when i walk into david's house, i see him sitting in his favorite spot on the couch, a blanket wrapped around his body making him look super cozy
he slowly leans forward with the controller in his hand, getting into his game, as he bites his lip in concentration
i walk around the opposite side of the couch, slowly sitting down, watching his character move on screen
he plays the same game for a while, surviving easily, until the it ends and he gets a victory royale
i clap "good job baby"
he jumps slightly, looking over with wide eyes, but once he realizes it's me, he relaxes
"i didn't even hear you come in"
i shrug "you were into your game and i didn't want to disrupt you"
a smile forms on his face as he sets his controller on the table in front of him before opening his arms
i get up from my spot, running into his arms, causing him to lay back onto the couch as i lay on top of him, both of us laughing
"you're so warm and cozy" i mumble into his chest
he laughs "i have been sitting here for a while"
i laugh as i pull my face out of his chest, looking up at him, a smile on both of our faces as i lean in to kiss his lips
"do you want to play some more?" i ask
he shakes his head "no, we can watch a movie or something"
i smile, knowing he's trying to be considerate of me, even though he wants to continue "baby, i like watching you play"
he raises an eyebrow "really?"
i nod, laughing "yes"
he smiles "okay, then i will play some more"
i smile, getting off of him "good"
he sits up in the position he was sitting in before, wrapping the large blanket around the two of us before grabbing his controller off the table, setting up a new game
i wrap my arms around his waist, cuddling into his side
"is this okay?" i ask
he looks down at me, smiling widely "of course it is"
"i just didn't want to mess up your game"
he laughs shaking his head "you could never"
i smile as i turn my attention to the screen

i don't know how long we are sitting there, but kristen and scott showed up, so i'm guessing it's around three in the afternoon
"hey guys" david says "let me just finish up this game real quick"
"sure, take your time" scott says, sitting down on the couch, kristen joining shortly after
david finishes a few minutes later with a victory royale
"victory royale, nice" scott complimets
i lean off of david, allowing him to put his controller and stuff away
i stretch before looking at scott "it's his tenth in a row"
his eyes widen "damn dave, who knew you were that good?"
david smiles widely "y/n did"
i nod, laughing
"ugh, boys and fortnite" kristen mumbles
i shrug "i love watching dave play"
her eyes widen "why? it's so boring"
"not to me"
david laughs "yeah, she even cheers me on"
i nod, laughing along with him
kristen rolls her eyes "whatever, let's just film this video"
and to scott she says "i'll be back in a minute"
she walks out of the living room heading to, presumably, the bathroom
"sorry about her" scott apologizes "she's just mad that you are so supportive of david playing video games when she's so against me playing them. she thinks it makes her look bad and in this instance, it kinda does"
i smile warmly at him "you don't need to apologize for actions that aren't yours, but i appreciate the gesture"
he nods, smiling
david sits down next to me on the couch, wrapping his arms around my waist as he rests his head on my shoulder
"now i'm sleepy" david mumbles, tiredly
i smile, turning my head to kiss his lips
"hi sleepy, i'm y/n"
we both laugh as kristen storms into the room
"really?" she asks, groaning
scott stands up "can we film tomorrow instead?"
i nod, smiling "sure scott. see you"
he waves "bye guys"
"bye scott" dave says
as soon as the front door closes, david sighs a breath of relief "thank god they left. i don't know how much longer i could've kept my mouth shut about kristen being a bitch"
i laugh "so it wasn't just me?"
he playfully rolls his eyes, making me laugh again
"what do you want to do with our newly found free time?" i ask, turning around in his arms, wanting to look at his face
he shrugs "whatever you want to do"
"do you want to play fortnite?"
he shakes his head "nah, i'm kinda fizzled out on that"
i smile "okay, then how about a movie or we continue watching that show on netflix"
he smiles "sure, as long as i get to cuddle you"
i laugh as i grab the remote, turning on netflix
as i scroll through the movies, david gently push me back onto the couch, crawling on top, resting his head on my stomach and wrapping his arms around my waist
my other hand instantly goes to his hair, playing with it
"what movie, babe?"
"maybe a comedy"
"this one?" i ask, hovering over a title
"yeah"
i click on it before setting the remote on the table, both of my hands now in his hair as we watch the movie together, just enjoying each other's company
