The day had resembled a stygian blackness of a dark cave, filled with dull colors and bleakness. A black veil covered the Crown Princess's face as she silently mourned and cried over the death of her parents, the King and Queen of the kingdom of Silla. They were buried before her eyes, and her royal subjects bowed before the blue blood, paying their respects to the late couple. Her personal butler had watched from behind her while she wept, his eyes holding coldness and a glint of joy.
Hyunjin, the Crown Princess's butler, then noticed another royalty move from beside him, and out of the corner of his eye, he noticed the figure as the Crown Prince of the neighboring kingdom, Prince Jisung of Baekje. His fists clenched tightly as he stared at the Prince closing in towards (Y/N) who was slouched on her position, crying at her loss. He held her shoulders in a soothing manner, and Hyunjin didn't miss the way her frame shook when Jisung's hands came in contact with her hanbok. He then had the sudden urge to kill someone, his bloodthirstiness stirring inside him.
Just then, after the ceremony, the princess requested for a private moment in her quarters, which was quickly complied to by her subjects, as she was escorted by a single court lady then was ushered out of the perimeter once (Y/N) had reached the safety of her small area.
When he had found the chance, Hyunjin quickly changed into an all black attire, a black cloth wrapped around his head, covering his nose down and concealing his identity. As a man of power, he ordered two more professional assassins to help him with the job, quietly cornering the Crown Prince while he was escorted to a private room he was staying at during his visit to Silla.
Swiftly attacking the guards, the two hired killers quickly finished them all off, leaving Hyunjin to take care of the prince of Baekje alone. He walked into his room, pushing the doors open as quiet as he can, only to find Jisung silently reading a scripture written by one of the royal scribes of a foreign country.
Without further ado, Hyunjin pulled out his sword and wordlessly beheaded the poor prince.

After spending a few hours meditating in her quarters, Crown Princess (Y/N) called the attention of a court lady, telling her to escort her on her way to the palace. A few royal subjects had come her way to pay their respects to her late parents, but she shook them off and continued on her path until she had finally reached the privacy of her own room in the palace.
Hyunjin trailed behind the princess, following her around like a lost puppy. Now, he was back in his own robes, a stark contrast to his assassin attire earlier, when he executed the Crown Prince of Baekje in secret. As he closed the doors while ordering the court ladies and the chamberlains to give them privacy. They complied to his request, and no sooner than a second, the two were alone.
Alone and free to continue their secretive love affair.
(Y/N) sat on her bed, her hands reaching up to flip the black veil over her head, allowing her lover to see her downcast eyes, tear-stained cheeks, and her quivering lips. She held onto the skirt of her hanbok tightly, still crying.
Hyunjin, who had, and would always be by her side every step of the way, knelt before her. He sat on his knees while looking up at his queen, his eyes filled with mad devotion and adoration for her, and while she wept, he smiled fondly at her.
"I did it, I killed him, just the way you wanted me to." he says, inhaling the princess's scent before breathing out in pure elation, "I have him beheaded, and his head is being returned to his hometown."
"I told you I would be your slave," he smiled maniacally at her. "Love me, use me, hurt me, do anything to me and I would do anything for you." his smile and voice held insanity and obsessiveness, perfectly matching his overly mad personality.
(Y/N), consumed by his manipulative qualities, wrapper her fingers around Hyunjin's arms and pulled him up, helping him plant his figure on the bed. The male then hugged her tightly once he was on the bed with her, wrapping his long arms around her frail figure as he used his hands to removed the ornaments on her hair, freeing the mop of beauty that was held by clasps and clips.
The young princess laid her head on his chest, her slender fingers reaching up to thread them through his hair, running them through his soft locks. Hyunjin hummed in response, sighing in content as he twirled a strand of hair around his finger.
(Y/N) plump lips formed a tender smile, "I love you, Hyunjin. I always will." she held up her head and gave him a kiss on his lips.
"If I could, I would take us out of here and bring the two of us to a safe place, somewhere no one can find us, a place where it is only known to us, and only us," (Y/N) breathed out against Hyunjin's lips.
The young subject groaned at the feeling, and his hand flew to her torso to undo the knot of her hanbok. She let out a giggle, looking down, wanting to see what he will do to her.
"You do not need to do that," he says. "I will do all the dirty work, I will kill everyone that stands in our way, and I will dispose of them in whatever way you want me to. None of them will get to hurt you, I vow to you. Killing for you is my hobby, and I would do it over and over and over again if it means keeping you safe from everyone who tries to take you away."
"Like that good for nothing Prince Jisung," he sneered.
With his words, (Y/N) shivers involuntarily, nerves running down through her spine. The princess knew she should be terrified with his words, for she knew that he was a psychotic man that would do anything just to get what he wants, but somehow he had crept into her heart, manipulating her once rational mind into something much more drawn to mania.
She knew that the way his hands were roaming her body is inappropriate, and she should have him beheaded for it. But she couldn't. Because in her clouded mind, he was her angel, the one who saved her from the evil people.
But little did she know, he was the one evil all along.
Hyunjin's hands travel down from her hair to her upper half, and she becomes intoxicated with his touch.
Insanity, madness.
Love, lunacy.
