"Black can't be your favorite color it's already mine" Jade whines and I rolled my eyes. He hasn't earned the title of becoming my father and I'd never disrespect the man who raised me by calling him that in front of him.
After he explained everything to me I cried lightly into his chest and ended up falling asleep like that. When I woke up he was still there and I felt safe and had the weirdest feeling like I remembered him from when I was younger and he told me it's probably because when I was a baby he'd always put me on his chest at night and I rarely slept in my crib.
"You not gonna talk to your moms?" He asked and I shook my head no. Yeah I know I have to talk to her eventually but after everything was explained to me I'm just annoyed at the fact that she did what she did even though I wouldn't change it.
"What was your reaction when you couldn't find me?" I asked him and he thought about it before answering.
"Me and your moms almost broke up for good because of it. Not only was she pregnant but you were gone and I wanted her to get an abortion. I know it's wrong but I was so frustrated so we ended up breaking off our engagement for awhile" he told me and I nodded.
I glanced over at my dad as he leaned back in his seat staring off into outer space. Jade smirked to himself and nodded towards him signaling me to go over and I did and took a seat in his lap.
"You don't have to act like that daddy, I'm still upset but I understand and no matter what your my dad and nobody can take that away from us, I just happen to be unique and have two dads that aren't gay" I joke and he chuckled.
"I'm about to get coffee, you went something to eat?" He asked and I shook my head no. He made me stand before leaving out and I climbed back in bed with Jade.
He just stared at me and I stared back at him wondering what he was thinking. I knew I got most of the faces I make from him because and I thought that was ironic. He furrowed his eyebrows together and I copied him and did the same.
"Give me a hug" he said simply before he pulled me into him and wrapped his arms tightly around me and kissing my forehead.
"Am I interrupting a moment?" Someone asked and I turned around and saw the man from the fair and the night before and squinted my eyes at him.
"He's the one who beat up the machine for me when my money got stuck and I got three bags of chips instead of one!" I said growing excited and he laughed as he leaned in the doorway.
"That's my brother Ohaji which makes him your uncle or whatever you want him to be" Jade told me and I looked the man over and smiled at how handsome he was but felt gross once I remembered the inappropriate thought I had of him at the fair.
"How old are you both? You look like your young but old at the same time" I tell them and Jade started chuckling.
Before they could respond Ivory walked in looking happy and I squinted my eyes at her. Jade pulled me into him about to whisper in my ear.
"She pregnant and that's still your moms so step out of the room if you can't handle it" He told me sternly and I glanced at him.
"Yeah whatever I don't even wanna be in here anymore" I rolled my eyes and heard him smack his teeth.
"C'mon uncle Ohaji we have lots to talk about!" I tell him grabbing his arm and pulling him out causing him to laugh.
"Yo I told y'all I was gone like this one" he said to them before we fully left out of the room. He seemed like he'd be cool.
I dragged him to the vending machines and then stopped and looked at him and he looked at me with a small grin. I returned it and he pulled me into a tight hug.
"When you gonna talk to your moms, that ain't cool ignoring her like that" he asked and I smacked my teeth.
"When she apologizes to my fathers and I. She's owes Jade an apology because she didn't think he was capable of raising me alone if she died. She owes my dad an apology for giving me to him and then trying to take me away and I want an apology for just be sent away"'I shrugged and he rubbed his chin and nodded.
"That seems reasonable enough, you wanna go get something to eat?" He asked and I shook my head no I hate hospital food.
"Nah lil bitch I'm talking about from Ihop" he laughed and I quickly nodded before punching him hard in the chest.
"Don't call me that or I'll start calling you lil dick" I smiled and he made a face and wiped away imaginary tears before pulling me into another hug.
"I love you so much already, I knew so of me had to of rubbed off on you when I had you mean mugging at only 4 months" he laughed as I followed him onto the elevator and then out of he hospital.
I knew we were going to be partners in crime I could just feel it.
