"Can we have it by tomorrow?"
"Ight, thanks man."
As I hung up with Trell, Ty's right man, I spun around in the chair and got on the computer to check my emails and anything else important.
As soon as I logged on, my heart skipped a beat. Stacy was my screen saver... how could I ever forget? I smiled at the picture remembering all the good things that happened between us before this happened. I pressed my lips together staring at the picture.
"Dad!" I heard Amber call my name, following with her footsteps running up the stairs.
"Hmm?" I said looking over at the door way as she walked in.
"You have a visitor."
"A visitor?"
"Yeah. Some lady says she needs to talk to you."
I nodded. "Send her up."
"Okay." She said nodding and walked back down the stairs. I let my focus land back on the computer screen saver and just about went into deep thought, forgetting about what Amber just told me.
"Hello Christopher."
I looked up to see Konie walk in and shut the door behind her. I didn't say anything, I just looked at her.
"So, how have you been?" She asked sitting down in front of me. I cleared my throat and sat up in my chair, focusing back on the computer.
I heard her light laugh. "Where's wifey?" She asked, but I still kept quiet.
"So you're just going to stay quiet?"
I gave her a what do you want look and she slightly smiled.
"So y'all over?"
I squinted my eyes at her.
"What?" I spoke up.
"Are the both of you over?"
"How...what does that have to do with anything? Especially you." I said.
"Well, that brings me to what I needed to talk to you about."
I'm so confused right. "Well what is it?" I asked.
"I..." She trailed off, debating if she should keep going. I honestly don't think she should keeping going. When she looked up in my eyes, I already knew what she was trying to say.
"You're kidding right?" I asked and she shook her head no.
"I know that feeling is there between us." She said smiling. Is this bitch insane? I looked at her and laughed shaking my head, continuing my work on the computer.
She's really lost her mind.
"You know where the door is." I said, still shaking my head. She actually thinks my feeling for her are still there. She thought wrong.
"Are you fucking serious?" She asked, now upset.
"Yep." I said popping the 'p'. "I have no feelings for you. If you hadn't noticed, I've been taken for 7 years. This ring means something." I said showing her my wedding ring.
I know she was fired up by the look in her eyes but I didn't care. I'm done listening to Konie. All she does is start up more shit from before, so hopefully, it won't be a problem to cut her ass off.
"What the fuck does she have that I don't!?" She was starting to get loud.
"First of all, chill." I said typing away. "Second, I'm not about to compare. It's been over between us and it's still over." I said. "I love my wife and only my wife."
"But Chris.." She reached over and touched my arm, gently rubbing it.
I stopped typing and looked at her. "I suggest you leave." I said pulling my arm back.
"And if I don't?" She crossed her arms and sat back in her chair.
"Would you just leave? Shit."
"Nope." She said mocking me. "I'm not leaving until you feel what I feel."
It was taking everything in my power and for the love of and sake of my family to not drag this hoe out.
"You're trippin' over bullshit." I said.
She cocked her head to the side. "So loving someone back is bullshit?!"
"Loving someone like you is bullshit." I said in a calm voice, trying not to get loud back with her.
I could tell she was getting madder by the minute.
"Just leave." I said to her again. "It'll be worth it."
"I'M NOT FUCKING LEAVING UNTIL YOU FUCKING LOVE ME BACK-"
"BITCH WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU YELLING AT?!"
All of a sudden Stacy walked through the door pissed as ever. Oh goddamn. I quickly hopped up ready for anything.
"Why thehell are you here, this has nothing to do with you! Damn!" Konie said.
"You're in my house, so whatever happens in this house, I'm part of it too." Stacy said standing her ground. "I suggest you leave like he said." Stacy said referring to my statement.
"And if I don't?" Konie said.
"Don't try me right now." Stacy said eyeing her.
"Why not?" Chris belongs to me anyways, he was mines first-"
"Guess who was cuffed first?" Stacy said raising an eyebrow. "I'm not sbout to fight you over a married man, that's childish, we ain't in highschool Konie."
"Says the one who took him from me." Konie mumbled on the side.
"No one stole him from your ass! How was I supposed to know he was yours, you went M.I.A, I don't keep up you."
I raised my hand. I need to say something. Stacy looked at me and shugged.
I cleared my throat. "Just to clesr things up, me and Konie were over when I met you." I said looking at Stacy.
"No we weren't-"
"Yes we were." I argued back. "You know what it was when we first got togther, so just let it go because me and you won't ever happen-"
"Nigga shut the fuck up!"
"You shut the fuck up, you dont tell MY man to shut the fuck up, I only do that, not you." Stacy said getting all in her face.
"I suggest you back the hell up Stacy."
"What? You gone hit me? I dare your ass to swing on me, BITCH SWING." She dared and I saw Konie's fist balling up.
I went over and grabbed Stacy back, pulling her near me.
"You're not going to nothing so un-ball your fist you piece of shit!"
