A/N: sorry this took me so freaking long! hopefully, this extra long chapter makes up for it. also just to let u know they're playing indoor soccer since it's December and all.

"Oh, uh, hey Amelia," Philip said as he awkwardly let go of Theo's hand.

"Hi, Amelia," Theo said confidently, grabbing Philip's hand back.

Amelia looked at their interlinked hands bitterly. "It's princess Amelia to you."

"You play soccer, Amelia?" Philip asked, trying to break the tension between the girls.

She turned to Philip with a bright smile. "Yeah! But I didn't know you played soccer, Philly."

Philly? Oh, two can play at that game, Theo thought. "Really? I've known Pip soo long. We've played soccer together for, well, as long as I can remember," Theo bragged.

Amelia scoffed. "Whatever. Me and Philip had so much fun the other day in my car. Right, Philly?"

"You mean, Philip and I," Theo corrected with a glare.

"Okay, nerd," Amelia responded, "See you on the field, Philly." She skipped off over to her team with her bouncing golden curls in tow.

"Let's destroy that loser," Theo said viciously as she marched over to their team.

Philip quickened his pace to catch up with her. "I don't know why you don't like her so much."

Theo gave him an exasperated look. "She is just awful."

"I think she's nice," Philip disagreed.

"Of course you would think that," Theo mumbled. "The game's about to begin. We better get to coach."

~Meanwhile on the sidelines~

"Burr," Alexander spat. "It's been a while."

"Not long enough," Aaron mumbled under his breath.

"Oh, Theodosia!" Eliza greeted. "You'll never guess what I have to tell you."

"What is it?" she asked.

"I'm pregnant!" Eliza exclaimed.

"Not another one," Aaron complained, picturing another mini Alexander.

Theodosia stepped on his foot and he stopped saying whatever else he was going to say. "That's great, Liza. Congratulations!" Theodosia told her. "Do you know the gender?"

"No, we want it to be a surprise," Eliza said at the same time that Alex said, "It's a girl."

"Its' name is Chicken Nugget," Alexander Jr. told Theodosia.

"I know you guys were running out of names since you have so many children, but Chicken Nugget?" Burr asked.

Theodosia elbowed him and said, "That's a fantastic name."

"That will not be the child's name. Oh, look the game is starting," Eliza said.

~5 minutes left in the game~

Amelia dribbled down the field expertly and went past all the defenders with ease. The only thing between the goal and Amelia now was Theo (and the goalie). Amelia smiled at her cruelly before pushing her over and dribbling right by her. Theo sat on the ground, stunned from Amelia's actions. Amelia skillfully shot and the ball landed directly in the back of the goal.

Aaron shot out from his chair. "Ref!" he shouted. "That was foul play! Red card! Red card!"

"I didn't see anything," the referee said.

"That was so a red card. She pushed my daughter down," Aaron retaliated.

"Sir, please sit down. This is a children's soccer game," the referee stated calmly. Aaron muttered angrily but returned back to his seat. Alexander snickered at him.

"Nice try," Philip said as he reached his hand down to help Theo up.

"Thanks," she replied halfheartedly while dusting herself off.

"Philip! The game!" Alex shouted from the sidelines, trying to get him away from Theo.

Philip's head snapped up and he realized the ball was coming straight towards him. But as he was about to get the ball the referee blew the whistle signaling the end of the game.

"A five to zero loss. Not bad," Philip said to Theo sarcastically.

"Six to zero. You forgot the last one," Theo corrected.

"Even better," Philip said with fake cheerfulness.

"Philly!" Amelia shrieked. "That was such a good game. You played great."

"Oh, thanks," Philip said. "Listen, uh, I gotta go. See you at recess!"

"Alright," Amelia responded, puzzled as to why someone wouldn't want to talk to her.

Philip ran off to his parents. "Great job, Philip," Eliza said cheerfully.

"We lost six to zero," Philip said blatantly.

"You're right. You played awful," Angelica supplied.

"No, Philip played wonderfully. It's the other teammates that failed, especially that Burr," Alexander argued.

"What about my daughter?" Aaron growled, joining the conversation.

"Oh, nothing, just that Philip's better than her," Alex challenged.

"Not again," Eliza groaned. "Would you look at the time? It's not-argue-with-Burr-o'clock."

"What? That's not a time," Alexander protested.

"Guess we have to go. Bye, Theodosia," Eliza said, walking off with her family.

~At the Hamilton household~

"Ready to get a Christmas tree?" Alexander asked with an ax in his hands.

"What do you mean 'get'?" Eliza asked. She kept her eyes glued to the Hallmark Christmas movie that was on the tv. "We have a perfectly good tree that doesn't need to be chopped down or taken care of."

"I've decided that this year we are going to chop a tree down as a family," Alex declared.

"Shhhhh," Eliza hushed him. "Penelope is about to find out who her mystery date to the Christmas ball is."

Alex clicked the off button on the remote and the tv flickered off. "DAD!" Philip yelled. "Now, we're never gonna find out who it is!"

"Thanks a lot," Angelica complained while crossing her arms and sinking into the couch.

"It was obviously that nerdy guy who had a crush on her anyways," Alexander said.

"Now, you've spoiled it for us," Eliza groaned. She turned to glare at him and noticed the ax. "W-what are you doing with that?"