Thirty minutes later we were seated in ihop with food in front of us. He had like three plates of food in front of him and I looked at him like he was crazy.
"Why are you so hungry? Aren't you rich?" I asked wide eyed and he swallowed some of his omelette and drunk some orange juice before answering.
"I smoke a lot of weed, I'm always hungry baby" he smiled and I shook my head. I saw the tattoo of the name Calvin on his neck and smiled remembering the guy I met at the beach they looked a lot alike and it clicked that he was my cousin.
I took a couple more bites of my pancakes before my phone started going off with messages and I frowned and looked down.
12:36pm Cali- I'm sorry frfr I should've told you but it wasn't none if my business and I don't want you being mad at me :( I can't eat I can't sleep...
I smiled to myself feeling a blush coming on. As mean as I am to him, Cali makes me feel really special every time I'm around him and I never got that feeling from anyone else.
12:40pm Me- U should come pick me up from my house later because we need to talk!
I smiled at my text before closing my phone and locking it already knowing that he was going to blow up my phone wanting to know what I wanted to talk to him about.
"So you just gonna ignore the nigga that just bought you food? I coulda left your rude ass at the hospital" My uncle snapped and I smiled and scooted next to him in the booth and wrapped my arms tightly around his neck.
"I'm sorry I'm just in a good mood right now" I tell him letting go and he looked at me before he started chuckling lightly.
"Who the fuck is this lil nigga that got you smiling like you crazy?" He asked and my eyes got huge as he sat his fork down. I knew if he told my dad and Jade they'd flip out and go hunt him down and kill him. Cali was to cute to be killed.
"Um promise you won't tell?" I asked nervously and he scrunched his face up before nodding and glancing down at his phone.
"His names Cali" I said quickly and he froze and mumbled something to himself as he seemed to get angry.
"I don't think I know anybody who'd name their kid that, whats his real name?" He asked curiously.
"Julian" I smiled and he started laughing loudly causing a few people to look over. I was genuinely scared and felt awkward.
The rest of our time together was spent eating and him telling me how gross boys are and how I shouldn't date until I was in a nursing home.

"Why the fuck are you smiling at your phone?" Calvin asked annoyed as we sat on the hood of his car and he smoked a gar.
"My baby texted me back" I smirked before my eyes landed on a brown skin girl bending over and tying her shoe string, she was looking good as hell from the back. I didn't have to look at Calvin to know that he was watching her just as hard as I was.
"Nigga you talk to my cousin don't be looking at her that's all me" he smirked hoping off of the car and I rolled my eyes.
"I bet you she won't talk to your lame ass" I bet him while pulling out a twenty dollar bill and placing it in his hands.
I watched Calvin walk the short distance over to girl. She quickly stood up and looked at him for a second and soon she started smiling. Her friend came out of nowhere and walked up to them and she looked in my direction with a smile.
She was red bone and equally as bad as the other girl. Cal motioned for me to come over so I slid my phone in my pocket and jogged over to them.
The brown skin was named Kaelin and the red bone was Devin. They both asked for hugs so we gave them quick hugs and Cal wrapped his arm around Kaelin and they went to his car.
"Your cute to not have a girlfriend, so do you?" Devin asked and I chewed my bottom lip and looked her over again.
"Nah I talk to someone but it's not that serious I'm still single" I shrug because it was the truth. Alijah was still playing and everybody was telling me to fall back.
"Well that's good, since your homeboy and my home girl are kicking it we should chill too" she said and I smirked and nodded.
"There's an Ihop around the corner and I'm starving" Devin said rubbing her stomach and I nodded. I just met this broad and she already trying to get me to take her out on a date, what the fuck?
"Since we just met you gon have to pay for your own food, it's a rule" I tell her and she busted out laughing and grabbed my arm pulling me towards Ihop. Cal better not leave my ass either he better still be there when I get done.
Devin kept looking at me and flirting and shit making me uncomfortable as hell. I felt like I should just fake sick and not chill with her but I didn't feel like hearing Calvin's non pulling ass mouth.