Uh-oh.
"You're the most trifling, sneakiest, ass bitch I ever met in my life, how the hell are you even alive?"
"Baby, stop-"
"No I'm going to say this because she needs to hear this."
"I dont have to hear nothing, so I suggest you listen to your husband."
"Why didn't you listen to him when he told you to leave? Huh? After all he's yours correct?"
Konie couldn't help but stand there kind if defeated.
"Exactly." Stacy finished, and I loosened my grip. "Its hitting you back in the face and you see that." She said softly. "You and mom are both seeing that."
Wait....what?
I let go of her completely, and she fixed herself up. "I told you and you failed to listen." She said shaking her head.
"What happened?" I asked. They both looked at me. Stacy slightly smiled. "I guess I might as well tell you." She said shrugging.
"Tell what?"
"Stacy, don't.." Konie began to beg. What in the hell? "Don't tell him."
"Tell me what?" I asked confused.
"You might want to take a seat for this story-"
"Stacy." Konie said sternly and Stacy shot her glance. I sat down on my desk.
"Shut up because you should have listen the first time. You and mom are so fucking hardheaded, it doesn't make any sense and you both are grown ass women."
"Knock, knock." We all looked up to see Lyric walking through the door. "Am I here in time?"
"What are you doing?" Konie said officially turning her attention to her.
"What you mean? I can't hang with nobody now?" Lyric asked sitting her purse down beside me. Konie gave her a look and Lyric shurgged. "Continue with your story boo." Lyric indicated to Stacy, sitting on my desk also.
Stacy sat down in a rolling chair. "Well if you all must know, me and Konie weren't just bestfriend, we were also-"
"Do you really have to tell them!?"
"Konie yes!" Stacy stated. "Anyways, like I was saying before I was INTERRUPTED." She said eyeing her before turning her focus back on me.
"She's my halfsister."
I almost broke my neck when she said that. "WHAT?" Me and Lyric almost yelled.
"Look long story short, she's my dad's child from a previous marriage. I didn't like it either, but it is what is it right?"
I still could not process this. HALFSISTER? What could she have done so bad to make Stacy dislike her so much?
"I didn't know about Konie until I was like 10, so my parents always kept her away from me until that point. I mean, I didn't get along with her right away, but over time, I got used to her and we became good friends." She explained.
Me and Lyric looked over at one another, taking all of this in. We could hear Konie taking a deep sigh in nervousness. "But don't get me wrong, she wasn't that bad of a person then." She explained. "Even though I gave her pure hell for a good long time...I just just testing her, just to see how she was."
"But anyways, lest fast forward ti the moments that were noticeable and important." She adjusted herself in this seat.
"Now this is the ironic part, now that I think about it." Stacy said fixing herself up the chair playing with her bracelets. "So, I never knew Konie kind of had a things for girls, I was young, didn't understand it." She paused for a minute.
"She always acted funny around me, and I pinned pointed it out when I was like...13 and she was 15. I never knew why, I thought maybe she was getting older and wanted space." She continued."Fast forward, I was now 16 she was 18. Went to this party, came back around midnight. Walked upstairs only to hear..sounds if you catch my drift." She said.
"I called there names, and got no answer, only more sounds. I walker past my mom's room door, to see it only cracked. I peaked through the crack only to see those two in a gridlock, nothing on, pure skin."
She shivered a bit.
"She fell in love with her stepmother, I guess you can say." She shrugged. "Not only that, but the reason she acted so weird is because she kind of had feelings for me, but she always took it out on my mom, sexually that is, which pissed me off. She's married to our dad and you want to ruin it for everyone, like bitch come on, you can killed getting into some mess like that."
I agreed.
"From that day, I couldn't stand the both of them. I confronted. them about what I saw, warn them that they really screwed up, but once dad found out, he quickly divorced my mom and Konie was long, so now it was just me..once again." She slightly smiled.
"Until 2 years later, on my 18th birthday." I could feel myself blush a little. "Mom brought Chris over as her fiancé and my present."
"Daammnn." Lyric said laughing. "That's fucking crazy!" She shook her head.
"So let me get this straight." I paused. "Konie and your mom knew what they were getting into, yet still done what they did behind you and your dad's back, but after all that, 2 years later, it replayed, but only in a successful way?" I said referring to our marirage and she nodded.
"Now they mad about that, and on top of it all, Lyric is running after me, knowing what she is getting into if Konie found out!" Stacy said laughing.
"Shit." I couldn't help but be shocked. Wow.
I looked over at Konie to see her kind of embarrassed and she should be to be honest. Going through all this trouble over something that happened in the past.
"You fell in love with your stepfather.." Lyric said softly with a smile inching on her face. I couldn't help but laugh a little. That is pretty ironic...somehwat weird, yet crazy, at the same time if you asked me. Stacy just nodded.
I have a feeling that this was just the beginning of a new start.
