found herself falling asleep. The rustle had awakened Jennie and she saw Lisa in the driver's seat. The blonde gave her a full tooth smile.
"You two must have drilled that couple. You look like you came off worse for ware," she nudged towards the back.
"Something like that, Lis," she stretched her arms. They moved slightly. Lisa wondered what was causing this traffic. She let go of the steering wheel and waited. She stared out the window.
"How's things with Chu?" asked Jennie. Lisa smiled and turned towards the back. She snickered and placed a finger on her lips.
"Don't tell her but she's making me ignore my self-doubts. I can't tell you how epic that is," Lisa reminisced happily about the few dates she and Jisoo have been on. She allowed herself to believe that there would be plenty more.
"We still got some things to work out. Despite having resided in Korea for most of my life there's still a bit of a culture barrier. I'm still working on getting over my resent of well the favouritism and being a foreigner. But Jisoo's helping me along the way, I need it," she finished.
"You deserve to be happy Lisa. Remember that," said Jennie. Lisa nodded and internally replied that she did too. For once, Jennie actually seemed genuinely happy and it's even better that it's because of Chae. However, Lisa knew that her best friend had "baggage". She wondered if the red head had revealed anything to Jennie. Lisa knew she could tell the others but it wasn't her place to. She also had this innate feeling Chae did not want her to.
Considering YG's threat and the lack of understanding they had about everything she knew she couldn't be careless. . She peaked at Jennie. This was so fucking shit. When was her Unnie going to get a break. Jennie deserved to be happy. Rosie deserved to be happy. Jisoo deserved to be happy and yes, Lisa knew she deserved it too. Her eyes widened. She couldn't comprehend what Blackpink was without all of the girls she mentioned. In fact upon Chae's arrival the team finally felt whole.
"Jen, can I tell you something," she said. Jennie nodded and waited expectantly.
"Whatever it is Rosie's involved in, I think we should still see her as a member of Blackpink. I...I can't fathom the t..eam without her, with...out any of us," the words caught in her throat and the raw emotion made Jennie's eyes glisten. Jisoo shifted as she heard her girlfriend's confession. Covering herself fully, she couldn't agree more.
Chae covered her mouth with one hand. The enormity of what was before her was finally sinking in. She desperately wanted to know how E'dawn and Hyuna did this. She was certain 2NE1 must have been involved. Lee's flash bounced off the wall. Chae placed her phone back in to position and continued taking photos. They needed to document this but moreover they needed to place this evidence in a more secure location. She decided to take photo's as she thought.
G Soul disposed of the bodies as Jung Jinwoo destroyed any form of evidence. Jinwoo's phone rang loudly as he threw in all the photos and files in to the fire. He smiled happily as he saw the caller ID.
"Hyuna! Where's Dawny, I want to talk with my boy," he could feel her roll her eyes through the phone.
"Shush, where are you?" she asked.
"Don't worry, we're where we need to be," he laughed. Hyuna shook her head.
"Tell G to pick up his phone," she ended the call. Jinwoo pouted at the curt ending and shouted at his partner to pick up his phone. G Soul, stopped what he was doing and took out his phone.
"Hello," he said.
"Ah, G, thank God, I didn't want to be on the phone for another three hours. Are you guys okay?" she asked. He threw his cigarette on to the floor and answered her.
"Yes, we're good. I'm getting rid of the bodies while Jinny is annihilating all the shit these assholes had. We drove their vehicles as far away from here and blew them up. Should look like an accident, made sure," Hyuna was grateful she didn't have to ask him for what she wanted to know.
"And the girls?" she asked.
"Jessi and Hyolyn are keeping an eye on them. Jess seemed like she woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. I wouldn't want to be near that warehouse unless my name was Lee Hi or Roseanne Park," he let out a laugh. She thanked him and told him to keep her updated.
He gruffed in response and saw that Jinny was laughing hysterically on the phone. He went straight back to work. Hyuna turned to E'dawn but saw he was on the phone. She huffed and looked at the time. Suddenly a big range rover honked at her. She recognised who it was and twirled towards the car. CL watched blankly and urged the heavens to hurry Hyuna's ass up.
"Hey baby," purred Hyuna.
"Don't come at me with that shit. Why did you miss the flight? Do you know how much first class tickets cost?" she gritted.
"No I actually don't," Hyuna shook her head innocently. CL almost believed her. She handed her the new tickets and gave a wave at E'dawn. He returned it and talked cheerily on the phone.
"Thank you. Also my people took care of things on that side. They'll stay there as back up as well as keeping tabs on the warehouse. Until ofcourse you decide on what to do with it. They're under your wing," said Hyuna.
"Thank you, I appreciate it," said CL.
"No worries. We'll try to do our best on the other side. If anything happens we'll let you know immediately," Hyuna nodded dutifully. CL looked between her and E'dawn.
"You two better come back," she said. Hyuna's face was plastered with a deeply genuine smile as she heard a hint of concern in CL's voice.
"Don't worry baby, I'll always come back to you," CL shook her head and knew the other woman just had to ruin the moment. She threw up the middle finger as she drove off. Hyuna's smile remained as the car headed in to the distance with E'dawn waving happily away.