We walked into Ihop and I held the door open for her and we were quickly directed to a booth. My heart nearly fell out of my chest when I saw O and Alijah laughing and eating directly across the restaurant from us.
I was freaking out for two reasons, the first one was because I didn't need O recognizing me and blowing everything and I didn't want her to see me with Devin but then again she act like she don't want me so maybe this will make her stop playing.
I moved closer to Devin and wrapped my arm around her causing her to giggle loudly catching a few peoples attention.
After a moment I locked eyes with Alijah and she squinted her eyes at me as she sipped her orange juice and flicked me off on the low.
"So what are your interests?" Devin asked and I nodded my head not paying attention to her. After a few moments I watched Alijah get up and go to the bathroom still mean mugging.
"I gotta take a piss, I'll be right back just order whatever" I tell her walking into the same direction she went.
"The boys bathroom is that way?" Devin called confused.
"Oh foreal?" I mumbled under my breath. As soon as I got around the corner Alijah was leaning against the wall with her arms crossed and looked me over with an attitude and I smirked at her.
She roughly pushed me up against the wall and began kissing me as I wrapped my arms around her waist securely.
"You cute as fuck when you mad, you know that right?" I tell her out of breath when we stopped kissing and she wiped her lip gloss off of my lips.
"Shh just kiss me" she mumbled against my lips and I pulled her into me tighter and had to bend down even more putting more of my weight on her as we began kissing harder. My hands went to her ass and I gripped it firmly feeling her smile against my lips.
"Let's stop before O comes looking for you" I tell her and she kissed my lips quickly before walking away but I quickly grabbed her arm.
"I'm gonna call you later because ion think I can come get you from your crib, is that cool?" I asked and she bit her lip and nodded.
"I missed talking to you by the way, I feel like I can tell you anything" she smiled before walking away and I felt like shit. I couldn't tell her a lot of things when she told me everything.
I had to wait a few moments for my boner to go down before I returned back to the table and Devin began staring at me hard as hell.
"Why do you have lip gloss on your lips?" She asked and I quickly grabbed a napkin and long and behold there was pink lip gloss on my lips.
"You know it's a funny story" I laughed and she rolled her eyes and left out of the booth leaving me alone.
I didn't care though, I was still about to eat. She wasn't even all that anyway.

"Ivory just give her time to come around! You stressing me out baby" I whine catching a headache after hearing Ivory complain about this shit for the longest.
Moriah was laying in the hospital bed with me knocked out and Elias and Tristsn had took over the television in my room and argued and on top of that I had to hear Ivory cry about Alijah not wanting to talk to her.
I love my wife and kids to death but I really just wanted to relax. Ivory caught on to what I was thinking and kissed my lips lightly and stopped talking.
"BAE!" Elias yelled loudly and ran out of the room and I was tempted to strangle him. There was no need for all that yelling and shit.
He returned a few minutes later with O and Alijah who were laughing and talking. She was on O's back and he had an genuine smile on his face making me look at him weirdly.
"Ivory why don't you take lil man home" I tell her giving her a look and she frowned and got out of bed and when Alijah jumped off of O's back Ohaji grabbed Moriah out of the bed without waking him up and carried him out of the room with Ivory.
"Y'all was gone for like three hours, what was up with that?" I asked and she laughed like something was so funny.
"Nothing he was just telling me a funny story" she said shaking her head and I smacked my teeth. Now O trying to get all close to my daughter and shit before I even have the chance to bond with her.
I opened my arms and she climbed into them and laid her head on my chest like she did the night before and smiled.
"I have to leave soon, my dads ready to go because Zaire's leaving soon" she tells me and I sighed.
"Well just know that I love you and when I get out of here we gotta do something, just me and you aight?" I tell her and she nodded and gave me a small hug and climbed out of bed. I watched her give Tristan an awkward hug and her and Elias did some type of handshake before she left out.
This was a load of stress off my mind already and things could only get better from here, right?