"We're gonna go get a tree," he answered.

"Oh, oh," Eliza said. "No." She stole the remote and turned the tv back on.  Sure enough, Penelope was making out with the nerdy guy.

"Told you so," Alexander bragged.

"Ughhh, I wanted her to get with Brad," Angelica sighed.

"No one cares about Brad," Alex responded like an angsty teenager.

~30 minutes of Alexander disturbing their Hallmark movie later~

"I'm freezing," Angelica whined.

"Me too," James Alexander agreed.

"We're on a Christmas tree farm miles away from our house. What do you want me to do? Ask Mother Nature to turn up the heat?" Alexander sassed.

"Y-yes," Philip replied through chattering teeth.

"Can't we just go home, hun. We have a nice tree there," Eliza suggested.

"No, this is going to be a nice family experience," Alexander said.

"Nice is not the word I would use," Angelica argued.

"Philip, where is your hat?" Eliza questioned.

"I didn't want to wear it," he answered defiantly.

"Me neither," James Alexander agreed, throwing his hat to the snow-covered ground. Eliza scurried to pick it up and placed it back on his head.

"Philip, be a good role model for your siblings," Eliza lectured.

"Hat revolution!" Philip shouted as he ran through the trees.

"You know back in the old days they had to cut down their Christmas trees not just use stupid plastic ones," Alex informed them.

"Does this look like 1776 to you?" Eliza responded.

"This looks like a nice one," Alex said, ignoring Eliza's sass. He pointed to a tall full evergreen tree.

"Yeah, okay, let's get it and get out of here," Angelica said rapidly because she was slowly losing feeling in her toes.

~Back at the house~

"I'm gonna burn my hat!" Philip shouted as he rifled through the cabinets.

"NO!" Eliza screeched running after him. Philip found a lighter and ran away from his mother.

"Don't come any closer or the hat gets it," Philip threatened, holding the lighter closer to the hat.

Eliza held up her hands while slowly walking towards Philip. "Put the lighter down," she ordered in a calm voice. Instead of doing as she said he raised it closer to it so that the tips of the hat were singed.

"Alexander, tell our son that he can't start a hat revolution anyways," Eliza demanded.

"I think he should follow his dreams," Alex responded as he walked through the door with the Christmas tree.

"Yeah!" Philip shouted while raising the lighter back up to the hat. Before the hat caught fire, Eliza knocked the lighter out of his hand. A small trailing wisp of smoke came out of the hat. Eliza snatched the lighter and placed it on top of the fridge.

"The hat revolution has been demolished," Eliza stated.

"Never!" Philip retaliated, cutting up the smoking hat with a pair of kid scissors.

"Philip!" Eliza scolded, running after him.

"Dad? Why is the tree moving?" Angelica asked. The tree was in fact rustling all by itself.

"What? Oh, um, I don't know," Alexander said. The pair looked at the moving branches. A robin flew out of the tree directly into Angelica's hair.

"AHHHHHH!!" she shrieked while swatting at her hair. Alexander ran to the kitchen and grabbed a broom. He violently bashed Angelica's hair and the bird flew out.

Angelica continued shrieking even though the bird was out of her hair. "Upstairs!" Alexander yelled. "Upstairs!"

They ran upstairs and into Alexander Jr. and James Alexander's room, slamming the door behind them. "What's going on?" Alexander Jr. asked.

"T-there's a bird downstairs," Angelica answered. A scream echoed up the stairs and Eliza and Philip arrived in the room, out of breath.

"Call the police!" Eliza directed. Alex pulled out his phone and dialed 911.

"911. What's your emergency?" A woman's voice asked from over the phone.

"A bird!" Alexander blurted. For somebody normally so eloquent, he was at quite a loss for words.

"Sir, I need you to calm down. We are sending enforcements your way now. What is the emergency?" the lady asked again.

"There's a bird. In our house!" Alex answered.

The women let out an audible sigh. "Enforcements are on the way."

"This is all your fault," Angelica hissed.

"Mine?" Alexander questioned.

"Yes. You made us buy that stupid tree," Angelica said.

"And interrupted our movie," Alexander Jr. added.

"And made me wear a hat," Philip joined in.

"That was Eliza. Not me!" Alex protested.

~After animal control got the bird out of their house~ (don't worry, they got the bird out safely and got its' nest out of the tree. They returned the bird and the nest to a tree near the Christmas tree farm and it lives a happy life with its family)

The Hamiltons stood in front of the infamous tree, considering what to do with it. "Can we put up our plastic tree, please," Eliza begged.

"Fine," Alexander agreed begrudgingly. He heaved the tree back outside and placed it in their front yard.

"So, what are we gonna do with it?" Philip asked.

"Kill it with fire," Angelica declared with an evil glint in her eyes. She was forever traumatized by that bird and was prepared for revenge on the tree that had caused the incident.

"Maybe that's not a good idea-" Eliza began but Alex had already struck a match and threw it on the tree. Immediately the entire tree was engulfed in fire with a whoosh of flames.

"For the hat revolution!" Philip said, plucking the hat off of Angelica's head and throwing it into the flames.

"PHILIP!" Angelica and Eliza hollered at the same time.
